I see that defoe is injured for spurs. all we need now is bale to get injured tomorrow.

I think people are trying to get across the point that Spurs have many players that can hurt us and with this post you are insinuating that without Defoe and Bale they are nothing which is simply not true, which is why somebody has clicked disagree. The fact remains we will have to play very well on Sunday or we will not get anything from the game and at this stage of the season we really need the points.

Agree0 Disagree0

Defoe being injured is a major plus for
Everton as he has a good record against us as for bale he has never had
A good game against us due to the
Physical approach we show him adebyor is out of form and the rest of
There team is no better than ours we must be positive an really go for it from
The of if we get at them and don't let them settle we wil get opportunitys on the break and hopefully punish them
Coyb

Agree0 Disagree0

Defoe has been garbage for them this season. Bale is the main man, stop him and we win. Against Fulham, Bale had an off day and they struggled to create anything.

This would be CL quality if we done this in the summer:
OUT -
Fellaini £25m
Mucha Free
Neville Free
Hitzlsperger Free

IN -
Honda £15m
Negredo £13m
New GK

------------Howard---------
--Coleman-Jags-Distin-Baines---
Mirallas-Gibson-Honda-Pienaar
--------Jelavic-Negredo---------

Subs -
New GK
Heitinga
Naismith
Oviedo
Stones
Barkley
Osman

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Can see it happening, new GK = Giefer, probably.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree, very realistic and achievable team that is well within our reach without being too disruptive. Unlike some posters who would like to change half the side ( at least ).

Shropshire Blue.

Agree0 Disagree0

Honda won't be £15m he has until December or January left on his contract £4-6m at most.

Id like to see fer in the middle along side gibson, honda is more of a playmaker/ball player
howard
coleman, jags, distin, baines
gibson, fer
mirrallas, honda, pienaar
negredo

fer 8mil, honda 5mil (only a few months left on contract)
negredo 13 mil. We could make this happen if felli left.

Would love to see that starting XI for Everton next season. We do need a big, physical midfielder like Fer to help Gibson. We need another creative spark and Honda fits the bill perfectly. And striker, Negredo fits the bill, or maybe Bony from Vitesse, and big, strong physical lad to lead the line.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good players coming in but couldn't lose 4 players an get 3 in because our squad size is why we havnt picked up more points this season

Let me get one thing straight, if Moyes is scouting players then surely he's hinting at signing a new contract? Anyone agree? Ed? {Ed025's Note - im with you mike..what would be the point if he was going?..

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Unless he's scouting them for his next club? I'd agree with you but their's nothing to say he was there for everton just he's our manager now.

i was annoyed with the first disagree 2 my post but I understood that the fake rhino would do it. But 2! there is no reason 2 get the wife involved haha. (Rhino 12 inch)

Believable1 Unbelievable13

Personally mate I don't think anyone looks into the like/dislike buttons at all. Don't let it bother you, just trolls no doubt as anyone can click those buttons at their own will.

It was the first time i've posted for awhile i'll admit so I thought I would finally put a proper sign off name on but to my utter disbelief some other pretender had already nicked my rhino name! I refuse 2 be called anything else so I will still have to sign off with rhino (the real 1 not the wannabe 12 incher haha) and balls to him! On a positive note i'm off to the grand national this week and I'd put a bet on us to be first past the post for 4th at the end of the season, you always have the ones that fall at the final fence. Rhino (12 inch).

Any early contenders for player of the season ed mine would be Gibson the best passer of the ball at Everton we just need to keep him fit. victor and Coleman and mirrales not far behind just not enough minutes on the pitch

Believable0 Unbelievable7

Looks like a Bainzinho landslide at the moment mate, Felli comfortably 2nd. Gibson, Mirallas would be much much higher if they hadn't been injured so much

Agree0 Disagree0

Erm, I think a certain Leighton Baines deserves a mention there too. And Marouane Fellaini-top scorer

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd have to go for Fellaini. I know people are starting to turn against him but he has carried us at times this season and is our best player by some distance.

