Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

I've just gone cold at the thought of the ultimate nightmare.

Imagine we achieved the improbable and won the rest are game and claimed 4th spot, and Moyes went on to win the champions league. Surely not!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The clairvoyant, Shirley Knott, has looked into the future and has foreseen that ManUtd will not win this season's UEFA Champions League. She refused to say who she foresees finishing fourth in this season's Premier League.
Personally speaking, I don't believe all this fortune telling mumbo jumbo - I think it's a load of (crystal) balls ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr. Moyes will be providing color commentary for NBC in the US next year at the rate Man United is going.

His only hope. win the CL.

By the way, who would take Felli back for 5 million?

Agree0 Disagree0

I probably would do New Blue, but only if he drastically changed his temperament and commitment. If the team isn't playing well he just thinks that's his cue to give up and go missing, in reality a player like him should be taking the game by the scruff of the neck. If he was to return, he should be sat down in a room and told to watch videos of Tim Cahill to understand what true commitment is. Also, I would only have him back if he played in a deeper role.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't worry, it won't happen. Manchester United winning the Champs League that is.They are the worst team left in it and Moyes the most technically limited coach. If Everton do miss out on 4th Manchester United will have nothing to do with it.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Apr 2014 00:13:53
Bitter, I agree with most of your post until u said play him in a deeper role. I think this is when he went missing and was not so effective because his passing is suspect at times. I'd use him as an impact sub on 20 mins left if drawing or losing a game and use his quality of height, but not to the extent moyes did. Play him in the attacking mid role behind the striker, but build up play to the byline and cross balls into the box with him attacking the back post to nod back into the 6 yard area for tap ins.

o how the pressure is getting to some arsenal fans the thought of actually not making 4th seems to have really got to them, credit were its due if they were confident of finishing above us they wouldn't have all of a sudden taking a real interest in our page, bring on sunday

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mike, fair comment but for the last couple of years we have just managed to make 4th spot on the last day of the season.

It could be the same this year. We normally pip Spurs to 4th. It looks like this season you have replaced Spurs, so we are use to the pressure mate.

Sunday will go a long way to deciding the outcome. Can't wait.

Evening Gent's.

Hope you are all well.

Honest Blue. True Gentleman and total respect.

Real Mike. Respect to you too.

Blue Tommy (who I think is also DaveyBoyBlue).
Good luck Sunday mate and good reply earlier, lol.

PS. In all honesty. I have and always will have, total respect for EFC.

They remind me a lot of my beloved Arsenal. Try to do thing's the correct way, all above board and within a financial budget.

Everton, like Arsenal, are a sell before you buy club, and that's how it should be, unless we go down the lines of some other clubs and get a rich baby-sitter to take charge, which is not good for football.

In all seriousness, I have total respect for Bill Kenwright, who, again like Arsenal, stick by their manager, through thick and thin and give him their full backing and support.

Respect to you all and good luck Sunday, but not too much of course.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Dagenham Hammer for a start I am not Blue Tommy and it concerns that this is how the dating agency started over on the reds page. You coming on here professing love, kisses and respect with 'lol' regularly added in for further effect causes a distaste in my mouth which I'd rather do without. we are EFC not LFC. Bring on Sunday. and no hugs and kisses.

Agree0 Disagree0

Daveyboy,

This is how I see it mate.

I'm a football supporter, first and foremost and nobody compares to my beloved Arsenal.

However, I appreciate Everton do not get too many compliments, but when a genuine supporter like me throws you a compliment, accept it mate, suck it up, take the praise and move on.

And you boys have an obsession about love-fests. Is it a Mersey thing? I have been there 5 times, was always made to feel welcome but your obsession with "all things lovey" is beginning to worry me.

What are you boys smoking up at Goodison?

Cowpat sid is a legend among football forums globally and has sorely been missed in his absence. Feel like I'm writing a monologue for him, but his banter and jokes were clever and hilarious. Long live cowpat or god rest his soul!

Does anyone know what has happened to Cowpat Sid?
Do the Eds know if he's still a registered poster?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - sorry mate I don't ..

