Being 17 and living in the south east, I rarely can make it to more than 2-3 home games a season (visiting family usually) but was at the arsenal game when deulofeu's goal went in. and that's when I realised this boy is something special. but anyway, just wondering what peoples opinion are on fans such as myself. as i'm going to the spurs match this sunday then taking my 10 year old brother to chelsea away later this month.

{Ed025's Note - blues fans dont always live on merseyside KB, we are a diverse bunch, if your from wallasy or woolagong it makes no difference, once the club has touched you thats it...i welcome your support, as well as all our family in foreign climes...after all..most liverpool fans speak with a norwegian twang and it does,nt bother them!.. :)

From Devon myself, only 1 match a season :(

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - that one voice, that one match..can make all the difference clarkey mate..

Yeah KB, i'm in coventry at the moment, but I was raised in Qatar. Been to Goodison once in my whole life. but still a massive blue. Aren't we just a famliy anyways? :p

Agree0 Disagree0

From London, my dad is from Liverpool, have lived in Australia, now live in Stockholm Sweden. Go to games when I can, never go a season without seeing us at least once no matter where I have lived. Its hard in Sweden though because you get all of the games live on tv even the saturday 3 o'clock games. But I have two little boys 3 and new born so I still go just to make sure that the little ones get infected as well. Sometimes like last tuesday I see it as a cruel and unusual punishment to give a child however as the Ed says, once it touches you it is with you for life

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton is all about the heart, not geography. As they say, once you've been touched.

Agree0 Disagree0

Live near london now supported since the FA cup final 68 which we lost, loved Alan Ball as a player love going to Goodison my sons a blue to when Everton touches you, its forever!

Agree0 Disagree0

If support base was limited to just the city of the club then football would be a very boring game for the vast majority of people.

Haven't posted in a while cause everything I wanted to post has already been covered lol. Anyway just a quick one, when Deulofeu is back, would you start him over McGeady or Pienaar, or would you prefer if he was utilised as an impact sub with 30 mins to go? Personally, I would like to see him starting, I think he's an absolute gem, plus I don't know whether anyone else has realised this but Pienaar looks like he's lost a yard of pace. Or perhaps drop both McGeady and Pienaar to the bench and put Mirallas on the left and Gerri on the right, with Barkley playing through the middle supporting Naismith?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i would play him before mcgeady all day bitter..

03 Feb 2014 22:04:16
mirallas and doofy loofy before pienaar and mcgeady for me, can't wait to see doofy back in action

Mike-Ox Long

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a tough one, I prefer Deulofeu and Mirallas over Pienaar and Mcgeady but we seem to play much better with Pienaar in the team

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd play Deulofeu before McGready but only as a sub for Pienaar who I think still makes a valuable contribution to our play. I would mix Deulofeu's role. I get the impression he turns it on against the more successful sides but is not as motivated when it comes to weaker teams. He is probably a big match player. I would start him in the big games and being him on as an impact sub against weaker sides so he can take on tired defenders if we need a goal.

Just looked at the posts below and the majority are saying the same thing, "Why all the gloom and despondency?" Glad to see people are putting the RS game behind them. Well, it appears we are all getting over it now as fast as our players are recovering from injuries. let's hope most will be back fit and fighting ready for the run in. We are hanging in there by the finger tips and no one can fault any of the players for lack of effort. With a big push, a little luck and fair referees, you never know what might happen.

Quick post on Naisy. I believe he was brought in to replace Cahill and now he is getting a few games up top/behind striker he is starting to show what he can do. I think he will probably stay here for a long time and I can see him becoming a real fans favourite for years to come.

And also it does my head in for weeks/months the site was filled with positivity and then boom we loose to the red sh**e and it was flooded with negative comments eg certain players aren't good enough, roberto is a poo tactition ect. C'mon we can't win every week otherwise we would be winning the league and that is highly unrealistic. And it just shows how far we have come this season that we where disappointed with a draw at the Emirates. And I can't belive some of the comments about stones he is 19 ffs most of are u21 players are older and haven't been anywhere near the first team yet.

So c'mon you blues get behind the team through the bad and good. We where content with dithering Dave for 11 years with 0 trophies ect so tbh if it takes us 4 years to qualify for the champs league and win a trophy then so be it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree 1000% LewBlue. I said similar just after we lost to them so and so's. All the pro RM banter all year, then 1 game later and everyone is jumping off cliffs and tying themselves to railway lines. Crazy. We have still only lost 3 league games. No other club in the Premiership has lost fewer. fact.
Yes, Stones makes mistakes.Colin Todd did at his age. And Bobby Moore. If he turns out half as good as either of those two we will be blessed with a remarkable footballer. Right Back is not his position. it is no coincidence that his last two (poor) games have come while he covers for Coleman. Give the kid praise for having a go.

