Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

I think we may be looking at a change of formation, 5 at the back baines and coleman pushing forward with jags distan heitinga/Heinz, midfield of arteta felli rodders/heitinga and cahil playing off a main striker hopefully not Saha, I can't see where heinz would fit in unless we play this way, cos I also think we won't b getting anyone new just to sit on the bench {Ed025's Note - it would be nice to watch....with sturridge up front

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Sturridge would be great, he would fit in with our style of play and get loads of goals for us. {Ed025's Note - he would be top of my wish list.....but we,ll have to see..

think the main thing is dont get desperate over signings, we only want players that will improve us so basically a forward is needed and a winger .id like nzogbia, would look at bellemy myself for upfront as long as a fee would not be involved , there is not much wrong with the team so why look at bringing players in who would not improve us, better quality is a must
school of science

Believable5 Unbelievable0

N'Zogbia and bellamy would be great, it would boost our attack and if we could get a run of games out of saha i think we would do well next season {Ed025's Note - either...or both would be good additions.

David Moyes is in talks with Gabriel Heinze over a one year contract

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Would be a good addition, even if I think the defense is already ok

Agree3 Disagree2

HOPEFULLY ITS A BACKUP

Agree4 Disagree0

A quality experienced player, would improve our squad {Ed024's Note - Agreed but can we pay his wages?

Agree4 Disagree0

It depends if we can offload yaks and yobos wages and whoever else we sell, this should release a transfer and wage budget to bring in a couple of players {Ed024's Note - Just heard that this Heinze deal is a real possibility!

Agree4 Disagree0

Never in a million years would a player like him sit on the bench as cover. If he came to Everton it'd be with starting position in mind, and I'd guess it'd mean someone is leaving to accomodate him. {Ed025's Note - he is a quality player...who would be a good addition to the squad,..if he was in the first eleven,it would be on merit, david moyes knows what hes doing

Agree2 Disagree0

Hope we only sign hi if baines goes, i would not pay the wages otherwise

Agree3 Disagree0

I think it's pretty obvious we need to sell to buy and if it meant sacrificing Heitinga to sign Nzogbia using Heinze as cover at centre half as well as LB i think it would be a pretty smart move myself

How much would we get for Saha do you think ED?
If we sold him along with Yobo and Yakubu + the money we have received for Vaughan and Pienaar we could have enough to secure N'Zogbia and Long
If we stretched it we could bring in another player

Also, as far as i know(correct me if i'm wrong), Saha is one of the clubs highest earners so we could offer N'Zogbia more in wages to persuade him to join us {Ed025's Note - i cant see us getting anything for louis..i expect nzogbia will cost around £12m so there will be a shortfall.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

It wasn't long ago that Galatasary were rumoured to have offered £8M for Saha. Admittedly he was going through a spell of keeping fit at the time On his day, he remains a quality striker.

Agree2 Disagree0

It was 8 million package wages n fee

Agree1 Disagree0

Ah, didn't realise that. Even so, a damn good offer at the time. Be lucky to get 8p for him now.

we shouldn't sell rodwell, fellani, baines, cahill or jagielka
we should be building a team around these players {Ed025's Note - in an ideal world mate...id agree with you.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

03 Jul 2011 16:22:24
i know this will never happen but would you like to see steven gerrard at everton
and i know this will never happen

Believable1 Unbelievable18

Are you on drugs?

we should look at Sebastian Coates (age 20) of Nacional
he is a central defender and could be a very good signing. he is valued at around £4 million. i've watched a few videos of him and he looks like a very safe defender
if you want to look at a scout report go to sky sports transfer centre and click on scout {Ed025's Note - i have heared about this lad,and he does look good...but i think we all agree...a centre forward, is our main priority.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Me again (i posted the banter i'm replying to)
i agree we should get a centre foward and that it is our main priority but i also think we could do with cover at the back, we have jagielka, distin, duffy, heitinga, phil neville, yobo (tell me if i've missed anyone)
yobo is being sold, heitinga could be sold, phil neville could be playing CDM or right back
that would leave us with only duffy to cover for injurys {Ed025's Note - dont forget hibbo...but i see your piont.

Agree1 Disagree0

And Coleman...

Agree1 Disagree0

And Baines... {Ed025's Note - so it looks like were ok for defenders

Agree1 Disagree0

I was talking about central defenders

Agree1 Disagree1

I don't understand. You made a list of SIX central defenders, why would you buy another one then? It'd be surplus I think...

