Liverpool's owners will demand answers from manager Kenny Dalglish when they carry out a "strategic review" of the club's season.

Dalglish will have to submit a written report, detailing his account of why Liverpool have fallen short in the Premier League.

lol {Ed025's Note - i could write that report for them...

I don't want kenny to get sacked he's doing fine at liverfool! AntEFC {Ed025's Note - i think so too ant...long live the king..

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah he'll bring more bargain buys to liverfool just like Carroll and Henderson. AntEFC {Ed025's Note - dont forget downing and adam..

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh yeah he's done that many forget some of them... AntEFC

Agree0 Disagree0

I just hope they win their next game so that they don't sack him before the semi's! ahahah {Ed024's Note - Long may the king of comedy reign at anfield

If we have any money in the in the summer we should try for moussa dembele of fulham. He has one year left on his contract, hopefully jelavic can solve the lack of goals.but i really think dembele would be a huge signing for us. What do my fellow evertonians think? {Ed025's Note - i think he is quality...its a yes please from me!..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

He isn't an out and out goal scorer, more of a suarez type that will drop deeper and run at player (accept he isn't a pr*ck) he would be top of my list but we could do with a gaol scorer as cover as well, maybe defoe or fletcher ? {Ed024's Note - Defoe please

Agree0 Disagree0

He could maybe play in the CAM role think he would link well with Fellaini because they're both Belgian, I tried getting Dembele on footy manager but Fulham wanted £22m for him so I just go Sessegnon instead ;)

Hi ed posted this in Jan Gibson 1m Henderson 20m ha ha .you told me to wait and see.what do you think now.
Ps great site
Jab {Ed001's Note - I am not sure if this was meant for me or not? I have to say Gibson has stepped up his game, seems to have gained a lot by not being a bit part player but being a main man. Just shows what confidence can do for a player, because at United he looked like a player that would struggle in the Championship!}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Thanks ed imwt coyb {Ed001's Note - it is nice to be proven wrong sometimes, though I do hope he has an off game in the semi!}

Neville should literally never play for us again. Barkley must be despairing on that bench thinking WTF was that

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Is Barkley aright back
Or a holding mf
Jab

Agree0 Disagree0

Barkley isnt on the bench- he is playing for the youth team at the Dallas Cup

Agree0 Disagree0

Neville is a brilliant captain and a good full back mate, bags of experiance he is very important. and barkley, I would like to se more of him but I said that about rodwell and looking at it now I wish we wouldn't of stuck him in so early, he got injuries and lost confidance which isn't what a young lad needs, just look at jack wilshre theu waited abit longer and he looks class (although I don't think he's any better than rodwell really) {Ed024's Note - Nevilles experience and presence is vital, but he is not the player he was

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2012 21:01:16
Gibson - rodwell - Fellani
Having the choice of 2 from them 3 every week are excellent options to have!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Not to mention Heitinga - Distin - Jagielka fighting for the 2 CB spots. Really think this competition for places is only helping the team, keeping players on their toes. {Ed024's Note - We have the makings of a top team and a decent squad

Moyes might've built a decent little side here on the sly. We're not going to be 12/13's version of Spurs, but with the players we've got we could replicate what Newcastle have done this year.

What do you guys think of anichebe?...... He saying he wants a starting place regular in the first team on several sites.just wanted to hear fellow blue opinions..

Westy the blue {Ed025's Note - just my opinion westy...not good enough, hes ok coming off the bech , as an impact sub...but thats it!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Well said ed, i rate him as a sub but when he starts he doesn't perform

Agree0 Disagree0

He's our very own David Fairclough ...I had high hopes for Victor, a few years back... now though I'm a little sceptical , and you know your not being too picky when you consider the lack of interest shown by other PL clubs...
I'm not saying he wouldn't get a first team place somewhere ...however even the strugglers in the relegation zone haven't exactly clammered have they.

Evertonyn

Agree0 Disagree0

Ye thought the same myself.he just aint good enough for our first team...thanks for reply lads.

Westy..

