Moyes wont sign a strike partner for jelavic so it will be a back up. Hopefully a good one that can provide compitition for jelavic... Keep him on his toes! Based on that it will have to be a free/loan deal. Would still love to see castignoss? (inter kid) come in on loan. Rodellaga olic both available free and im sure there's other good options out there.Only 2/3 years to go till rooney's return.. So no need to go mad! Ha..

Ste EFC

Believable1 Unbelievable1

You know what, I have been hearing murmurs on Everton forums, that after his United contract is over, he could come back to Everton on free, wouldn't that be something, would only be 29 as well, and have a bit left to give us.

Don't know if I believe it all, but the lad is a scourer, and more importantly an Evertonian, I habour no hate for the lad, it was best for him, and for the club at the time, and both parties have benefitted but I would love to see him back in a blue shirt {Ed025's Note - just because his hair is false...theres no need to call him a scourer....lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Olic has agreed to join Wolfsburg at the end of the season

l think Jay Rodriguez is the perfect player to be put along side Jelavic {Ed025's Note - hes very good, but with a fee of around £8m, i dont think we will see him at goodison..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That fee is touted by The S*n, 'nuff said {Ed025's Note - well i never read it there mate...i despise everything to do with it!..

Neville a doubt and gibsons injured so mabe moyes will give Barkley a run out. Hope so anyway.
Blue kaz {Ed025's Note - it would be nice kaz...but with him playing midweek, i very much doubt it mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We will have to be patient with barkley, but he will be worth waiting for if we believe the hype

Bez the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see him starting kaz think Moyes will go for Fellaini and Osman in the middle and Pienaar and Gueye on the wings, might even opt for Mcfadden instead of Gueye.
We will see more of Barkley next season hopefully

Evening Fellow Blues and Eds

Have we not learned anything? Do we not even listen to ourselves? We speculate about who we should get rid of and people we should get in their place.

In Moyes We Trust is a maxim that adornes many a post yet we presume to know the great mans mind.

He is building a team for future generations .
He is mixing that youth with experienced pro's that will nurture and encourage the younger players.

Dream about who you would like but lets not decide who should be sold.

As Rodwell seems to be the focus of the current trend let us review what we know has been siad and which clubs would buy him given the
opportunity.

Fabio Cappello picked him for England

He got good reviews from all the media.

Sir Ales Ferguson wants him for Man U, arguably the best performing team in the toughest league in the world for the last 20 odd years. So he knows a thing or two about good players!

The chosen one also eyed Rodders when he was at Chelsea and was just an emerging talent.

City have also been linked, in fact
all the top performing clubs and managers have admire his talent.

Rodwell is injured it's a recurring problem that will get fixed, he's not some sort of
dodgy car thats making a noise that
you want to part ex as soon as.

If they don't have the skill, the attitude the desire and Everton running through their veins Moyesie will get rid. But that cannot be said for
Rodwell !

I've made comment on here previously about some of the posters on here picking on players because they're out the team or they have an off day.

They look for a weakness and point fingers.

Thats the same sort of attitude that made people burn witches!

We should stand together if they're in the teamor the squad then we stand behind them and cheer them on.

that's all there is to it!

IMWT and the team he selects.

Thats why he's the manager and we sit at our computers and dream, dreamings good but support the team.

Big C {Ed024's Note - Rodwell looked good at the start of the season next to fellaini and if he can stay injury fee we will see what a great player he is

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Great post, i still believe in rodders, i just wish his hamstrings would toughen up!!

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - that was a great post from big c..

Agree0 Disagree0

Big C spot on as usual mate, there is clearly a huge talent in rodders, he is just having some injury problems which will get sorted, lets stop posting get rid of our star future players

IMWT

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Good shout Big C, we need to remind ourselves that he is a centre back playing in midfield at a young age in the toughest league in the world. And doing a pretty good job outside of injury. How good is this lad going to be when he settles in his natural position? Only DM and his peers will be able to assess that.

Right now he's ours and if he was with someone else's team and we were being linked with him then we would be dreaming cos he would be out of our price range.

The fact is he is ours and he wants to stay. PRICELESS !!!!

INWT COYB

Toffee ace {Ed025's Note - i think we all know his best position ace... if he went to united, i think he would be playing centre back..

Agree0 Disagree0

For me, Rodwell isn't progressing as well as I thought, and I think he could benefit with a change of scenery, and to be fair, he wouldn't be in my first XI anymore with the way Gibson and fellaini are playing in the midfield.

I mean, keeping a player who is worth 10mil for a cash strapped club doesn't make sense for us, we might as well cash in and strengthen the overall squad, as we haven't really missed Rodwell at all during this stretch, and I feel we are only one or two quality attacking players away from challenging for European places. {Ed025's Note - i see your point mate...but i still feel he will make a great CB in the future..