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and there is also Rodwell who can play CB... {Ed025's Note - good shout

Agree0 Disagree0

What i meant was that if we sell yobo and heitinga we would have only three central defenders left(Jagielka, Distin & Duffy)
Baines is playing left-back
Hibbert, Neville or Coleman will be playing right-back
Coleman could be played right-midfield
that gives us cover at right back(Hibbert & Neville) only 1 to cover at centre back (Duffy) and no cover at left back(only Baines)
it would do us no harm to bring in a new centre back to cover for injurys
(not sure if i explained that well) {Ed025's Note - i know what you meant...but nev & hibbo can both play centre back

John Carew, Nigel Reo-Coker, James McFadden, Benjani Mwaruwari, Patrick Vieira, Owen Hargreaves, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Bolo Zenden, Jonathan Woodgate, Matthew Upson - all released on a free and most still available

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Maybe hargreaves on a pay as you play deal. If we could get him fit he could be a decent player for us. Gudjohnsen on a season deal might be worth a shot as well. Wouldn't want any of the others on the list {Ed025's Note - i agree with the gudjohnsen shout....but hargreaves is a big gamble

Agree0 Disagree4

If Hargreaves comes on a pay as you play deal, the risk is minimal.

Agree3 Disagree0

I saw Gudjohnsen play at Spurs a while back. Looked very overweight and his first touch was woeful. I wouldn't want any of the others bar McFadden as a squad player. Carew is like an old carthorse, Vieria's legs have gone, Woodgate is class but is more injury prone than Louis. Zenden is a red. Benjani has been offered a new contract by Blackburn. Reo-Coker is rubbish and Upson's wages would be too much I suspect. {Ed025's Note - its a good job your not their P.R.man

Agree7 Disagree0

Tbh, id take: carew (proven powerhouse), reo coker(holds the midfield), benjani(squad player), gudjohnsen(not bad in the air), maybe hargreaves (PAYP), and upson(good backup CB)... also someone who isnt on the list, vincente (PAYP)

Agree2 Disagree3

We've already been linked with Vincente but as he's out of contract, his wages are out of our reach

Agree0 Disagree3

While I'm as anxious as the next blue to get the first signing made, it's just as quiet elsewhere with the exception of Man Utd & Sunderland. It could be worse... we could be Brum supporters, having watched our rubbish team get relegated on the last day (always funny), all our best players getting sold and our crooked owner getting banged up for money laundering... now there's a thought

Believable3 Unbelievable1

We still have plenty of time to sign players before the friendlies, moyes is concentrating on getting rid of yak and yobo before signing anyone

Agree4 Disagree1

It will take one of the big money clubs to start everything off, once that happens the same money starts getting spead around as teams without the big investors react to an influx of cash they weren't expecting. Now that pre-season training is around the corner I expect things to start moving quicker. Moyes said he wanted to do business early so maybe one or two frees or low fees to start us off. Obviously There is the peinaar and vaughan money plus whatever the board have made available so there may yet be a surprise bigger purchase. I think we need a presence up front for Beckford/Saha to feed off. There was a suggestion we were looking at Huntelaar again on the rumours page a week or so ago quoting Sky Sports News as reporting it but I couldn't find anything on their transfer centre. Opinions please Ed and was there any strength to that link? {Ed024's Note - I can only find the original story from Jan 2010, He didn't wanna come then and would want euro football plus wages outwith our range to come now, unless Moysey works some magic!

Agree1 Disagree1

I THINK HUNTELAAR WOULD BE AMAZING??? but it wont happen :(

I think we will get
Long, swp, Bellamy and a new back up keeper

Believable2 Unbelievable7

That would be good enough for us to improve our squad {Ed025's Note - for me...just a decent goal scorer.

Agree5 Disagree2

Dont want long {Ed025's Note - there is a lot worse, out there!

Agree3 Disagree3

SWP is a signing i would be happy about, because moyes was on about moving Coleman back to right back and SWP has enough experience to help Coleman out while he is getting used to being a right back in the PL {Ed025's Note - not a bad shout!

Agree5 Disagree1

SWP is a good player, i just think n'zogbia is better if we could get him

Agree7 Disagree0

Long is a very good player and he would score
SWP would be a good signing too but i'm not sure about Bellamy
he is a very good player but he has a bad temperment and his wages would be very big since he is a Man City player
