Personally i don`t think there will be any slacking among the squad. Cup places are up for grabs and everyone will be up for it. Confidence is sky high and whilst the baggies will have to be on their toes for the threat of Cahill and Jelavic, there`s a good chance of a couple of goals from the midfield. All in all it should be a good game tomorrow. SO-COYBB !!!!! {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Ed what would you say are chances are of getting pranjic is the summer {Ed025's Note - pretty good i would think...he wants to come, and thats half the battle, the only stumbling block, as always, is dosh..but being 30 the price should not be that high..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

He's a very good player I really hope he does come. AntEFC {Ed025's Note - so do i ant...he is a quality player..

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you know why he likes us so much ed has he always supported us or something. AntEFC {Ed025's Note - he wanted to come to the premier league ant....and had been told of the standing and history of our club, it was all agreed for him to come, and he said he was "devastated" that it fell through..

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you know of any other potential transfer targets for summer ed. AntEFC {Ed025's Note - nothing that would pass as credible ant...a lot will depend on any investment, and prize money secured from our league position, and f a cup exploits..

Agree0 Disagree0

But ed where would he play for us, we already have a brilliant left back and I thought he wanted more games
Blue kaz {Ed025's Note - he would play left mid for me...or even wide left. he is an excellent player, and for me a lot more reliable than drenthe..

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a fine addition to the squad, capable of playing left mid or left back, two positions that we lack a bit of depth in. And if I am not mistaken, he is out of contract at the end of the season, so would be available for free, would be another shred piece of business by Moyes, despite being 30, still has 3/4yrs left and has some big game experience. {Ed025's Note - i agree with all of that mate..

just when i was giving up on Cahill he produced a classic performance against Sunderland -he and Jelavic are forming a really good partnership. He was like a new player.

ed whats the stroy about Pranjic i heard he was going to sign for us but Bayern said no last min? {Ed025's Note - he was packed and ready to come mate, he said it was his dream move!...then bayern pulled the plug....he was gutted..and so was i..

if we get europe we'll need a big squad, ive heard we get 10m to spend ? if so we should get pienaar,drenthe and straq on permanent deals and bring in donovan thats about 8 (donovans last year of contract) and spend 2 on a striker like doyle because i think wolves have bit the dust, thoughts ed? {Ed001's Note - personally I don't think Doyle would be worth moving for, I don't rate him at all, he just works hard but offers nothing else.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I think we should sign another striker in the summer, but not doyle. Who do you think we could go for ed? {Ed025's Note - all the ones i want mate are out of our price range!..i really like sturridge, but rhodes would do me very nicely if the price is right..

Agree0 Disagree0

For the sake of buying Rhodes (as good of a player as he is) he is still lower league and probily won't cut it, I say with vellios, strac, jelly and other young ones like mcaleny and lundstrum, currently out on loan getting some good game time, we have some real tallent and need to let some of it shine

J0hn80y

Agree0 Disagree0

If we are looking at a striker, especially a back up striker, why not Hugo Rodallega? I know he isn't the most prolific striker, but I would imagine for free, would be a very good back up to the Jelly man, and I am a bit interested to see how he goes playing for a team like Everton, instead of Wigan, think he would get a bit more chances in front of goal. {Ed025's Note - he is on a free as well..

If Moyes does want to rest players I hope Barkley is given some minutes. Home to West Brom would hardly be a baptism of fire for the lad. Would be interesting to see if Gueye can build on his promising game against Sunderland in a match like this. {Ed025's Note - good point that mate..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I think he will rest neville, distin and guaye, bring in hibbert, jags and pienaar

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you'll find he is in America with our under 19s in some tournament.

Agree0 Disagree0

Barkley is away with th under 19s

Agree0 Disagree0

Barkley is away with the youth team. I think he will defo rest Neville, probably put Gueye back on the bench for Pienaar, if anyone needs a rest it's Distin, he has been immense but he has looked dead on his feet towards the last 3 games {Ed025's Note - the problem is mate, that no one wants to give their place up!...if jags comes in and does well, sylvain may not get back in for the semi...the competition for places is fierce, which is a great problem for moyes to have..