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm going for an optimistic 6-0 for Everton against Wolves. Jelavic x4, Fellaini and Hibbert to score. Yes Hibbert, I reckon in a game where we so comfortable he might just nab one. {Ed024's Note - I'll go 3-1 everton, jelly man to get another goal

Hi ed there are lots of rumours going round who do u think will come in and go out? {Ed024's Note - Pineaar is an absolute priority and moyes is weighing up his options, pranjic is a strong possibility and dempsey if the price is right

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 May 2012 19:21:45
People keep saying we should sell Rodwell but I think he is quality and he will come good after he has got over his injury problems just remember how injury prone Gerrard was when he was that age and look how he turned out
Joe EFC

Believable4 Unbelievable0

He could turn out to be a very good player, but the fact is, since he has been injured, we haven't really missed him, and the way Gibbo and Fellaini are playing, I don't see him forcing his way into the XI.

Take the money and run, 10mil for Rodders allows us to sign piennar and get another quality player, someone like a Holtby from Schalke or Dempsey, and i thnk we could challenge the top 6, maybe even sneak into the top 4

Jelavic premier league player of the month for April, well deserved as well

Believable5 Unbelievable0

04 May 2012 17:29:35
any 1 think we should give baxter a go plays well for the ressies him and jelavic up top vs wolves might as well

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I'd prefer to see Velios given a chance alongside Jelavic because he has shown a lot of potential in flashes. I think he'd benefit from Jelavic's intelligent link up play and movement.

whiteshadow {Ed024's Note - Velios looked great earlier on in the season and lost his way slightly, he needs a confidence boost and a bit of game time and i think he will come good

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd like us to sell Rodwell, buy Victor Moses from Wigan, he's quick, loves dribbling and has a shot on him + he's young. Great on the right wing.

Buy Pienaar, then just try getting a good player to play upfront behind Jelavic and I'd be happy.

whiteshadow {Ed025's Note - me too shadow..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Not sure about moses, took him a while to look good in a very poor team with wigan so dont know if id take the chance

Agree0 Disagree0

I really rate him, I think a big club will buy him at some point and he'll shine.

He's versatile too and can play upfront as well as on the wing, which helps when we have a smaller squad than bigger teams. {Ed024's Note - Moses is quality

Agree0 Disagree0

It's harder to look good in a weaker team though and he's young. I think he's defo good enough to make it. Other teams defences panic when he runs at them. He reminds me of Valencia before Man Utd bought him and a lot of people didn't think he was any good until "after" he'd moved.

Would anyone swap Rodwell for pienar if that
was the only deal Spurs would agree to? {E025's Note -absolutely!!!!

Believable2 Unbelievable6

I wouldnt if he can get over injuries and get back to form hes a top top player

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldnt, swapping a 21yr old for a 30yr old is not a good deal for us, if it was Rodwell for Pienaar and some money (5-6mil) then I would take it.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2012 16:19:06
if we want to sign big players like dempsey or even our own peanaar, i think players will have to be sold.. who would you sell though, rodwell? felli? barkley?:( {Ed025's Note - only fringe players for me..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Sell Anichebe and one of Rodwell or Jagielka, should bring in about 13mil, and that should cover Pienaar and another quality player. {Ed025's Note - just the fringe players for me mate...

Agree0 Disagree0

Yobo apparently will be sold for 2 million. I think we should sell Anichebe might get around 2 million? Mucha probably less than a million. These 3 would cover Pienaar and we REALLY wouldn't miss them!

Just seen cisse's goal, what a buy he has been, down to earth lad too. Sold carrol for 35 and bought cisse for 9, class lol. Two best buys of the season jelly and cisse, looking forward to next season with these two on fire

Degsy {Ed025's Note - i agree with that degsy..

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Disagree, koppite alert

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelly and cisse have been sensations, it proves there are top class players out there for less than 10 million, someone should tell kenny.

Bez the blue

Don't tell kenny let him keep doing what he's doing it gives us more to laugh at!.......grbefc {Ed024's Note - Kenny is the king of comedy

I see Liverpool are being linked with dempsey as well...would be interesting to see if it came to it who he would pick. BlueDan {Ed025's Note - it would depend on his priorities dan...if he wanted to be part of a team with good spirit, family values, heading in the right direction, with brilliant, loyal supporters...then us.....if he,s just after a big pay day...then them!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

We wont be able to compete with liverpools 48 million bid for the lad

team for wolves.
..................Howard....................
Hibbo...Jags...............Heitinga..Disin..
Osman..Cahill/Gibson.....Felliani...Gueye.
...............Barkley........................
........................Jelavic................
what do you think ed?

toffee haz {Ed025's Note - i like the look of that haz..gibbo is still injured i think, so tim is favourite to play, also i think ross will be left out, unfortunately..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

What is exactly wrong with Gibson?