John Stones' Ginger Ale?
Gordon's Gin Lee?
Mick Lyons' Tea Rooms?

Agree0 Disagree0

He left because he thought he was banned from posting?

Agree0 Disagree0

I have it on very good authority that Cowpat Sid was banned from posting because one of the Eds got annoyed with him arguing the toss about loan transfers. That's a pity, because his posts were usually interesting and often funny.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i dont recall that hancock mate, but if he abused one of the eds (and im not saying he did) he would be sanctioned..

Ed025 - I was told that the other Ed just got annoyed with a thread of posts about the rules for loan transfers. I don't believe that Cowpat Sid would ever have abused anyone - Ed or ordinary poster - but he might have given someone the hump over a particular subject. Only your fellow Ed will know what happened. Anyway, there are plenty of other good posts on this site to enjoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - your right mate, but i would still like to hear from him, maybe the compulsory registration put him off, as he used to post under several names..

Ed025 - you're right about him posting under different names, but they were all registered. I know this because I am Cowpat Sid. Honestly - this isn't an "I am Spartacus" moment :-)
The username "Cowpat Sid" is banned - and I don't know the reason - but if it is un-banned, then I'll login in and stop using the other user names. I have also been recently posting as Gabriel. Sorry to be so devious - I hope it doesn't get me banned - but I was never told why Cowpat Sid was banned. I'm sure that I was never abusive or offensive - others might not have liked my comments or humour, but one of the other Eds clearly took umbrage at a tread about rules for loan transfers and banned my user name.
Peace and understanding to all.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - nice to have you back on board mate, just a point, multiple user names are not allowed, if you could just register under one that will be fine..cheers..

Ed025 - thanks.
As soon as Cowpat Sid is un-banned, I'll unregister the couple of other names that I've been using in the meantime and start using Cowpat Sid again.
Once again, apologies for using multiple names, but I never was told why I was banned as Cowpat Sid.
It'll be good to be back.

Not really a rumour more a calling to everyone going the game on Sunday. Goodison needs to be at max volume on Sunday, give the boys in blue as big a lift as we can and make it as difficult as we can for arsenal. A win on Sunday would be a massive result possibly the biggest of the season and would surely give a statement of intent for the future of our great club. COYB!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Too right LM. Goodison will be rocking for this one. The noise needs to be loud and incessant to silence these nomarks who've been egged on by our noisy neighbours this week on their site. It's only a shame that the club didn't play tit for tat over the ticket allocation for them in the Bullens. But hey, no matter. Let's show them how the Old Lady can literally rock, the way it did against Bayern Munich in that classic 1985 game when Howard and Colin opened the dressing room windows at half time telling the team to listen how much it meant to the fans. I was lucky to be there that night and the performance merited the team talk with a comprehensive victory. Having said that 1-0 will do me! COYB.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on LM. all EFC fans have a job to do on sunday. just hope everyone is up for it.

COYMBB

Agree0 Disagree0

Davey,

You have to go back to 1985 to remember the last time Goodison rocked?

Just as well you have a big team coming their sunday than, heh mate?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dagenham Hammer you again miss the point. Back in 1985 Goodison held the best part of 53000 - something the old Highbury never did. And yes, the Old Lady literally rocked as Everton came back to beat the Germans in the second half. Not that you would understand that residing as you do at present in your library of a ground, where away supporters are prevented from attending because Arsenal wish to sell these tickets (against FA instructions) to their own supporters in a desperate bid to raise some sound vocally.

Agree0 Disagree0

Davey my dear friend,

You are really bitter about the Emirates game aren't you?

Everton were not given the full allocation for health and safety reason's.

I was there, as was my son and many fathers with their sons too.
Why would I want my son to be hurt/maimed/blinded by Everton supporters (or probably just one stupid supporter who spoils things for everybody else), who thinks it's funny to throw blue-bombs on the pitch?

Why? because they think it creates an atmosphere. NO, they are banned and rightly so.

Your allocation was cut, blame the smoke-bomb throwers and not the club you are playing at on the day.

