I have always had mixed feelings about kenwright running our club. Yes he is an evertonian and he does love the club, however so many missed opportunities on his watch and some bull to go with it( kings dock, fortress sports fund etc ). If we don't strengthen the team in the next 50 minutes- and I am less than optimistic that we will- Bill will have lost any credibility that he had left with the fans and they will turn on him. Calm down about Lukaku looking like he's choosing West Brom over us. Of course he'd choose them. He spent all of last year there and was a huge success, and will surely be even better this season. He knows everyone there, knows the other players, knows the manager and knows that they are going to play a style of football better suiting his style of play.
He's also only 20 years old, I'm 18 and can tell you that if I was in his situation and knew I had to leave my club to go play for a new one for a year, again, I'd definitely, 100% go back to the one I just returned from.
It's nothing to do with the two clubs stature.
Also, If WBA do get him, I highly doubt that they'll go through with a deal for Victor. They will know they won't need him and hopefully he will see that too. Hope he stays here were he is loved (by me, at least).

What is happening to our club? It kills me to see clubs like crystal palace, Norwich, Southampton, Cardiff and west brom all being able to outspend us and attract players. Every season we us evertonians are full of optimism and every transfer deadline we all have high hope of a big signing but everyone one as of late we are let down. We have turned in to a selling club. Fine kenwright has done all he can but can he not see the hurt that we all feel? His meant to be an evertonian but if so why put our club through this? Until the club is sold, I can't see things changing. This is a sad time for us and I haut hope that the players left to play in a blue shirt give their all and make us proud. Felli has not gone, Baines has not gone. So far in has been an exciting winger on a year loan, a central defender we have not seen yet, a striker who ok looks pants but looked ok to good last season and a back up keeper better than what we had. Despite reports Utd have signed nobody nor have arsenal.
On the Fernando front it seems odd that a fee and work permit were agreed before consulting a player. But it's everton so who knows.
Point is if we said sign 4 and keep Baines Felli and Mirallas in June we all would have taken it. So perspective people

kone is not going anywhere. He just arrived. He had a horrible game against stevenage but I'm sure he'll net goals this season, just give him time.
I can't remember anybody saying fellaini out after the fa cup game agaisnt wigan or bainesy bad game at sunderland.
Kone is a proven goalscorer just give him time, he was superb and a constant threat with the teams he played for (levante and wigan)

I think we all need to be realistic, for Everton there is no such thing as marquee signings, we make signings that improve us, until BK sells us to a Rushian oligarch we have to accept the fact, since the 80's we've been clearly left behind, for Martinez it's all about little acorns, McCarthy will improve us and he will work 10 fold harder than the overpriced hair ever would.

McCarthy even looks crap on YouTube and I could make my Gran look good at footy on YouTube. There's about 10 minutes footage of him passing the ball sideways about 10 yards under no pressure and with the odd over hit cross and missed place forward pass.
I don't know what RM sees in this lad, he's just another Vinny sideways as far as I can see. £14M is a joke. Worth about £3M tops as cover for Gibbo.

Did u c him against everton and man city completely ran the game .hes 22 a player who keeps the ball and will make us more fluent .wigan were relegated with 36 points 11th position had 40 points .there defence was decimated with injuries .this kid has never looked out of place in the prem and will only get better .the likes of Baines and Coleman will get quicker ball .lets get behind him .
I seen that clip. To me he has a good engine and is a good passer with 2 good feet. Similar to barkley but does not take risks . we will need him if felliani goes. But to me a striker has to come in.

can u imagine how lost defoe would be in our side. we need a striker who not only can score goals, but can link play together, which means he needs to be stongly built. Benteke or Lukaku esque. Sod that for a laugh. Terrible attitude, lazy and overrated. Had one good season for the arse and a reasonably good one for spuds but since then he seems happy to collect overinflated wages and do nothing.
Agree he's lazy, but always puts a good shift in when he can sniff a new contract. Might be worth a seasons loan, but think we could do better.

If we sign more players than McCarthy & Barry(loan) then it will be a surprise to me and also a surprise for all the football pundits. The pundits are usually spot on but sometimes a late transfer does happen under their radar so let's hope it's us this deadline day and we sign a decent striker.

I'm surprised people are surprised the value peg leg Whelan has put on McCarthy. Young British players always go for a premium, and Whelan knows we will be desperate if we sell the big man. McCarthy will go on to become a cracking little player and what money we pay out we'll be able to recoup in future when he goes to Man U as Carrick's replacement. It's the Everton way, unfortunately.
Rooney is the only player we have sold to Manchester United since EPL began. So it's not the Everton way at all.
McCarthy is a decent player but not worth the £15 mil that is being touted about.

What I should've said was McCarthy will clearly have a sell on value, since he's still a pup and it wouldn't surprise me if he was, but not necessarily, Carrick's replacement. The Everton way I was referring to was buying players, developing them and selling them on for a profit. It's what we do.

Has some potential (but yet to be fulfilled), had 2 seasons experience in Premier League after moving to England from Scottish League Football, and is a full international for Republic of Ireland. Not really heard of outside of certain parts of UK. Wigan Athletic value McCarthy at £15/20m. get real Dave Whelan! Maybe £8-10m, no add ons etc. I would say the Jury is still out on McCarthy. We need a top striker as a priority and a creative midfielder as well as a decent holding midfielder. So if Baines & Fellaini are going to jump ship, then let's move on quickly and start again.

Big difference being Everton offered 10 million for a player that cost wigan 3 million after add ons, Moyes offered less for Fellaini than what he bought him for. Everton waited til wigan won the cup and endd the season before they contacted whelan about Martinez and you will find Everton handled it chairman to chairman with and I quote Whelen saying Everton can talk to me for any players Martinez wants to take. Everton have not at any time tried to unsettle any wigan players like Moyes has done with Fellaini and Baines. Blame Whelen for making the McCarthy bid public.