Agree0 Disagree0

It is rather sad that he is our joint top scorer with bainsey this season. {Ed024's Note - True, but jelavic will be top scorer by the end of the season

Agree0 Disagree0

I think vic would benefit from going out on loan start of next season for a few months, give him a propper run of games and see how mny goals he get because he has looked ok this seaosn when he has come off the bench

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep in mind he is still only young.. i think he will come good, more so now he has alot more competition in the squad now so he will have to improve. So dont count him out just yet

EFCphil {Ed025's Note - i wont completely dismiss him yet, and when he puts the shirt on, i hope we all support him..

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2012 19:39:18
£20m net a year would see us competing for the top four. Moyes' ability when it comes to finding great players for small amounts would see to that. Unfortunately it's not going to happen. {Ed025's Note - never say never my friend..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Never say never; what do you know Ed025?

You can not make statements like that and not spill a little! {Ed025's Note - im just saying...you never know what the future holds..

Spot on mate 20m a year for the next 3 or 4 years and we would win the title

03 Apr 2012 19:35:16
Gibbo in the first half especially against WBA, he was spreading the play and making space like I haven't seen everton play in years. He is a very good player with a footballing brain and he will get better. {Ed025's Note - moyes reckons there is a lot more to come from him?...if thats true, we have got the bargain of a lifetime!!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I really think there is more to come. He has only played 10 games for the club, give him more time, as he is only 24, allows him to get to know the Everton players and their games further and improve his fitness as well. I personally think he is going to be a cracking player, exactly what we have missed since Arteta departed, someone who can just pass the ball, unlike Neville. {Ed024's Note - Gibbo is quality

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2012 19:21:45
We at the Pepe Reina Innocent Campaign would just like it on record that the gesture Pepe made with his head towards Perch was in fact a misinterpreted nod of affection. It's a well known greeting in the part of Spain Pepe originates from and has been misread, quite deliberately by the mass media and whipped up by Sir Alex Ferguson as part of his relentless campaign of attrition against Liverpool football club.
There will be a march of support leaving The Arkles pub at 11 00 Saturday; Tee Shirts will be distributed and that bloke from Echo and the Bunnymen will give a speech telling you that Pepe being innocent and missing the Cup Semi final is just like being touched up by a drunken uncle.

I keep looking at our goal difference and I am always amazed how we keep doing it we must score more goals and believe Jelavic is the man we have been missing to get near the 20 goals bracket with a striker that can get you that I believe we would probably have 10 more points than what we have now allow moyes to have a good summer and get targets in early so we can avoid are disastrous start every year an average start would be a start

One day Davey will win a cup like King Kenny.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Come back when you beat the bottom teams . when you have 15pts in home wins come back oh and look at the table son, why arent you in school anyway?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes he will, but he wont spend money like its going out of fashion like queen kenny, rafa, or houllier, soon enough the cheque book will run dry and you will on wish you had a manager like moysie who can build a very solid team on a net spend of 21m in 10 years.

that wish should start on april 14th 2012, 100 years after a sinking with the words liverpool on it died.

Agree0 Disagree0

David moyes as done more than any trophy can give us,he has give us pride and how much have you lot spent on the carling cup ha ha ha over 100 million what a joke you lot are, were are you in the league again ha ha ha i hope kenny stays with you for years and years. Terry blue

Agree0 Disagree0

He may win a trophy but i can't see it been at Everton sorry.

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes once again shows just what hard work has done, yes we would love silverware it will happen and we will be the proudest on merseyside.

Come on who out of our team would you have? Howard,Jags, Dis, Baines, Het, Felli, Gibbo, Jelly, Timmy, cos am sure there is not many i would have out ur team SG apart on his good daysyou see what you see in our team is a hunger and a desire to win instilled by a mangaer and a captain
Steblue {Ed025's Note - well said ste...that is why we are proud to be blue!