4 years?
Nil satis nisi optimum - have a little think about what that means
If the RS can go on about being title contenders why can't we? Yes at this stage it might be a little unrealistic but what ever they challenge for we can match.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's just the heat of the moment can't blame people for being upset after a 4-0 loss to the rs

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i realise that mate..but some posts did go over the top mate..

I am fully aware what NSNO means and the thing is them lot over the park have spent countless amounts of money compared to us. And that in its self gives them a false sense of entitlement . I m not arsed what they say anyway I'm only interested in the blues and I do think winning the title is unrealistic, are squad isn't as good as any of the top 6 teams but are team spirit makes up for it and I feel over the next 4 years or so we will develop into a champions league club. But the league? Not just yet haha

I have been in disbelief with what some posters have put. I know it is a banter page and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if I didn't know anything about Everton or the premier league I would think Everton are not doing so great with some posts. For example, some posters feel that a big sqaud clear out is needed. Come on, get real. We cannot have top quality like baines running through the entire sqaud.(I'm not saying that we have players which we don't need eg Vellios) Plus we are in an absoultuely fantastic position in the league. I just feel that some fans are being deluded. Enjoy the season, and don't be too dissapointed if we miss out on european football as it is about steadily building and it looks like we are going in a fantastic direction and bad days will happen. If we get CL this season, to me it will be a bonus as I am glad to be up their challenging the 'bigger' clubs for their desired spot with real ambition. Also, I believe that the Villa game just gone will prove to be a very important one.

I think this weekend is a good example of how this race is over 38 games, and the points you pick up are less important than the teams you pick them up against (within reason).

We were down in the dumps on Wednesday morning after the derby, and looked like dropping more points against Villa. but by the end of yesterdays games we have closed the gap that the RS opened up, jumped back above Spurs and given ourselves a good break on the Mancs. I realise that any game against the teams you are competing with is worth "double points", but individual results will be irrelevant if you can keep picking up points over larger blocks of time.

What makes me confident is that we have been the most consistent of us, L'Pool, Spurs and Man U. The others have had periods of climbing the table and sliding down. So if this is our tough period (which every team has), we are well positioned.

Mirallas getting more confident and being used more centrally, Coleman back from injury, players like Barkley, Jags, Distin and Del Boy working back to full fitness in key positions. We still have some risk areas in depth (LB & CM) that players need to stay fit, and some questionable areas such as up front, but with some luck and good management, we should remain confident, regardless of the off bad result (which are inevitable) with 14 odd games still to play.

Stay with the boys and we will finish strong!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We have/are drawn too many games

Agree0 Disagree0

Great post Bra bra let's have faith. After the weekend certain results have fallen our way. Let's be confident into going into next week's match at Tottenham. Players are coming back from injury and we are capable of securing 3 points although we are going to have to be careful. A 1-0 result will be good enough, without Romelou. Kevin Miralles is currently on form and I fancy him to score.

Hi ed just a quick one do u know any reasons why kenwright won't sell the club as we hear people have looked at the club then ran away can u give any reason why this is ty

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - because its not a viable business option gav. apparently bill wants £150m for the club. add to that a new ground. and you are looking at £300m to buy a club that runs at a loss!..

And there you have your answer. Eds got it spot on

the club is now running on a profit, not a loss

Agree0 Disagree0

The clubs not runnin on a profit, were you getting thst from

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he is sadly misinformed mike..

The poster was right we turned a profit of about 1m this year (partly thanks to the felliani money) don't think there's many people with a 300 year business plan though

Agree0 Disagree0

Having to sell players to make a 1m isn't operating on a profit

Agree0 Disagree0

Having to sell players to make a 1m isn't operating on a profit

Agree0 Disagree0

The Fellaini money wasn't in the recent financial figures. It was up to and including 31/5/13. Fellaini wasn't sold until September. This recent figures also don't account for the new tv deal.

Hello can someone please tell me if there is any buses that are rather cheap to go to away Everton games as the tickets are abit cheeper for away games and I would love the experience!
From anglesey, wales, valley thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sorry bro.

Agree0 Disagree0

All the buses seem to be parked in front of the goals from the look of the last few games!

Agree0 Disagree0

You need to look at maybe a fan club from your area mate, only other option is bus it to the Wirral and get one there but when you get back you'll have another hike to Anglsea. Either train or 3 other local blues in a car sharing the juice would be your best bet though. If it's any use I hitched to Villa Park many a moon ago because alls I had enough for was my match ticket, I also bunked the train to Picadilly to see us play Man City once for the same reason, when I landed I saw a double decker with "ground" on the front, bunked on that and it was the official man city fan club bus. I was thrown off 5 minutes into the journey so I wouldn't recommend doing that to be honest. Moral of the story is if you're that desperate to watch Everton you will get there by whatever means possible

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Ed forgot to log in there mine was the bunking the bus post

There are people who travel from Anglesey. I think there is a regional club there too. Get in touch with the club and ask them.
