Anyone else just slightly dreading the thought of Salah running at Martina?

I'd be frightened of Peter Kay running at him.

I think big Sam will change it around a bit. i wouldn't have expected him to change the winning team from Wednesday, if We would have lost after changing it he would have been slated.
He has to go for 3 or 5 at the back and try and get a goal from a set piece or counter attack. Oumar has scored some goals against the reds so will be playing without fear as usual. Hopefully Sam taps into that.
Also who better to plan a win against them than little Sam.

Best moment yesterday. We'd just gone 2 up and JJK slotted the ball right into the middle of the main stand 2nd. Big Sam applauded him like he'd scored a worldy. Proper defending.

Good post mate, forget the doom merchants we have needed defending like that row z for ages.

good week, and very welcome but don't get too worked up, Allerdice's previous rescue missions, Bolton, Blackburn, Sunderland, West Ham, Palace all relegated or in deep rubbish the players he buys do not sustain a Premier league standard they will be short term and when the new guy comes in he / she won't be able to make them work, history repeats itself look at his history this is all seat of the pants.

{Ed025's Note - to be fair S&M he has never been in a position like this where he has had decent money at his disposal, time will tell of course but lets not judge him on his past dealings as this is a totally different kettle of fish mate..

03 Dec 2017 16:05:29
Spot on Ed025 and I know your not a fan, why can’t posters on here give this man a chance? He was deemed good enough to manage England, and he bought some top players at Bolton, this is a lifetime chance for him at a big club, the last two fancied managers we have appointed have been one season wonders and flawed in their management styles.
Give the man a chance guys at least start to judge at the end of the season.

Agree3 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - the think is wakka that the guys who make the decisions have appointed sam so theres nothing we can do about it, i was an advocate of hiring both martinez and koeman so what do i know? as you say lets just get behind the club and do what we do best..support the team..

03 Dec 2017 19:27:29
Spot on wakka good post mate, we could end up winning a cup or whatever and we would still get some posters on here griping about this or that, good old saying mate you can't please all of the people all of the time, Sad Really.

03 Dec 2017 18:44:27
I agree with you Ed. He's here now and we just need to get on with it.

I don't like the guy or his brand of football but I love our club and as long as we win I'll be happy.

{Ed025's Note - me too john..

03 Dec 2017 19:11:09
I felt the same ed wasn’t a Sam Fan mainly due to the bad press over dodgy deals to be honest as I was worried we have enough bad media of late so now I have decided to voice the occasional opinion and then just get on with supporting the boys!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats all we can do ST, managers and players will come and go but its our club and we cant change that mate..

03 Dec 2017 22:14:18
Ed 025. Will Allardyce actually be allowed to pick the players, or will Walsh buy them in accordance to the future after SA? It is true what S&M says. He does leave clubs with players who would not make it in the top 6. Having said that, 6 points on the board, and if he gets 3 more at the weekend even I might consider him god and take to him :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its a joint effort on who gets bought nick, people are always looking for conspiracy theories and especially with big sams past he is an easy target, as long as he improves us i will be content but im not looking forward to the liverpool game to be honest mate, i think they have too much for us..

03 Dec 2017 14:10:28
ed your opinion on ross barkley i just find it a bit strange that sam thinks a deal might have been done maybe he has been told that, me personally i would have loved a fit barkley in are starting 11 but i think if he has agreed with another club then i totally want him out, your thoughts.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i think he seen no future for himself in a koeman led everton side djr. now that sam is at the helm things could well change but its still a bit up in the air at the moment, he had made his mind up to leave but i would be guessing if he has had a change of heart mate..

03 Dec 2017 15:15:47
Absolute joke of a man that paul merson
He was screaming for everton to appoint sam allardyce and now he goes on record saying he thinks we panicked and might be regretting appointing him so soon
Said it before and ill say it again these pundits are an absolute bunch of idiots who are paid shrills.

Merson is hilarious because he literally knows nothing about football and just mumbles his way through everything

He said Silva was a bad manager lest we forget.