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes will be gone after the semi final. Liverpool will beat you even tho they are poor in the league the cup form is second to none..One cup in the cabinet one to come. {Ed025's Note - i see you dont put a name to your post?, like most of the reds...anonymous, spineless trash talk!..i think you need to look at your own club to find a manager who will be out of work shortly, and lets be honest you are bricking it at the thought of us beating you at wembley, and finishing above you in the league..WELL ITS ON!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

ED 025 You don't win a trophy for finishing above Liverpool or beating us in the semi do you? Another bitter blue talking crap. RED RUSS. {Ed025's Note - i never said we did russ!....the only fact i was stating, is that we are a better side than you!, the table does not lie, and as for being bitter..let me inform you that it is YOU who is trolling our pages!!, the thing with your lot mate, is that you are fine giving other teams stick..but when the shoe is on the other foot..you see your arses!, and that is just one of the reasons why other teams have lost all respect for your club and fans..

Agree0 Disagree0

RS are more human league than premier league.

What a day it will be come the end of the season when we show off Thr greatest domestic cup of all time and the RS turn up with a limp looking thing they scrapped with a championship team to beat.

Stop dreaming and realise that you are mid table heading down and we are mid table heading up. To be realistic the semi will be a close game, but what's important is that every neutral will be cheering on Honest Davey, not that bottler you call a manager. Weren't you supposed to be winning the league now that he is back? Go and get some fresh air!

JWalk

Believable3 Unbelievable1

They're happy to be mates whilst we stay no threat to their constant rigged silverwear - it's not a proper league any more - only 2 or 3 teams (at most) can win the league, year in year out - titles these days don't mean as much as the ones before the champions league came along - then it was at least a half decent league where 10 or 15 clubs had a chance - the likes of Derby County, Notts Forest could win the league is they assembled a great team under a good manager - now it's all stitched up - BORING!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I disagree I think the prem league is as good as its ever been it started with a title race between man u and arsenal then Chelsea came along and made it a three horse race and now you have man city so I think the gap is closing now it used to be the big 4 teams but now everyone can beat each other on there day as this season has proved roll on next year as I think the following teams will get better spurs everton Newcastle Sunderland, also arsenal will be involved in title race with couple of additions to squad so that post is complete nonsense

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you call the league boring are you for real that is one thing the league is not how many boring games are there now hardly any I remember a few seasons ago when you would get teams in top 4 cancelling each other out cause they did not want to loose or make a mistake which made for boring game this season everyone is attacking teams look at the arsenal Chelsea match or the man u Chelsea game where Chelsea had 20+ shots on target at old trafford that's unbelievable to get that at old Trafford usually you be lucky to get that if you played it'd 4 or 5 times a season

Agree0 Disagree0

Please explain how it is "stitched"? and no conspiracy bulls**t like the pool lot, it is well and truly boring.

JWalk

Agree0 Disagree0

And far from mates, there is no such thing in football, just respect, which mine has gone up greatly for you since over taking pool in the league.

JWalk

Agree0 Disagree0

It's stitched up because the 'bigger' clubs in mid 90s were instrumental in designing the new champions league format - in which top 4 uk teams at that time made it into the cosy club - and the money was sorted so that those 4 teams from there on in had a massive (almost insurmountable) advantage over the teams that did not get into champs league - so those 4 teams were more or less set in stone after that - they had so much more money - so each year they got better and better players and pulled further and further ahead

apart from chelski and man city billionaire take overs no one else has had a chance of breaking into that 'elite group' - with the exception of Liverpool becoming more n more incompetantly sh*te (hurray) it would still be those same teams as 10 - 15 years ago

arsenal manu chelsea plus one other

so only one of these top 4 teams really has any chance of winning the league - so it's a 2-4 team league in terms of winning the league - not like in the old pre-champs league days when half the top division had a chance of building a decent team and possibly winning the league - so you can't compare Uniteds recent 10(?) league wins, with what went before because a league dominance now stays fixed and those teams are at the top more or less forever

these so called 'bigger teams' have really had their noses put out by Man City muscling their way in - and did Fergie etc not like that!! They disliked it so much that they went and redrafted the rules yet again - so that another billionaire couldn't come along and spoil their lifelong party membership agreement, by investing in another 'smaller' club - so now we have the percent revenue rules etc to stop some team like everton spending big in future

so - it is all 'stitched up' now - so yeah - you've won some titles - but it's only in a '3 team league' so go pat yourself on the back - big deal!