Gibson has been an absolute brilliant signing by Moyes, I still cant believe all he cost was 500K, he is the type of player that you don't really notice when he is playing, but when he isn't playing you definitely notice, thought we really did miss him against Stoke. {Ed025's Note - its down as ..athletic pubalgia mate...whatever that is, but i agree that we do miss him..

Agree0 Disagree0

Flippin' 'eck, Ed. Thought that he'd signed for some Spanish club for a minute!
Toffee Tezza. {Ed025's Note - love it tezza...lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Where's Pienaar?

Agree0 Disagree0

It'll be Howard; Hibbo, Jags, Heitinga, Distin; Osman, Neville, Fellaini, Pienaar, Cahill; Jelavic. Think Gibbo's still out :(

I've heard that Diame is already a done deal, will come in as soon as pre-season training begins. Wanted to know what people think of him as a signing and if he'll be able to make a good contribution? And since Moyes was able to not let pride get in the way by bringing in McFadden, would he do the same with the Yak (I don't see Blackburn surviving)? Also keep hearing that Dempsey is coming to Everton, but how much will that cost? While Dempsey would be great, all I want for now is Pienaar signing a permenant deal, then work from there. Unfortunately I can see Harry demanding at least 5mil. I think we're going to be selling someone, and the only person I think is worth selling is Rodwell.

Steve EFC

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Diame would slot in well so hope that is true, The Yak is a no no for me, been there bought the tee shirt, Dempsey would be amazing. On Pienaar I know people are saying Spurs may ask for top dollar but Peanuts will have a big say in the matter, if he demands a move then they will sell, players now have all the power

Degsybluenose {Ed025's Note - i hope your right degsy...peanuts is vital..

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you have a source or anything? Would be a brilliant addition to the team, really is a physical lad in the middle of midfield, and would compliment the likes of Gibson, and could give us the luxury of pushing Fellaini forward if we really wanted. Not to mention, the price is perfect for us.

Additionally, signing him for free and selling Rodwell for 10mil would be terrific business, think both are decent players capable of becoming really good players, and we can put the 10mil to Pienaar and another player that can contribute to the XI (Dempsey, Holtby or whoever)

More rumours regarding Straqualersui today.
Reports now saying that he will be available for 2 million, NOT 5?
Anyone think he's worth 2 mill? I'm not sure {Ed025's Note - even thats a bit steep mate...there are a number of freebies out there who are better options..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Hugo rodellega from wigan is free {Ed025's Note - good shout..

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a great character but unfortunately isn't as good as we need. I'd rather have Vellios taking his spot on the bench. But there are some great frees out there, I'd definitely get Rodallega, even though I don't think he'd be impressed with the possible lack of first team placing he'd get.

Steve EFC

Agree0 Disagree0

We like him because his attitude is bang on, but there are better players out there we can get, good luck to the lad.

I've had a look at the image for the supposed new home shirt and tbh, I'm not that impressed. What's with those sleeves? How about this for a radical idea? Nike come up with 3 prototype designs and the fans pick the best one. The majority of fans then cannot moan. BlueTone {Ed025's Note - good idea that tone...it wont happen...but good idea..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Haha, Nike doing prototypes for Everton?? Everton get the generics, the Everton kit is pretty much based off the Brazilian kit.

Not a fan of those white rings at the end of the sleeves either, all I want is a traditional blue shirt. {Ed025's Note - im just waiting to see what colour cufflinks they bring out!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi just looked at that leaked kit pic im not sure those white bands are part of the kit maybe part of the mannequin its on at least i hope to god it is

Hi ed, everyone's giving different choices for a partner for jelivic next season, all of them are good options, but I feel everyone's forgetting that we play 4.4.1.1, the jelly mans gonna be up on his own next season with someone in behind him, Moyes has played this formation since he arrived and ain't gonna stop now! So I think it's players who can play in the hole who will be realistic targets!

Kurajan {Ed025's Note - i think you may be right kurajan...a lot of the names mentioned can play that role..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Dempsey could share the role with cahill next season if we signed him, with fellaini as a back up in that role.

Bez the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Dempsey (if we sign him) barkley, osman, pienaar, cahill, felli can all play behind the striker {Ed025's Note - your right..

Agree0 Disagree0

I prefer Felli to play behind Jelavic because he's more creative than Cahill but Felli's shooting is poor. We really need someone who is creative and can score to take some of the pressure off Jelavic. Dempsey can do that but his age, price don't make him a realistic option to me unless Moyes knows something I don't.
