Vegard Forren is very close to signing for a club. Is it us ed?

ToffeeMike {Ed025's Note - not sure mike..but hope so mate..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I think if it is us fourth official will let us know in the next couple of days, I hope it's us need a new good young centre back
Little Tim

Agree0 Disagree0

We already have a good young centre back in duffy

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes we have Duffy but we also have Heitinga who is awful, hence why we're after Forren, not as a young centre back that will sit on the bench

Interested to know what peoples answer would be if City offered Milner, Lescott, Sinclair, Guidetti and Richards for Fellaini?? I know its daft and will never happen but just curious.Rob Walker

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Milner - 7m
Lescott - 5m
Sinclair - 6m
Guidetti - 3m
Richards - 12m

All of them = £33m

Fellaini = £35m

Logical answer = No

Although I would have to say yes as I think every one of those players would get better and add value.

Vic and Jela seem to be forming a decent partnership at the moment. Jela was the first player Vic went to when he scored and Jela looked absolutely delighted for him. Just got to get past the potential banana skin in the cup now and carry on upwards. 1eyeblue

if we can get mirralas, coleman, gibson, and maybe a couple of signings we can really do some damage on the top 4, onwards and upwards coyb

No reason why we cant get 12pts there gents. If we are genuinely goin to challenge this season we must be winning, not drawing, against opposition of that quality.Rob Walker

Distin and Howard are liabilities

Believable2 Unbelievable9

Distin was immense again, for me, aside from the 2nd minute lapse. When we get Hibbo and/or Coleman back at RB then I think the back 4 might settle down again. His pace is and strength is second to none and he compliments Jags very well. Also thought Howard had a solid game.

read up on several places now about scott sinclair on a loan till the end of the season from city... i would take him, we've had a few injuries this season and could look to strengthen our wings... hes pacey and is an overall good player.. i would take the guy for the season...

and also, what ever happened to vegard forren the norweigan lad, the centre half? rumours have cooled..

finally, vadis odidja-ofoe, are we gonna take him in jan as the summer transfer fell through...

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Heitinger, naismith not up to this lads, got to get jags back in middle or this games gone.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Can we put to rest now the belief that Naismith is premier league standard. He has to be the worst I've seen in 35 years, Brett Angell aside.

Agree0 Disagree0

Give the lad a bloody chance!! I seem to remember Baines being fairly poor when he first arrived also Fellaini just looked out of his depth. It took both players a season or two to really show their worth. Let's get behind Naismith and help him settle down, if Moyes thinks he's good enough to play for us then I will back him.

Can't see us getting lescott or milner mancini as said no one be leaving man city"psG striker could be arriving on loan"and I think moyes should have a few £mill to spend"

Believable3 Unbelievable0

You forgot man city owe us between 3-6 million for rodwell which they have to pay by next year. The deal was 12 million upfront rising to 15-18 I think so there is also rumours that instead of the rodwell payment we would be getting lescott instead personally think its BS just conveying a rumour

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jan 2013 16:45:17
I hear the jonny Hietinga is a dead cert to go in Jan, he will have the pick of a few clubs but Turkey is a likely destination fee will be about 6m. As a result Moyes will buy Hangaland from Fulham, 6 months on his contract left and Moyes thinks 3m will be enough.
A chance Distin will go QPR got about 1.5m and Forran from FC Molde will replace him for 2.5m.
Moyes still wants Ofoe on loan which should happen and one of the PSG strikers will arrive Kevin Gamiero or Hoarau either have 6 months left at PSG and would cost about 3m each!!

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Hangeland is a beast i would love to have him

Believable3 Unbelievable2

02 Jan 2013 17:11:18
I see tonight's game as a real test. It looks like some of our better players will still be out injured and, lets face it, our second-stringers haven't been up to it so far - witness the away cup defeat at Leeds. On the other hand, Newcastle have lots of injuries, they haven't been getting good results recently, and Demba Ba will be missing. It's up to the players in our team to deliver, but DM's tactics and motivation are vital. IMWT.

Moyes has come close to admitting it - he has very little money to spend in January unless he sells first.

Moyes has admitted that he can only afford loan deals.

Understand that he has been told that the alternative is to sell first to raise funds. Wheeling and dealing might be an option because Felliani and Baines will bring in revenue.

