Whats our best team lads??

Howard

Hibbert Jagielka Distin Baines

Mirallas Gibson Osman Pienaar

Fellaini
Jelavic

Howard

Coleman Heitinga Jagielka Baines

Mirallas Gibson Osman Pienaar

Fellaini
Jelavic

Couldn't really decide on the defense!?

Anyone agree with these two or which one is better? OR does anyone have a different team that they think is our strongest!??
No matter what, this has surely got to be a strongest side for over 20 years?

The 2nd one in my opinion, think we should get Donovan permanently in January put him on the right put Mirallas behind Jelavic and drop Fellaini back into midfield with Gibson. Just my personal opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I prefer the 2nd line up you mentioned, for me, Heitinga and Distin are a toss up, you can even throw Jags int eh mix because we have 3 very good CB's.

As for right back, after watching the game on the weekend it has to be Coleman, with him in the side, our right hand side looks actually threatening and a viable option for once in what seems years. Coleman and Mirallas, given time, could potentially forge the same kind of partnership as we have on the left with Baines and Pienaar.

coleman is pants

Agree0 Disagree0

Both good side's, the second one is very attacking which we should always play at home no matter what or who we play! Coleman and Mirallas are dangerous, quick and direct and both can score.
For years (apart from when Pienaar went to spurs for a year!) we just had a left side that managers knew they had to stop and if they did stop they would stop our only threat, now opposing managers have to figure out how to stop Baines and Pienaar aswell as Coleman and Mirallas!! It's very promising for us at the minute and not forgetting the little matter of how to stop Jelavic and Fellaini and also with Osman finally playing in centre midfield he is also a threat with his vision and technically ability in the final third! We have game changers everywhere, just need to keep them fresh and fit for the season and we are more than capable of finishing in the top 4

Don't know if this is the right place to post or ask this question but does anyone else get email off Everton Football Club entitled 'The Knowledge Box' ? First time I had one today and then a few hrs later same email header entitled 'Apology' sent to wrong email address. Was wondering if it was common to receive these as I've never had them before or maybe they're spam/viruses or malicious software being distributed. Any help or responses would be most welcome and appreciated if only to serve as a deterrent to others who may get them. Thanks

Teams that have pressed us and played with a physical tempo - like WBA and Leeds did by and large..and Newcastle did in the second half - have caused us problems. I wonder how Wigan will play...Martinez is a smart enough manager to have a game plan for playing us, so we need to be on top of our game to exploit our superiority in terms of having better quality players. If we start coasting and drop the tempo, then we're going to get caught out IMHO. Complacent attitudes like "it's only Wigan...who are they" just don't cut it in the EPL these days.
Cowpat Sid {Ed025's Note - your right sid..

All managers will have a game plan to play us Cowpat

That, Sid my friend, is a top class post. That sort of attitude is what proper football fans should have, like us Blues.

And the people who say, as you stated, ''It's only Wigan...who are they?'' need only look at last season; Wigan (the DW Stadium match, not home); QPR (home and away) and even most of the matches in the first half of last season. Even though we do have a better style of play along with better players so it should be easier for us to switch our style of play should they plan to counter it.

Also, I trust Moyes to send the team out in a way which will win us he game - both mentally and tactically!

Ed remember when I brought up the subject of stub hub being legalised ticket touting,I was surprised when most of the responses were for it,now I no you don't have to use this service but the price thats getting asked for one ticket to a league game is between 250-500 pound ...now I don't care what anyone says that's a disgrace..........tristen.......ps..source fourth official twitter pictures to prove {Ed001's Note - I am with you on this, no one should be able to sell on a ticket above face value, it is not like it is cheap to go to a match anyway!}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

As long as fans can get tickets at the proper price from the Everton box office, then why would anyone want to pay way over the odds at Stub Hub - unless it's a case of trying to get tickets for an otherwise sold-out match. The same goes for theatre tickets - do I see a BK influence here ;-) You can buy direct from the box office or use a booking agency and pay top whack - your choice.

Agree0 Disagree0

Isn't the StubHub service for the fans to sell their tickets? I thought it was like say I had tickets for a home match but couldn't go, then I could sell it on StubHub for a little profit (or if I don't care about profit, sell it for the same purchased value), or is it not like that?

Keith EFC.

Agree0 Disagree0

Keith EFC is spot on. StubHub is a service for season ticket holders who (say for example couldn't make a particular home game) can sell there ticket to StubHub who can then sell it on to fans looking to go to a game, but can't get hold of a ticket or just simply want to sit in a particular stand or seat.