Peace out you handsome devil.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think the safety thing was a load of old pony DG, i totally agree about flares being dangerous mate, and stupid things to take to any game, but security checks would eliminate that surely!...

I know Ed025.

Pardon the expression, but it was just a smokescreen used by Arsenal to give more tickets to the Gooners (totally unfair, I must agree, and against FA rules).

But don't tell Davey that, keep it under your hat please, lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - mums the word DG.. :)

04 Apr 2014 00:21:42
Surely a reduction in ticket allowance had nothing to do with health and safety, as dagenham has said it takes 1 person to take a flare into the stands and light it, irrespective of whether u have 3000 or 9000 supporters in the away end! It was merely so that we couldn't send more supporters down there to cheer our team on and even the playing field against home advantage.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Apr 2014 17:10:30
As usual the press eagerly jump on any opportunity to move our players on to others or back to lending clubs.
Latest one, Barcelona cannot sign any more players so Del boy has to go back!
Has no hack actually thought that if they sell one or two (which they will) their problem is sorted.
As European Champions League semi finalists they are not really in brown underpants country!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That Barca transfer ban needs overturning. It isn't fair on Clevs, who will have to wait a while until he gets his dream move.

Theres always Bayern Munich Mike, best team on the planet will obviously want the best player, I've heard a sneaky rumour that the Koppites are looking at him and John Henry is preparing a £55 million pound bid with wages of £310k a week, that would take him above Rooneys salary, he certainly has the world at his feet

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its a pity all his problems start..when the ball is at his feet murph.. :)

Came on here to see who you guys might be linked with and to see everton banter.
I've witnessed a war of words between Everton and Arsenal instead.
If each side is so confident, why not make a bet. Eg you have been comparing similar teams and which player is better and manager. Who has the easiest run ins, who will beat who.

Why don't all the protagonists make a bet. Say £50 each, whoever teams finishes lowest in the league gives money to the other fans clubs charity?
That way you find out who's willing to back up what they put on their board with real sentiment.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - this is not betfair bob!....i cant sanction that on this site mate..

I lose enough to the bookies Bob, don't want to potentially lose to Southern softies too kidder

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair enough Ed025,
I just thought it would halt bickering, and see who really believes their club can make it, and also raise some money for charities.

To Dagger Gooner (and any other Arsenal fans who have popped in)

It's all banter. The problem isn't so much what you write more the tone it's written. Banter is usually good natured and fun. But when you get the bit between the teeth your posts are pretty snide and hostile. This big club small club rubbish should have been left behind in the playground long ago. It also brings out an emotional and sometimes ugly reaction from our own fans. On any given day ask a blue their thoughts on Arsenal and I'm sure you'll find most speak with admiration and respect.

I look at Arsenal and I see a side similar in philosophy to us. Our cause is based around a desperate bid to get into that top 4. Yours is that desperate bid to get back those glory years where you were winning the title and winning it with style, not labouring towards it because your rivals capitulate. Both different causes but not lightyears apart. We have to compete with teams who spend an absolute fortune on wages and transfer fees in comparison to us. So do you (although to an extent that's because of your managers own philosophy, a debate you lads no doubt have amongst yourselves). Both our clubs are prudent with the resources they have. We both have to rely on producing players from the academy or buying players with potential and watching that potential unravel. We then have to see the fruits of those labours sold off to the highest bidder each season. To an extent our clubs both suffer from bottleitis. Several times over the last few seasons we have been on the edge of something we would consider achievement. Several times we have bottled it when it matters most. It's the same with you guys. You can't deny you've been let down by your team in big matches during that 9 year wait.

Both our managers try to play the game in the right way, you've known nothing else for nearly 20 years. But for us blues (especially the younger ones) we are new to this. Whatever a persons perception of Everton was under Moyes it can't be the same under Martinez, we are a transformed side. We go into every game believing we can win and in my opinion, on our day, very few sides can live with us. It would be foolish for a blue to say our squad is better blah blah blah. Arsenal have a host of world class players. But it would be foolish for someone else to write our squad off. At the end of the day 4 points separates us and we still have a game in hand. For me, that deserves respect considering the two sides who are immediately below us. Based on bank balance alone we should be nowhere near as far up as we are. But we are and I don't see that changing for a while.