Baines will almost certainly go to Man Utd but probably in the summer when his value drops

Believable1 Unbelievable5

I sincerely believe Moyes will have a significant budget this window by our modest standards. At least £10m, perhaps more if he were to sell Heitinga. If the board back him he stays, if not he walks in the summer. And I don't believe for a minute the board wants to lose him

Agree0 Disagree0

Hoarau on loan will be tied up early next week. Expect sinclair on loan also. Ofoe will sign next week

Believable1 Unbelievable2

02 Jan 2013 15:47:35
Early next week? He is on a plane to England as we speak and on his twitter said he has a big announcement coming up shortly.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jan 2013 13:57:42
So apparently Carlo Ancelotti, manager of PSG, has confirmed that striker Hoarau is talking to an English club, so much so, he has left the team base in Qatar and is supposedly flying over to England to discuss a move. Not sure where yet, but Everton and Sunderland are favourites.

Lets hope it is us, before PSG became mean rich, he did an alright job, averaged about 1 goal every 3 games, not the best strike rate, but decent considering the price he will be going for, and seems, at least physically, tailor made for this league.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

02 Jan 2013 13:35:14
What would you lot rather do:

Let Fellaini run down his contract and leave on a free..

OR

Sell him for £40m and buy an upcoming young talent like Isco for half the price? {Ed051's Note - he has only just signed a 5 year contract so it will be a long run down

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Contract lasts until 2016, so I would keep him for next season and possibly the year after, see what we can do, if we can get that top 4 place and convince to sign another contract.

If not sell him for a shedload and invest in the squad.

Either way, win-win for Everton, so I am happy

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe after 3 years we will be a big enough club to keep him here a bit longer. I recon we will have tasted champ league Footy more than once in the next 3 years or so.

Give it 2 years then sign him up for another 5 years, as long as he is good enough to where our shirt

Ajax &Everton are in the early stages of negotiating a January transfer for Johnny, my uber reliable source says it will happen, as the timing is right for all, parties, Johnny wants to go home eventually, Ajax will get a couple of good years out ofmhim, and Everton get cash plus up and coming Dutch under 21 player Attacker jody lukoki as a part trade, will take around 2 weeks to finalise he reckons.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Let's hope so, we could improve our squad with the funds we get from the Johnny sale.

Peanuts and Baines are major doubts for tonight, they look to be joining our ever growing injury list we need to make a few signings and quick if we are going to keep pace with the top 4.Newcastle was going to be a hard match tonight away but i think its just got even harder now if the two lads do not make it come on Bill work your magic again and quick .Stef the blue

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Well that's clearly not true

Agree0 Disagree0

It is just Moyes being Moyes, both are carrying knocks from the Chelsea game, but imagine it is just Moyes playing games and trying to cause a bit of confusion for that person Pardew.

Both will play, especially since after this game, they potentially have 12 days off (I say potentially because they might get rested against Cheltenham in the FA Cup).

There must be money because st the end of the last transfer window we only tried to get ofoe on loan because the paper work was quicker! Moyes knows how to play the game there will be money but not much.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I love how everyone believes Moyes when he says we have no money, do you not think it is better for Everton, that clubs think we are really skint as opposed to knowing our exact budget?

Moyes is playing mind games, it is why he is such an astute manager in the transfer market.

Why is it that we continue to post transfer news when it is clear there is little if any money available once again. We would be better planning to retain what we have got - and stop getting excited every transfer window when Moyes has come out and said 'there is no money'. A whole list of fantasy transfer names is pointless.

Fellaini Milner

Mirallas osman peinaar

Jelavic

Looks devastating to me
Gloucesterblue

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Id keep felli in the hole and play osman alongside milner

Agree0 Disagree0

That team looks top 4 quality, personally would have Coleman at right back, but can understand why Neville is in there (Moyes' pet). I still don't think I could drop Gibson from the starting line up because he is so influential for us in centre of the park, but generally, well, this season, we have rarely have had a fully fit side, so to have options like Gibson, Milner, Naismith etc from the bench, only makes us stronger.

The only bad thing is, it has gotten my hopes up already, and with Everton, high hopes tend to get shattered, fingers crossed we can pull it off, would be brilliant.

Agree0 Disagree0