(and united even get top seeded in the champs league qualifiers - unlike teams finishing 3rd or 4th in premiership - so yet again the champs league group stage is rigged so they get easier teams - hence almost guaranteeing knockout stage big money - and on it goes....)

Agree0 Disagree0

You took the words right out of my mouth. One thing that puzzles me is how will Chelski and Man City get round these rules? If they can get round them, then so can we.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately they're only just coming in now - as a result of man city crashing to party - to late to stop them - they've already spent big - but enough to stop anyone like us joining the party

you watch what will happen if we start to look a threat to that 4th place - which we may just do now - our best players will be picked off by the likes of chelsea and tottenham - so that we can't compete again

2 games in 3 days coming up! Moyes has tough choices to make! I would make a few changes for the norwich game! Bring drenthe in (if available) and rest osman mybe rest fellani aswell, but not sure who to play in his place! Give denis a start and rest jelly or cahill! Sunderland will be the tougher game (on paper anyway) so i would have the same team that beat them last time! Hopefully another 2 wins and confidence for the semi will be sky high! Coyb!

Thinking about it last night i came to the conclusion that we have very little chance of getting Peanuts back on a permanent deal. 1) Due to his fine form since returning Spurs would ask for around 6-8million if they even wanted to sell, which unless we get new investment we will not have the funds for. 2) Spurs if they did want to sell would probably not want to sell to us given our ressurgance this season. 3) Peanuts will have CL at Spurs where as we will offer Europa at best.
Now i know he loves the club and he may want to stay but personally i just cant see it. This means in my opinion that Drenthe and Moyes need to sort out their relationship and we need to get him signed up. I
I also started thinking about our recent poor starts and i have decided it is down to our transfer activity on the summer, or lack of. If you look at the way 3 new players have changed our atttitudes as fans since Jan, and the attitudes of the players, surely if we can sign another striker, a right back and a left wing in the summer it will be the boost we need to start the season well.
Anyway starting to s**te myself for Wembley, so desperate to beat the reds**tes but in many ways i would fancy us more to beat Barca than them, we have had a better first team than them for a few years now but always seem to mess up the derby performances, or have them messed up for us by the ref.
COYB
Svenny {Ed025's Note - i understand your concern over peanuts...and i feel that we may lose him, with regards to the semi, we have got the better side, but the cup is a great leveller, but i am still confident that we will prevail because we are desperate for a bit of success..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Svenny, I agree with your point on the slow starts. After what we have seen since January it makes perfect sense.

The peanut thing though I am more optermistic about. Levy was the one who wanted him to come to us and not Hawwy so that tells me that Levy is eager for the deal to go through as he was not getting games but picking up high wages . I can't see this one being anything else than a goer. COYB

Toffee ace

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know if you know this or not but whenever a loan deal is agreed, there is a fee already in place should the loan deal want to be made permanent. that fee is supposedly around the £3m mark so they'd not lose anything on him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pienaar needs to decide if he wants to ride the back of a "currently" performing well team in th CL or hold a very important part for each and every game where he clearly looks his happiest and plays his best football... Everton of course.
He left the first time searching for bigger and better and it didn't really work out, is he silly enough to try again?

J0hn80y

Agree0 Disagree0

Not every loan is done with an option to buy, and i have not heard that we got Peanuts on loan with option to buy. If its 3 million its a bargain but do we have evben 3 million after January. Im also really happy with Jelly man BUT surely if we waited a week after deadline day we could have signed him for nothing. I dont think we gave Rangers anywhere near 4-5 mill, i reckon it was around 1-2 million as they were desperate and we dont have 5 mill to throw around, they just publicised as higher to make thye fans feel good. Just my opnion.
