Epic Bad decisions in History.
1. Let's declare war on the USA (Adolf Hitler 1941)
2. Let's tell EFC To do one (Dan Goslings agent 2012).
Newcastle United midfielder Dan Gosling is in talks with Blackpool to make his loan switch permanent, reports The Mirror.

{Ed025's Note - love it mushy..

Justice and retribution take many guises grasshopper.

I did smile when I read the report.

I know what you're saying but he wouldn't have been good enough for us either. Perhaps he realized that and took the biggest pay check he could. If that's the case then it worked out well for us both. Terrible footballer but I wouldn't mind being a penny behind him.

Jagielka to newcastle must be the worst rumour I have heared of in a while!
Meanwhile I think we should really go for batshuayi as he really is one for the future, and I expect us to sign maybe another spanish youngster on loan, someone like tello or morata

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mate latest sky odds have got jags at 9/1 to end up there! Also have Barkley to go to liverpool at 33/1 and Baines 25/1!

Think Barkley and Baines to liverpool are the worst I've heard up to now!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets just sell our whole squad! 1 Billion pounds please! lol
get a grip rumour mongers!

I hate to say it, but money talks. If the daft Americans want to continue to throw money at the Red side, then I am sure they will buy their way back into the Champions League. Because we have been more successful than them the last 2 seasons, we forget that they have players out on loan that cost probably as much as our squad in total. Footballers are people doing jobs. If someone offers to double their wages, then that is what happens. (in 99.9% of the cases). Matt Le Tissier is the last player to remain loyal on lower wagers that I know. Rooney even went to Utd after declaring his undying love to Everton. If another club offers better wages (by big amounts) we have to match this offer or better it.
Simples.

degsy, as much as it pains me to say it, Stevie me la has been very loyal to LFC over the years, albiet on a very good wage, but he has also had offers from the continent which he rejected. craighuytonblue

I have always backed David moyes when he was our manager and gave him a standing ovation last game if season, he WAS a man of honour, integrity and morals. But the man has changed since he been at Manchester United he is being moulded into Manchester United way instead of David moyes moulding the club his way and I am enjoying every time they struggle. I have been reading Howard Kendall's autobiography and he speaks of the dressing room spirit that was special at everton. I think DM needs to be given the credit for recreating that closeness in the team with the likes if Cahill jags Neville have been the catalyst of this team spirit which has grown but I have been impressed so much with Roberto taking us to the next level. Everything is positive.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

While at everton he never had much time in the spotlight and now with the mancs there on tele at every oppprtunity, when the pressures on you tend to say things you shouldn't and he can't get away with it with them

Frederik Sörensen, Danish centre back aged 21 valved at £4.0 million is a possible target for Everton from Bologna Fc 1909 in this transfer window.

He his also co-owned by Juventus

what do you think about this possible target.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Was a very highly rated teenager when he was playing for Juve, but has practically vanised since he went to Bologna. You'd imagine that Juve would take him back or buy out Bologna's ownership if he was showing signs he could cut It at a good level.

If heitinga and jelavic do go we need to replace at least 4 as rm said we need to replace Kone & Gibson. I would like to see Rodwell back at goodison I think he would flourish under Roberto and can play cb or cm. I think we need the 4 players if we are going to push for champs league. I have faith in whoever rm brings in. And would not be surprised if we make Barry permanent in January. And if so would thus allow lescott to come on loan?

he is always injured, has been at fault for a city goal nearly every time he has been on the pitch and is a useless and headless chicken, people said jelavic, heitinga and osman would all greatly improve and flourish under rm, haven't seen that, we got 12m for him somehow and don't want him back

{Ed025's Note - im with you mike..that ship has definitely sailed..

Agree with Mike.

12 million, not sure who managed to sort that but well done. Never saw him change a game except when he got sent off against Liverpool. Unfortunately the change went the wrong way for us. Not to be too harsh on the lad, it wasn't a red card.

I suppose it's all about opinions really if everyone liked the same players it would be dull certain managers believe in certain players and I suppose us supporters are no different.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodwell would be a cracking player if he stayed fit but I think he's heading same way as James Vaughan

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't mind it, to be honest, as long as its for a fraction of the price we got for him (which was a miracle). He certainly has a long way to go to cut it at a top club, but he has a very well rounded game, without any glaring weaknesses, and could really flourish under the right leadership. I remember hearing that his preference was actually centre back, not centre mid, so perhaps he could actually fit our system as a [comparatively] very technically able centre back, just needs to get better at defending, first!

Agree0 Disagree0

He's out injured with another hamstring injury so I doubt we'd go there this month plus I don't think he'd be any more than a squad player under Roberto.

If we were to return for Rodwell, I would like rm to bread him as our new comfortable passing centre back to replace distain when he eventually retires. Rodwell certainly has the ability to play a simple pass as he has shown on previous performances for both us and city, he just isn't creative enough to play as the box to box midfielder moyes tried to bread him into. Stick him in our reserves for a few months with alcaraz / stones playing alongside him and I think he'd be ready for the step up with stones in a year or 2 time.

The rumours about Tello here in Barcelona is that he wants to go out on loan somewhere, but wants to stay in Spain. Valencia FC are leading to sign him for the season. So that's good news if the ones across the park where about to get him, and bad news if we had any possibility to get him. He's a great player.
PD: I'd like to see some youngsters from La Masia coming to Everton now that we start to play good football, I'm sure we could do great business by signing one or two. What do you think Ed?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i think barcelona like RM.s style OFM, and hopefully we can be of benefit to each other in the future..

They like his style, but they weren't impressed with how long Deulofeu took to get a chance. I imagine this has hindered the possibility of us getting more of their players.

Interesting news in the transfer centre, Chelsea have apparantley had a bid for higuain rejected! IF true and they are looking to buy a striker! Where would that leave lukaku! If Chelsea buy a big name striker and they keep Torres, ba and eto then could we be in with a chance of making his loan move permanent? Mmmm who knows! All I know is I will be keeping one eye on Chelsea's business this window!
Any news on signings ed? Thankyou happy new year!

Just been visiting the West Ham rumours/banter site to read their views on Heitinga, but my eye was caught by a post on another subject.
It looks like Leyton Orient's wish to play at the Olympic Stadium will be granted, as they'll be playing away to West Ham in the lower divisions after this season. Don't you just love the fatalistic humour of so many clubs' posters?
