With the loss of Seamus and Morgan out injured my starting line up for the derby game would be:
Robles
Holgate Williams Jags
Kenny. Baines
Davies. Barry. Gana
Barkley
Lukaku
Depending on how the game pans out we could revert to 4-4-2 with the introduction of either Mirallas or Lookman.

3 at the back seems best option but replace Kenny with Lennon for experience. The rest is fine. picks itself really.

I disagree Geoff. I think that I'd rather have a natural right back in Kenny than the experience of Lennon. Aaron isn't very good defensively and may leave us exposed if he pushes too far up.

If we go 2 up front then we have Mirallas, Lookman, Valencia and Calvert-Lewin to choose from.

Would agree with 3 at the back and also agree with Lennon on the right as wing back with Baines on the left, one other change I would make would be to take Barry out the side as his lack of pace and consistent fouling could see us playing with 10 men yet again. I would therefore have Gana with Davies next to him with Rom, Ross and Calvert-Lewin up top in a 3-5-3 formation. We need players with pace to press there fullbacks to stop them getting forward and also if we are playing with them 2 holders in midfield again we need them to be disciplined and also have the legs to cover and be able to carry the ball out when they intercept to hit them on the counter, Barry lacks these credentials.

Don't think we can afford to lose the extra man in the middle Bluegray. We could play Rom and DCM up front and have a 3 man midfield with Ross drifting forwards and Gana and Davies covering.
