Southern press going ape sh** over Arsenal's 5 point lead at the top.
Editors, it will be 4 points tomorrow and at the end of Halloween week we can whisper. 'WE'RE BEHIND YA!'
Do 'em tomorrow Everton and then some one in the press might actually give us a mention instead of the patronising cr*p we have had to put up with for so many years. {Ed002's Note - What the hell is "Halloween week"?}

Arsenal have no chance of winning the league. Their defence is useless. The fact the papers waste time talking about the wrong teams is their problem. We go about our business quietly and efficiently

I think the last poster is a bit wide of the mark with his post. I for one think Arsenal have a very good chance at winning the League just as long as Giroud and Ozil stay fit. Their defence is useless? Mertesacker has been the best defender in the Prem so far this season for me, and as for Koscielny, he didn't do too bad against a strike partnership that have scored 14 goals between them this season did he? Out of the 'top 4', Arsenal are the team I'd most like to see win the Prem purely because they play magnificent football and are a joy to watch.

Mushy, if you where to read the so-called southern press regularly instead of occasionally you would have understandably come to the conclusion that over the past few years arsenal are a finished, dead-beat team that will be relegated very soon, arsenal have come in for serious flak from the press the last couple of years, and are proving the doubters wrong at the moment, so stop being a drama queen mate

Wet myself when I saw you saying mertesacker has been the best defender in prem, the amount of times he has been caught out of position and the amount of times players just walk past him is unbelievable, he is absolute garbage, lovren has been immense for southampton

It's a joy to watch Arsenal capitulate and get destroyed on the counter by a superior team. Liverpool are no superior. They are average and rely on 2 players. If one has a bad game they both do and their team is not a team. There is no other source. As for Arsenal, let's judge them after the second game against Dortmund shall we. Magnificent football? Do me a favour, they are magnificently naive.

Stating the obvious but big game tomoz. Not just because we can go 2nd but it will show the world we are up there with the best.
To go 2nd should really put us in shop window.
Personally the spuds although a good side have been living on a bit of luck lately.
Win tomorrow and the belief the coaches, players, fans and anyone involved with Everton would have will be oozing from veins.
Long, long, long way to go but I just hope that RM pulls thus one out of the bag tomoz because I just think it could propel us forward. It will also mean that teams will know they have to raise game to play us.
Yes we need lady luck and hopefully because of our attitude as a hardworking club lady luck will shine and we will produce an epic performance against a quality team.
Coyb {Ed025's Note - lets hope so AW mate..

Its hilarious, on the radio they were going 'never liked rodgers he should be sacked, we are doing crap in the league and we are going backwards' (despite being second) and going 'rodgers out now', lmfao, they are so clueless its laughable

i thought that we'd all accepted he was never coming to us, but i have seen his name thrown around a few times by some people on here, thinking he is still a possibility, so let me just put this to bed:

honda has officially signed for ac milan. he will not be an everton player.

Thank feck for that! am sick of reading crap on here about him

Didnt think hondas were their thing in italy?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree. I wanted him, but people still going on about him was more annoying than missing out on him.

Read that we're still in for Derby's Will Hughes and will step up our interest in January to prevent other clubs getting him. Any truth in this?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Unlikely. Lots of other, bigger, clubs in for him. If we do get him, we'll have to give Martinez A LOT of credit, because he'll have personally talked him into it. Otherwise, no chance

So, as things stand a win tomorrow will put us 2nd in the league, who'd have thought that after draws against Norwich, WBA and Cardiff

Anyone think a reserve team striker should be given a chance like hope who is on forn and a defoe type striker. i'm not saying to start as lukaku is the dogs danglies but kone is out injured and I think jelavic could do with 2 or 3 reserve team matches to rediscover his goalscoring.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree completely. Someone like him or long; don't need to start, just a few minutes at the end of games to see what he's like.