Agree0 Disagree0

For me our best two players for the last 3 seasons have been Baines and Jagielka. Felli has had a great season. I would now say Mirallas is by far and away the best footballer at the club but not played enough to have a great season. Howard is always consistant, Coleman has been a revelation, Osman good in patches. Baines nicks it though for me for sheer consistancy. Dissapointment of the season for me goes to Pienaar, waste of time getting him back in my opinion, think there is better out there for around the same money and they are younger. Hietinga shocking, Jelavic frustrating but Pienaar disappointing.
Svenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Putting Fellaini before Baines has got to be the craziest thing I have read on here, have you watched any football at all?

Agreed, Svenny

I did not agree! But I do agree.

The rumour doing the rounds today is that Chelsea Starlet wants another season-long loan next season, but do for a bigger club than West Brom as he looks to secure a starting place with Belgium for the 2014 Euro's (If they get through).

If he's available, I'd take him in a heartbeat. Anyone else?

Believable7 Unbelievable3

I wanted Lukaku on loan before this season, and I would love to see him at Everton for next season.

Only issue is that I don't see Chelsea loaning him out to any club, he is better than Torres FFS! and they especially won't loan him to a team that could potentially threaten Chelsea next season (which with him, I think we could). Would love to see him be included in any potential Fellaini deal (although, again, I don't see Chelsea giving him up) {Ed002's Note - He will be assessed by teh new manager in the summer and then a decision will be made about a loan. Chelsea would not, and never have, care about loaning a player to a competitor if there was interest and teh deal was right for the player and the club.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I should really proof read things more carefully.

I am of course talking about Lukaku which I should've mentioned above. Apologies!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not to worry Dandan, possibly everyone reading your post got who you were talking about. And like you I would take him in a heartbeat

Can anyone tell me the amount of money we would generate from finishing 4th or 5th in the EPL.
And how much of this would be dependant on getting through the knockpout stages of the CL.
Also does this new TV money increase from the start of the 2013/14 season?

Cheers

DBEFC

Believable1 Unbelievable2

The difference in prize money between the league positions of 4th and 5th would only be about a million. But of course, 4th brings CL and qualifying for that would generate 20mil straight away.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's around £800K (not sure of exact figure) per finishing position. So 4th or 5th would be respectively worth around £13. 6M and £12. 8M. CL qualification has no bearing on this - UEFA give separate prize money for how well a team does in that. Huge TV money starts next season - that's why so many clubs are panicking and replacing managers for fear of relegation and missing out on that media income.
TommyGunn

Agree0 Disagree0

Finishing 4th means the play-off round - like we had in 2005 - and the big money only comes with the group stages and beyond.

Anyone else loving Harry redknapp's predicament?

If qpr go down he won't be in position to just try to steal moyes targets

I look for their results straight away after ours :)

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Qpr are a great example of overspending on average players go to there website and look at there squad
They have one of the biggest squads in the league all on major money with not one world class player amongst them there chairman has backed a string of
Crap managers buying full teams for the last three with so many players they have never had a settled side I
Believe that at Everton although we would all like investment if you don't
Do it the Chelsea or man city way who
Really have bought world class players
Then there is good chance your going to make a mess of it the way moyes
Has had to do it has actually helped
Everton introducing one or two good
Players at a time has helped us keep
Team spirit and its this spirit that has
Won us many games the only signing
I would make at Qpr is there chairman

Agree0 Disagree0

In reply to the first reply: True, but Julio Cesar is world-class.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is good to see him being found out, but this idea that he - or any other manager or club - steals our targets is plain daft. Every major club is avidly scouting the available talent around the world - it's just about who eventually puts the deal together to make any transfer happen at the end of the day.
TommyGunn

Agree0 Disagree0

Tommy - wrrrr-ong! Harry Rednapp can actually be seen down at the Aigburth landfill tip every week searching about for hours for any small titbits that Davie Moyes may have thrown out - so there!