I am thrilled we have taken 6 points out of 6 after many weeks gaining nil.
A week ago after the Southampton game we looked doomed .
What I would like is for a reputable business manager who looks at crisis management to analyze Everton as to why given we have so many experienced managers of repute at the club that we constantly shoot ourselves in the foot.
Look at how a organization that 6 months ago appeared to have the world at its feet turned it all on their own into a major crisis .
Obviously the object is to find the CAUSE first and foremost and then more importantly the means of FURTHER PREVENTION .
It's only by learning from your mistakes that you improve
This can be seen in basic life as we grow up as children, learning not to make the same mistake twice .
I refer as a example the selling of our primary asset without any replacement prior to the sale.
We shout ourselves in the foot good style but did we learn our lesson, NO we went and then sacked the manager, but hey shouldn't we have someone lined up before we sack him .
We also bought three or four players who performed the same function which is like a factory buying three of the same parts when at the most they needed one and possibly a back up but then left other critical areas sparse
Of course not this is Everton we like to do things the hard way .
I don't want to take the shine off our 6 points but I just cannot believe the way these billionaires have acted .
I have had sleepless nights worrying about my beloved club and don't want to go through that again .
Prevention is better than cure
Anyone got any views on what the overall cause was
Did the money for example go to our heads?

Im so fed up of your negativity. Yourself and a handful of others constantly gripe about all thing Everton. Even after a win all we hear is that is a new manager bounce and soon we'll be back into the relegation fight.
Show some support for the team for once and see where this season yet goes.

Well said Worcester, lose one game and the doom merchants are on it like a dog on a bone, win two games and it’s we played no one wait until the next match, I look at one game at a time, if we win that’s great, enjoy the moment instead of worrying about the game next until we play it. If we won a cup some would probs moan about the kit we wore, big thumbs up from me Worcester.

At least with Big Sam he will have a game plan for the big teams and although it was Huddersfield we looked organised yesterday.

As said before going ticky tacky, play out from the back, ooh look how well I can pass the ball (sideways) players, tactics and style is okay when you can change at the flick of a finger. For too long we as a Club have either not trusted our own brilliant players such as Barklay (and yes he is with confidence instilled a wonderful player) or spent tons of money (last summer) on quite frankly mediocre players. All this has been down to the Manager and his backroom staff. Big Sam brings in a backroom staff and does with what he has until he can bring in those that will bring stability and improve the positions we already have in the Squad. He did this at Bolton and didn't have half the resources now at his disposal. To see the organisation (one assistant sat high up in the stands) , one assistant doing Sams running and screaming Sammy Lee was quite absorbing, entertaining and to be honest quite impressive after the dross we have been served recently. Liverpool make no bones about it are a bloomin good side and their pace up front is frightening, I do not expect us to win but I do quite confidently expect Sam and his staff to formulate a plan to drastically cut down Liverpools chances and hinder their attack. Thoroughly enjoyed yesterday particularly the second half, we have a long way to go, but looking forward to the journey at last.

Good post DFS. I still think out summer purchases will come good under the right manager and hopefully Allardyce is that man. Klassen, Sandro and Vlasic will need a season just to acclimatise and adapt. If they stick around they'll most likely do well.

Big Sam was not my choice but I don't dislike the guy he's done a good job pretty much where ever he has been, one thing people can't argue with is that he gets the best out of his players and that is what a manager is for right, but when fans boo him I just don't understand we have had a hard time lately and last 2 matches we scored 6 conceded 0 so let's have some positives going into Christmas period, we can still finish 7th best of the rest which would not of been a disaster if things went right from the start.

I wonder if people who had already written off Sig as a signing/ player, be that from this fanbase or others may start to realise what they once thought was utter bollocks.

The lad didn't have a pre-season and didn't start his season till, gone a month after everyone else.

He was played out of position in a struggling side with no purpose or direction.

Hes now being utilised like he should be and his form has now improved. 2 goals and 2 assists in 4 games.

Hes a great player and now we are going to see the best out of him under Sam. That 45 mill will look a steal.

I was saying we should expect good things from him with that price he s one of or better players and we need him in the big games big players perform in big games he has shown some good signs if we have any chance we need him to be at he s best in the games that we are underdogs.
