Creative midfielder in January would be the perfect part of the jigsaw we are missing although we could do with one or two more, just a quality playmaker and I think we could make a serious challenge for the top 4 providing we don't blow it over the coming weeks.

mirallas out Yarmolenko in, dreaming Stef.

To be honest Degs don't want to see Mirallas go mate but if Yarmolanko was his replacedment then I won't complain but as you say dreaming mate.

Maybe if mirallas goes to ac milan we could do a deal and get honda in a swap. Just a thought

There is no way that Yarmalenko will sign for us. If it ever gets close, which it won't. It'll be because we're used as bait by his agent to get a better deal elsewhere.

Mirallas for Honda would be a positive for Milan and a negative for us in my opinion. A lot of people think KM has a bad attitude. I don't agree personally but irregardless, Honda has a worse one.

Pretty much spot on wakka57 imo. Just 2 slight changes I would make to that.

Coleman has to be worth more than £10m surely? I'd be thinking at least double that.

Other thing is I very much doubt anyone in the premiership would take Howard. MLS imho

Actually two more slight changes. McCarthy surely again worth £25m? People are actually seeing his worth to the team when he was took off against Bournemouth. The amount of running and closing down the opposition he does is incredible. Haven't seen anyone ever do it better or the amount he does. Still young too.

Mirallas I think is slightly under valued also. More like £15m for me.

O yea and McGeady, I don't knock him or say he's past it but I'd take hand and all if we got £2m for him.

Would actually say that you have vastly underrated a few players, being Coleman,McCarthy and baines. Barkley is worth more as well.

been wanting to post this for ages Wak bot never had balls ha ha, pretty much spot on for me mate, as you stated Stones and Rom both 40 plus and I agree both must be 50 as a starting price in todays market, agree with NBTB on Mc and Coleman, both minimum 20 million.

Jeers Murf1000, Honest Blue that's pretty much what I said apart from Barkley. I kinda agree he may be worth more than £25m but marginally more imho.

Baines I don't think is worth any more due to his age. Baines surely has reached his peak. Not writing him off but I'd be surprised if he has max another 4 years in Premiership. I'll be as glad as anyone if he proves me wrong.

We're well covered in that position so competition will be rife. Garbutt, Galloway, Oviedo and even Funes Mori can play there. That's not even counting the young left footed centre backs signed recently, who will no doubt be considered for left back before going to centre back.

Baines will do very well from now on to keep all them out. Don't get me wrong. I rate Baines as one of the best left backs in Europe. Just saying he won't last forever and plenty of contingency plans are in place for his replacement. Thank god, big shoes to fill.

jags has got to be worth more than 4-5 mill and a higher than mid prem, He could quite easily fit in a top 4 club looking at what's about.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Dec 2015 21:36:38
Yea prob is as good as any centre backs in the premiership. But he is 33 so who knows how much longer he'll go on for. I'd be hoping 3 - 4 years myself. So 4 - 5m sounds bout right for me. But yeah prob top 7.

I know you didn't include young or newly signed but I'd be interested in your valuation of Deulefeu and Galloway.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2015 09:39:53
thats a tough one Ace, just going by his pedigree and start to season i'm saying Del boy @ 20 million, not good news for us as Barcelona will recall, Galloway looks a great prospect and 60% of prem teams would probably have him as their LB, bit mad as next season he will probably be third choice for us, i'm guessing at 8 million, I know people may say too much for Galloway but I really rate the lad.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2015 10:12:08
Cheers for the feedback guys, Deulefeu is going to be a £15m plus after this season, and its hard to judge Galloway at this time because its more about future development but got to be £5m plus even now. Jags value was age based and I feel his position could now be under pressure when Funes Mori gets more game time. Also agree maybe I was a bit harsh on Coleman but his form has been a bit up and down this season, and McCarthy is £20m plus .

I think it's a great debate lads. And don't really see any overinflated valuations. Although it does appear that we've missed out on improving the player value of our keeper which just underlines almost every posters concerns with TH. Maybe if it gets any windier on Monday night he may bag a goal like he did against Bolton.

Everyone gave valuation's that were fairly close to each other. Wakka57 Del boy has the potential to be world class. He is on fire at the moment. If he keeps improving he will develop into a top top player. Don't think he'll ever get to the highs that Ronaldo has but if it does happen I have to say I wouldn't be surprised. Only 21 and has time on his hands to keep improving and developing the talent he obviously has.

Galloway is a hard one. If I was a premiership manager I would gladly give at least £5m for him. Also has a bright future only being 19.

If Everton hold on to these players the future looks exciting and very interesting.

I also think its a good debate Toffee ace. Fair play to you wakka57 for your post.