The beauty of the game this weekend is that one of us won't bottle it. If it's a draw then that means in the 2 games we have played in the league nothing separates us. But it's Everton v Arsenal, Martinez v Wenger, do you think either will set out for a draw? Hell no. So may the best team win and whatever the result I hope the losing sides fans accept that and give praise where praise is due. And if your a neutral, sit back and enjoy what will no doubt be a thrilling game between two sides who try and play the game in the right way.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - thats a cracking post oli..respect mate..

This is all my fault and for that I apologise. I called Arsenal crap, which they obviously aren't. I posted a jokey Arsenal/Everton comparison just so I could use a Ox/Gibbs gag. (I don't think all our players are better than theirs).

I am going to do an Alan Pardew and ban myself from posting for a while now.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - dont do that mike, i for one enjoy your posts mate..

Gent's,

What's with all the animosity?

Chill out.

Real Mike. Mate, I think we got off on the wrong foot because I quite like you and admire your knowledge.

You were correct to pick up on my point about our injuries. You mentioned that Walcott was our only long term injury but you forgot Aaron Ramsey, who got injured Boxing Day.

He had 13 goals at the time, I do believe that's pretty much more than any of your players have at this moment on time, but I'm happy to be corrected.

Blue Tommy, AKA Clown Boy. Really mate? Is that it?
such limited vocabulary and not even worth a response.
Somebody comes on your page, a banter page and uses banter and they are a clown.
Notice I used the word banter a lot. Look it up or ask an adult what it means.

DaveyBoy Blue.
have you ever posted on here without using the word Liverpool?
BTW, I respect your geographical knowledge mate. West Ham is 5 minutes down the road from me, but thankfully my dad was a Gooner.

Gent's, seriously chill out.
I'm not one of the bad guys but some of you need to relax, honestly.
I know your neighbour's are doing well but come on, deep breaths and relax. Jealousy is a demon.

By the way. If you boys beat us on Sunday I would be the first to congratulate you on your victory. Time will tell.

PS, Is that ok Ed025? (smiles)

PPS, you boys can ask Ed025. I was singing your praises on the Arsenal site a few day's ago, so come on, play fair and stop being so nasty.

Stay sweet you beautiful Toffee's.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - thats fine mate..

It was me that pointed out about your 3-4 best players out injured claim. Did realise after I sent it about Ramsey and what a season he was having but 6 months of playing well doesn't put him in your top 4 players surely?
Like the way us blues stick up for each other but Agee with you that some of the responses on here are very child like. Think it will be a close game on Sunday. Even if we win we have a hard run in but will be happy with a euro spot if we don't get 4th.
Best of luck to arsenal, played well up until the last month.

Agree0 Disagree0

So you attempt to insult my use of lexicon, therefore my intelligence, and then say "chill out, let's be civil". Rather paradoxical don't you think? I already feel that my intellectual capacity has declined by replying to this post, so I'll keep it short and sweet. In the interests of peace and love I shall accept your truce, as quite simply, I have better things to do with my day. And rest assured, irrespective of the result on Sunday, I shall not be going on the Arsenal banter page giving it the big one.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't have any problem with you DG mate.

If Arsenal win on Sunday, then fair play, you deserve to finish 4th. If we win though, then it's game on. A draw should see Arsenal just hang on to it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yaaaawwwwnnnnn! Can I just say that the mighty blues will sneak it 2-1 on sunday? I am the alcohol genie and I have foreseen the result get to the bookies lads. coyb

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Apr 2014 05:09:41
The Real Mike, you sir, are delusional.
Howard = Szczesny [about the same level]
Coleman > Sagna
Stones < Mertesacker
Distin < Kos [Remind me how many times Distin has played for the French National Team]
Baines > Gibbs
McCarthy < Flamini [You mean to tell me McCarthy is better than the same Flamini who won the Scudetto with AC Milan? The same Flamini who won the FA Cup with Arsenal? That Flamini?]
Barry < Wilshere [Don't intentionally use inferior players to prove your point]
Delboy < Rosicky (Ramsey?) (Walcott?)
Barkley < Poldi (Ozil?)
Osman < Santi (Ox?)
Lukaku > Giroud

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - all that is subjective RR, for me distin is better than merts as a premier league player, and flamini although a decent player, is way past his sell by date, and mcarthy is younger fitter and stronger in most departments, but that is just my opinion..

