Why is everyone moaning at Distin?, I seriously don't understand why.

NOTE:
Tonight's performance was worrying, yes it's pre-season and it's "all about fitness", but seriously, we never looked a threat, we only had about 30 mins of the game and the defence seemed like they had never played with each other before...and don't even get me started on our attack tonight. Cahill is NOT a CM, Bily is NOT a LM, Anichebe is NOT a footballer.

I thought we were decent first half, looked good in possession just not incisive enough. Bremen's fitness started to show in the second half and we were just to warn out to compete. We will be better against Villareal. {Ed025's Note - take no notice of these friendlies, its an experimental excercise, come the season...we will be prepared..

Hard for me to get arsed about pre-season friendlies one way or the other. Pre-season games aren't the real thing and aren't meant to be. It's about getting match fit, getting repetitions in training, and learning how to work as a team again. I thought after last August we were going to fly out of the gates and Rodwell was going to become an international superstar. I learned my lesson. Pre-season fixture have absolutely no bearing on the regular season. {Ed025's Note - well said my friend....expect top 6, cos i do..

We were the better team overall in the first half, we controlled large periods of the game. Barkley looked great again, i would like to see gueye and barkley start against spurs {Ed025's Note - maybe not start..but they could prove to vital to the team this season..

Bremen are ahead of us in fitness. First half we were the better team and naturally second half we faded badly. We will look better on friday. Good season ahead for the blues. Barkley, Rodwell and Beckford to shine. {Ed025's Note - and so say all of us..

Everyone saying "Oh Barton, I don't want him coming with a bad attitude", he's a diehard Blue, do you really think he's going to come in disrupting everyone, he puts 100% on the pitch and would show loyalty to us. AND HE'S FREE. What's the worst that could happen.
Dunc was classed as a thug like Barton, but we still loved him because what he done on the pitch was brilliant.

Barton will work his socks off if he was in a blue shirt and would get everyone at goodison fired up for this season. Him and Bellamy would be great signings {Ed025's Note - you said it fella..

Whats the worst that can happen? Hmmm let me think? Try Hospitallise a team mate, or Assult a academy kid, or go to jail for assulting someone on the street, slag the owners all over facebook, (allegedly) give another 1 of his brothers/cousins money to flee the country after a racially motivated murder
Not saying he has already done any of the above but not really a player who would attract new fans or investers is he.

Undoubted tallent but didnt we go from 16 to 4th when we sold Rooney who was a tallented individual. Individuals dont always make a team

With Bellamy and Barton we have no chance of the Fair play award or whatever it is.
Either one would be a great signing though, especially Barton

Jonathan Spector went to Birmingham today on a free transfer well i must say most of the players that have gone for free in this window i would have even if they were to just strengthen the bench, i think we need to sell Jagielka for around 18m and buy ourselves Dann 8m, rodallega or Djalo for whichever one we can get for around 10-12m and get Barton on a free. {Ed025's Note - good shout mate...IF wehave to lose jags..

Birmingham having been quoting £12M all Summer for Dann PLUS he's a red. Rodallega just doesn't do enough for me. I've heard good things about Djalo but the price is out of our range. Wouldn't touch Barton with a barge pole. Don't want his kind. Someone posted on here earlier that they know all the Barton's and went to school with Joey. Apparently, all the Barton's are scum. PLUS you've forgotten the important factor of wages. Dann would probably want around £40k per week, Barton maybe £60k.

Why do ppl keep saying carew is on his way? What a load of crap. And to the guy raving in about how awesome he is... Are u mad? Do u kno anything about football? Carew is well past his best. He was released by 2 clubs in the space of 6 months, yet u think hes good enough to b a blue?
