Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

6 miillion a year is a steal in todays money for Koeman. We were paying Moyes 5 mill a year years ago. 120 grand a week they reckon he will be on as the most important and influential person in our squad. Compare that to 50k a week for Niasse.

Might splash the cash on the new everton top if Koeman signs. Haven't bought one for the last to seasons, my little protest.

Well if the Koeman announcement happens I will be happy, one thing is for sure we have a great squad as it is and Koeman will definetly sort out the problems which Martinez installed in them, like our defence, that is for sure, I see this appointment as the start of something special and the money Moshiri seems to be willing to spend puts us up there alongside the elite.
The Premiership is a level playing field and top 4 is anyone's now and I like how pundits are already looking at next season as pep v mourinho, let them carry on with that so we can go about our own business.
Players I would like to see come with him
Forster - we need a good goalkeeper and he is someone we can have for a decade
Tadic- really like him scores and creates goals
Yarmolenko- I know he is not a Southampton player but he is top class
If Lukaku goes we will need to spend big on striker maybe 2 but this Swiss kid looks good look forward to seeing him play in euros, someone said to me the other day how did we get him so cheap, I was unware of him but my mate said he is going to be top drawer, my mate is Swiss so could be just bigging him up.

Lukaku your good there is no doubt
But sadly for Everton you want to get out

As a professional you do lack some class
Try being humble instead of so brash

When you are playing your goals are great
But learn to trap a ball, honestly mate

You think you're the greatest since Drogba
it's true
Son you got a long way to go and that is sure true

Evening lads. just finished watching wee Norn iron stretch the unbeaten run to 12 games against Slovakia. A nil each draw away not to shabby considering Slovaks beat Deutschland 3-1 away last week. I could be viewed biased but I'd like to throw in three players who I think from Norn iron team I really rate

Paddy mcnair--- currently at united had a break through season with them but with van gaal gone won't be in mourinhos plans. their loss as he can play centre half holding mid and tip of the diamond. O'Neill had him right side of back three tonight and he kept hamsic quiet.

Johnny Evans. another ex united player but someone very very underated in my opinion fergie rated him big time. played in champs league scores goals from set pieces. good in the air good on the deck knows when to go to the deck and when to stand up.

Steven Davis. I see people commenting on who they'd like from the saints. well this is the boy I want hard worker scores goals brave a good working class lad reminds me of Naismith and great tackler. a wee mention for Stuart Dallas to end my post he's a left winger

Looking forward to next season greatly I hope the youth comes through and we sign a great hungry centre forward to replace lukaku. my shout is Andre gray from Burnley.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

04 Jun 2016 22:18:20
I like davis, think mcnair is a decent young defender (which we have in spades) but Evans? Really? I wouldn't have took him last year if he promised to play on a free as well as serving bovril at half time. Personally, with the ambition moshiri is showing, we need to be aiming higher.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 22:36:38
As I say I'm a bit biased but I like Evans chum. he's not fancy but he wins headers and is good on the deck. a lot of Norn iron players are in the shop window at the euros. michael O'Neill was saying van gaal wasted McNair at centre half . he's better in midfield.
Just as a wee footnote I'm not for splashing the cash on players from small time leagues all around Europe here's my scouting technique whose the best keeper defender holding mid attacking mid centre forward in the CHAMPIONSHIP that's my starting point.

. commented yesterday. no way will Sammy Lee come to Everton as a coach. just will not happen. I know Sammy has been to Goodison many times and is always welcome, . given the links. but no way he will come in such a permanent position of responsibility. only my opinion n I will hold my hands up if I am wrong.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Only through a third party such as his agent or sister.}

04 Jun 2016 17:22:37
If we have agreed terms with Koeman then it's likely that Everton have an agreement in place for compensation with Southampton and they have now given permission for Us to talk to him. can't imagine the talks will be that long:
"Mr Koeman we would like to pay you £6 million pounds a year for 3 years and you have about £100 million pounds to spend on transfers what do you say"
Mr Koeman: Ermm. Jah! wheres the pen.

04 Jun 2016 15:58:03
Pleased if we get Koeman and very pleased the way Moshiri has firstly identified his target and secondly gone after his man relentlessly. Bodes well for the future and hopefully the same will occur with his recruitment of a Director of Football. Have to feel sorry for the Southampton supporters though, they lose top players and managers on a regular basis. Let's hope Koeman doesn't do the same with us when Barcelona or Arsenal come looking in the near future.

Just read a post from Dagenham Gunner call Evertonians a " weird lot ". Arsenal have probably the best ground in the country ( including WembleY ) . Annual champions league qualifiers and have no debt . They are the perfect model of how a football club should be run. Yet every time you watch Arsenal it's Wenger out . Everytime you turn on the radio and listen to a fans phone in it's Wenger out. When the Premier League started Everton and Arsenal were very much on a par. Old grounds massive history, Arsenal went forward, we went backwards. Gunners should count their blessings not whinge. WEIRD LOT THOSE GOONERS.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i do the gunners site as well garyo and always tell these arsene haters to be careful what they wish for, it seems as though if you dont win the league every 2 years its sack the manager time..sad really mate..