Howard's better than szcenzy and McCarthy is defo better than flamini, I'd argue that Barry is at least on par with wilshere anyway who is overrated IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

God it's actually spent time writing this

Agree0 Disagree0

Your seriously saying that because flamini won italian league with ac and won fa cup with arsenal that he is better.you forget that McCarthy won fa cup last season did you.and why against 1 of our players names did you put 2 to 3 arsenal players?

Agree0 Disagree0

You are trying to say Arsenal players better than Everton players. But please acknowledge when we play with our team working.I don't know who can stop us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed025,

Distin better than Merts?

Hhmm don't agree mate but totally respect your view, even if it is behind blue tinted glasses, lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Interestingly enough Random Red seems to be picking and pairing players to suit his opinion and by the looks of things wind people up which he seems to have manged quite easily. No mention of Jags or Kev who in my opinion on their day are better than Stones and Osman, its not like he's picking on form either as Naisy has been putting in some top performances recently. IMO if you pick the strongest line up from each squad then I think Arsenal would be the stronger team on paper but it would be close. However if you look at team spirit, guts and determination then I think we would come out on top. Hopefully this will be demonstrated on Sunday! COYB

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - good post that sa90' well done mate..

Ignore my ratings. The only reason I compared players was to use my quite hilarious Oxlade-Chamberlain / Kieron Gibbs joke. That is all.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Apr 2014 14:08:58
lets look at this

howard>szezcesney (chez makes loads of mistakes and is well, average at best

coleman>sagna (remind me how many sagna has scored? not to mention sagna being greedy, he is another average player)

jags>mertesacker (mertesacker is crap, slow, clumsy, despite being 6 foot 6 he gets shoved aside very easily and is always out of position)

distin>koscielny (distin is stronger, faster and more dominant, koscielny is at fault for a few mistkes per season aswell)

baines>gibbs (gibbs is another average player, not in top 5 in prem)

barry>wilshere (wilshere is so overrated, little girl who throws his toys out the pram nearly every game and is so weak, barry is a better thinker and drives the whole team on, wilshere is a wannabe ross barkley)

mccarthy>arteta (arteta is a better passer, mccarthy works harder and reads the game so much better, mccarthy also doesn't dive and isn't ungrateful and backstabbing)

ozil-barkley (physically barkley is perfect and is more two footed, hard working and goes past people better than ozil, if barkley had ozils vision and nice passing barkley would wipe the floor with him, ozil is overrated, give me david silva any day)

mirallas>walcott (walcott is fast, take that away he has NOTHING, mirallas wins games on his own, walcott is just, well, crap)

pienaargiroud (i like neither, lukaku is more complete though and will only get better)

doofy loofy

Agree0 Disagree0

Ridiculous swan, so every individual in our staring 11 is better than there's. you have ridiculous opinions and is embarrsing having you comment on here as an Everton fan.

Thought I needed to post this after spending at least 20 minutes trawling the Arsenal page. Ed 025 (and to some extent 007) has defended himself magnificently in the debate regarding the Arsenal/Liverpool brown nosing. It's interesting to note that there have been more Kopites who have taken offence on the Arsenal site than Gooners! All they do is post remarks like "we never thought we would win it when you were top and we were 4th, so all the best for the FA Cup".
This arse licking is nauseating and basically fickle. There's only one reason for it and that's because they're now fishing for compliments with the trophy in their sights.
God I hope that's not the case. Come on Citeh.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well you and your ed showed why you are called bitters

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it's only your lot that call us that reet..we are passionate about our club, and are quite frankly sick of your clubs supporters treating us as inferior, so if that's being bitter....then yes that's us..

So flamini is a quality player because he has winners medals. So Traore is a good player because he won champions league.