Having a bit of banter with a red nose here, told him LFC are no closer to the top 4 than we are and that he needs to accept that they are in the same position as us (between 5th and 8th, chasing top 4 and aiming to win a trophy)
He obviously disagree's and still thinks LFC are the greatest side in the premier league and will probably win the league in the next 3 years. I know. Funny isn't it.
Anyway i said our squad is on a par with there's if not stronger and he asked me what top 4 clubs would want to bid for any of our players, i said at least 6 (Baines, Jagielka, Heitinga, Fellaini, Rodwell, Barkley) Possibly Jelavic if he turns out to be as good as he has looked and even Pienaar (if he was our's).
Being a kopite he obviously disagreed and said only one player would maybe get in the current top 4 teams (Baines) here's the funniest part though he thinks that 12 Liverpool players would be the subject of a bid from any of the top 4 teams. {Ed024's Note - Kopites are well known for being deluded

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have this same conversation at work on a regular basis, I work with 4 kops**tes and one other toffee..
With current performance I would think a top 4 club would take jags, johnny, felli, Barkley, Rodders, baines, jellyman, Cahill.. Bloody hell didn't spurs try to buy Neville? Could argue there a top 4... At the moment at least

Heard a few rumours that Tottenham will bid for Jagielka in the summer?? {Ed025's Note - i still dont want him to leave!...to challenge, you need at least 3 top class centre halves..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

They don't even know who's going to be in charge in the summer, never mind who there going to sign. On another point, I think Roy hodgson will get the England job.... Blue Lee

Agree0 Disagree0

I love the player, and his attitude, been my favourite player for a while, but he is 30, and if we could get good money for him (15mil) then I would sadly accept. Hardly in the financial situation to not cash in on an asset like Jagielka.

Would perfectly happy with Heitinga/Distin as the main two, and then promote Duffy and play Rodwell at CB FFS and I still think they are a very good quartet of CB's. And we can take the 15mil and spend it on a back up striker and a couple mids. {Ed025's Note - you talk a lot of sense mate..

I'm worried about Fellaini being on 9 booking
s. Can't afford to lose him for the semi.

Do you think Moyes is on the case and will leave him out of the next 3 games Ed? {Ed025's Note - he will be on the case mate!...he just has to channel his aggression better, will he leave him out?..probably..

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Is he not 2 bookings away {Ed025's Note - yes..

Agree0 Disagree0

He's on 8 bookings isn't he? I think if he gets booked 2mora he will leave him out of the next 2 games defo!!!
It's madness, he get's booked for stupid fouls he doesn't need to make! {Ed025's Note - now that gibbo is back..he has no need to make rash challenges..

With the blues getting to Wembley again, but this time with our neighbours do you think both sets of clubs could get together, and promote a unified footballing city , as you have seen it yourself the decline in relations between these 2 great teams affected by crass comments made, by either fans, lets show the world a footballing unity and lets make our city proud. i for 1 will be stood side by side with my mates who are reds giving the banter and taking the banter afterall this city has had some heartache lets never forget that.

Nice sentiments an all, but when youve put up with the Emelyn Hughes / Shankly era 70's s--te and all the Wembley/ Maine Rd Cup Finals of the 80's which unbelievably we never got ONE result out of, plus the hillsborugh disaster overshadowing us both in the FA Cup & Europe (fair one perhaps this) then no to all mates together again. Have you ever actually come back from Wembley with Reds fans before!!iBlueboy

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldnt you love to have £35 never mind 35 m to spend.

Agree0 Disagree0

£35? Wow! What an intelligent, witty, well thought out comeback. There's not a single Blue on here that could possibly, in their wildest dreams top that. I'm truely amazed at your satirical genius. I don't think we're worthy of that sort of comedy gold on here. The only solution I can come up with is to share your unique gift with your friends on the Liverpool page. Your hilarity will be sadly missed.

Wizard of Osman

Agree0 Disagree0

I do agree with the RS poster,
But we would spend it wisely ya bell end.
Ps you had the Jelly man on trial at analfield but Queen Kenny said no a bit of a gamble ha ha fact

Agree0 Disagree0

35 pound thats for the carrots your donkey eats.long live the king doing a great job.if you want tips how to spend money speak to Mr Moyes jelovic quality gibson superb pinnear the list is endless, the question you kopites have to ask is how many of your flops would get in our team a whopping 0 now how many of ours would walk into your starting eleven.lesson over back to your own site you sad red sh@te

Agree0 Disagree0

It still amazing how kopites can say carroll is worth 35 million, this is the difference between them and real football fans like us.because we would defo not say hes worth it,just like billy who we spent 10 million on and we all said hes crap so all you kopites wake up because carroll is a 8 to 12 million player at best. Terry blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Its funny, because we could probably buy a better player with £35 than they can with 35 million.