04 Jun 2016 15:31:15
They should construct a statue for him. Sadly what Wenger done for that club will never be realised properly. Not only a top manager but a top business man as well. Secured Arsenals' future at the very top for a long time to come.

Apologies for posting on this subject once again, but I can't believe the level of anti Bill Kenwright feeling that still exists amongst us Evertonians.
Yes I will accept his search for new investment has dragged on . As Evertonians put yourself in his position. Having to weed out the likes of Venlys at Blackburn, Vincent Tan would have us wearing red . Imagine him in charge of our beloved club . Leeds have been through more managers than I care to remember . Hull with their name change. Look at Villa, Newcastle and remember our very own Peter Johnson . Manchester United fans aren't happy with the Glaziers and what a pity Liverpools first American owners weren't allowed more time to put them into administration.
Our new owner is already being compared to Sir John Moore's and the Echo has talked about the return of the Mersey Millionaires. Put in place by Bill Kenwright . .

Believable6 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i dont need convincing garyo, always respected the guy and as far as im concerned always had everton,s welfare at heart mate..

04 Jun 2016 13:34:52
Couldn't agree more Garyo, whilst it has been a frustrating not having the money to compete with our premier league rivals, Bill Kenwright truly loves Everton and Moshiri looks very promising. I can't remember ever being this excited about a close season before. COYB!

Agree3 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 13:48:25
Spot on Garyo. Bill deserves our thanks and respect, not just for what has happened in recent months, but also for taking on the club in the mess it was in and giving us stability at a time when it would have been so easy for us to go the way of Leeds Utd and others.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he always said he would get the best possible for us wedge, and seems to have delivered in the shape of moshiri mate..

04 Jun 2016 17:33:35
Have to agree with this, he has one fault he is not a multi millionaire which is not a crime. People forget that Kenwright saved us from bankrupsy and brought stability to the club with Moyes.
When it came to selling he waited to find the right man, not like most owners who have sold there clubs just for the money without enough care.
You only have to look at Leeds, Liverpool who nearly went under and there are more.
So we should all be very greatfull to Kenwright.

If we do get koeman I hope he brings three a lot of our youth team next season to pad out the squad and only buys 4/ 5 players at most, ad say we need a gk a cb and a striker maybe two, other than that ad rather c the likes of Gibson peanuts and ossie replaced with the Davies Dowell and the likes we have a genuinely fantastic youth team with many capable of at least being squad players next year, I just hope whoever comes in doesn't just flood our team with foreign players when we have so many home grown talents already at the club.

A lot of people say Koemans record is not good Ajax 3 titles, PSG 1 title, Valencia 1 Copa Del Rey and Southampton twice beat there record points tally seems pretty good to me, for me he is a better manager than Mancini unlimited resources sacked at City. Pelligrini unlimited resources sacked at City. Emery and De Boer decent managers but not as good as the really special one Ronald Koeman come on Everton get this done quick.

Believable6 Unbelievable2

04 Jun 2016 05:14:33
What you forget is that at City with unlimited resources come very high expectations. Seasons like last year (where everyone was beating everyone) don't come around very often and cannot be foreseen. One poor season at City and you are gone.

I'm skeptical yet excited for any new arrival (providing it isn't of the ilk/ style of a Moyes or a Bruce) . Every manager represents some form of risk. For me, I like Koeman, but do I think he's done enough to earn £7m a year? No. For me, those kind of earnings are for a top, top manager who has won things at the highest levels domestically in the top countries (Italy, Spain, England, Germany) .

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 05:57:10

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 06:41:40
Tommy, all them top top managers are already rmployed by the top top teams. Until we become a top team again we will have to take our chances on the best of the rest. You've got to speculate to accumalate so to speak.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - your right jimmy, we are hardly the biggest name these days and although we now have money the teams from the capital and manchester are all more lucrative than us im afraid, lets hope moshiri can change this and we end up the club every manager wants to be at mate..

04 Jun 2016 11:52:38
That is exactly right Ed025, that's why i said yesterday people need to see the whole picture.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 06:01:33
The problem being tommy is we don't have european football to attract a top top name so what we lack in competition we have to offer more money to make it look more attractive. However if he signs and gets us into cl then he's worth every penny of that reported 7mil. Even if we sign a few top players cl places are still hard to achieve. The prem has to be the most competitive league around now. Still the futures a lot more promising.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2016 13:18:21
I suppose maybe you're right. I'm not saying that I'm averse to Koeman, far from it, and maybe I'm still thinking about saving the pennies because it's ingrained in me from the financial struggles we have had over the course of my lifetime (and perhaps because that's what the missus keeps telling me to do! ) For me, it would be a coup to get Koeman, as Southampton are in virtually the same situation as us (even if they lack the richness of our history) . I think on the whole the fans will be happy with Koeman, and hopefully normal service can resume at Goodison next season and the boo boys can get back in their shells!