Howard-Pay a team 2m to take him (anything to get rid)

Joel-2m Better than a lot of BPL Goalkeepers

Coleman-15mm any prem team

Stones-40m (best English Centre Back in decades is not cheap) any prem team

Jagielka-3m (too old) any prem team bar City, better than Mertesacker not as good as Koscielny.

Galloway-10m (he looks this good at Left Back, can't wait to see him at Centre Half) at Left Back he's one of the best defensively, just not going forward.

Baines-7m most prem teams

McCarthy-18m most prem teams

Barry-1m too old but quality and could get in most teams

Barkley-20m get in half the teams behind the striker, not Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool, Utd, City, Southampton, West Ham or Newcastle.

Osman-Free, can't think of a team he is good enough to get in to, Newcastle, Villa, Bournemouth, Norwich and Watford all have better Midfielders.

Besic-5m still young

Gibson-2m could do well in any mid to lower prem team.

Deulofeu-30m has more talent than any attacking player in the league under the age of 23. Would get in every team, City he's better than Sterling, Arsenal he's miles ahead of Ox or Walcott. Liverpool he's much better than Ibe and Origi, Spurs he's better than Lamela and Chadli and so on.

Mirallas-12m on his day can get in most team.

McGeady-ahahahaha

Naismith-5m most mid to lower teams.

Kone-6m mid to lower teams.

Lukaku-35m all teams except City because of Aguero, as good a finisher as anyone else. Obviously streets ahead of Rooney, Giroud and has so much more ability than Kane, Benteke and Costa.

All my opinion but yeah I agree, good and interesting debate.

NBTB, Ross said he wants to be a box to box player soon, said it in his interview before the Derby when Carragher is interviewing him and Osman.

Plus for me he simply isn't intelligent enough to play that role.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

04 Dec 2015 14:22:53
Thanks for that Swan. Isn't intelligent enough for no 10 role? Fair enough, I think he would improve a lot over next 2 - 3 seasons.

Problem is with box to box midfielder we don't really need or it doesn't fit in to current system. Having 2 defensive midfielders you'd be looking for Barkley to stay forward.

Funny enough Barkley hasn't impressed me, certainly in the last two games, in regards to tracking back. Especially the Mid game. He lost the ball a couple of times and didn't look bothered to win it back.

One occasion it actually looked like he wanted to give the ball away when he had it at the edge of the big box and there was 2 Mid players in front of him. He just tapped the ball into the feet of the apposing player. Then just doddled back as if nothing happened. Never even tried to get it back.

For me Martinez is too lenient when players lose the ball. He even said it doesn't bother him if an attacking player loses the ball. He has to draw the line somewhere because it appears Barkley is kinda taking advantage.

Plenty of other managers would eat his head off.

04 Dec 2015 15:00:26
this season he's our second top scorer with 7, that's not a bad return at this time, maybe we are all a little to critical of Ross, he is still developing and yes he does give it away but his all round game is sound enough.

I'm not knocking him wakka57 just making an observation. He's actually one of my fav's and I'd love for him to spend his whole career at Everton. Overall a special talent, no doubt.

Just a thought on the Baines situation. Martinez states Baines will have to fight for his place due to Galloway performing well in his absence, but brought Howard back on right away even though Joel performed well in his absence? Double standards or just blind loyalty.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

04 Dec 2015 09:53:59
Totally agree bluegray87. Doesn't add up. Some people will prob say its because its a vital position, the goaldie and that Howard's experience makes him better.

I say its all a load of bull. For me Joel is simply a better keeper at the moment. Simple as.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Dec 2015 09:55:12
Baines is a class left back and current international, his stats for chances created and assists are as good as many top midfielders in Europe, if and when he is match fit then he should play, but only when. Galloway has done a terrific job in his absence and deserves all the plaudits he has achieved, he is still learning and still young, and Baines is a great role model, I'm sure Galloway can become an England international in a year of so given the right guidance and opportunities.

Just listened to Andy Gray talking about Neville appointment.
Said it was, a big regret in his life that he bottled the Everton job when it was offered.
If he'd taken it, what do posters think would have been the outcome?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Dec 2015 09:56:41
The fact he bottled it says enough for me, if he had done well i'm sure he would have jumped ship to a top side if that was an option.

04 Dec 2015 12:32:53
Don't most players and managers 'jump ship' when an opportunity to join a top side comes up? Its called ambition.

Thought when gray was offered assistant manager to howard kendall he took skys big pay rise offer. At that time united had fergie, chelsea were only winning there first cup in years and man city were in dire straits at maine road waiting on a handout stadium. apart from overseas and commiting the ultimate sin were would he go.
