I think unless were going to use Bilyaletdinov in his correct position we may as well move him on so he can fulfil his potential maybe back in russia.

As for Anichebe he is at best a championship player, its not as if you can even say he tries hard or works hard because he doesn't.

Just hope we can stay competitive this season, stay in the top half, and hopefully with our debt halved and money being saved on wages we might come more attractive to investment.

We are the best fans in the league in my opinion and that's not being biased, the things we go through and the financial struggle we have had for most of the last 15 years and the highs and lows of being relegation bound to being in the top 4 challenge. No matter what we always support our club and fill the stadium and sell out every away game !!

Lets get behind them on saturday against villa and see what happens ?

Its important our performances improve. We need to be more attacking and play 4-4-2. We have 2 winnable home games to come and that can be the starting point to putting a good run together. The two new signings should give us something a bit different as well, i think they will they will both be key players for us this season

drenthe looks good and that stracalusi cant be judged until he's played so we'll have to wait and see i think we need to land landon donovan on a permanent deal COYB heads up fans

Ok folks, we have now all had time to digest all the transfer deadline day activities, at first like most i was gutted when mikky left but when you look at the big picture in my opinion he was on a downward spiral since his horror injury at newcastle and has not been the same player since, he is nearly 30 and well past his prime so i think we got a good deal apart from the timing of the deal, anyway we have some good youngsters coming through and we are some way to clearing the debt which im sure will make us a far more attractive proposition for future investors, I do believe investment is not that far away now that most of the debt has been cleared, We just need to keep everyone now and not let any more big names leave our fantastic club, Looking forward to the long term future...IMWT

I agree, the future does look better. We have a fair amount of very talented young players for the future as well. Lets get behind the lads and put ourselves in the top 7 with a victory over villa

Think Moysey and Kenwright have pulled off two great signings just in time! Very sad to see Arteta leave but just been watching Drenthe on youtube and on his day he is CLASS! Skillfull, very fast and hardworking. Think he will make a big contribution to our midfield. Not to sure about the argie striker though but lets wait and see, fingers crossed!

I think moyes has once again proved how shrewd he is in the transfer market by picking up these two players. I am looking forward to seeing them hopefully both in action against villa

Can anyone confirm what the position is on signing out-of-contract players? I'm sure I read somewhere that, for the Premiership at least, they had to be registered in the team squad by 2/9, (yesterday).

Well, once again we've a strange transfer window. It's going to be interesting to watch the 2 new guys. I'm going to love it if Moysie has done it again & found 2 gems for nothing. My Mum always used to say, It's not clever to gloat, - Sorry, Mum. But if he has, those across the park are going to get some stick!

Drenthe is an exciting signing. He can help to give us the pace and width we have been missing and make up for missing out on n'zogbia. Hopefully moyes will get 6 mill from the arteta sale in january to bring in another striker. COYB

As far as I know Gignac is a free agent and Vittek for Slovakia is a free agent.
Gignac is a striker with European experience and has scored around the 15/20 goal mark most seasons.
Vittek is a very big, strong striker who can score as he showed in the World Cup with 4 goals for Slovakia. Both players would improve our team a great deal and together could probably score over 30 or maybe even 40 goals between them in one season.
If they are both free then we should seriously look to sign them, because together they would, without a doubt, solve our striker problems.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I dont no about vittek but gignac is not a free agent they were trying to sell him but he is still under contract

Agree0 Disagree0

We all wish Moyes would sign these players but he wont

I would put billy in the centre as well, we might get the best out of him in that postion.I like the look of the midfield as well,i hope coleman is back for the villa game

Agree0 Disagree0

Barkley will start against villa after his impressive displays so far this season

Agree0 Disagree0

I would put drenthe on the right so he dosen't invade Baines teritory and then Gueye on the left and Coleman as rightback

Agree0 Disagree0

I think pace wise Drenthe and Baines will be a wonderful partnership down the left side I think Drenthe is a Pienarr-esque player.

No barkley..or rodders hmmm

-Toffeeboy-

I'm surprised that we never made a move for Vicente he was a free agent and i thought he maybe could have still provided something for us on a pay as you play deal? He has now signed for Brighton! Is Gignac still available?

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Totally agree mate
