Anyone else thinking a lack of respect with Moyes and the public contract talks thing ? Him signing one also offers us security of compensation for a manager who has had the opportunity to grow and enhance his career at a club. It's a 2 way street and he may have been sacked elsewhere. He is very well paid and has club control. What is a contract actually worth these days anyway?!

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Personally Meself I'm made up moyes has said what he has coz bargain bill might have just followed through when he seen that interview. So with a bit of luck it might get him an extra few quid in January or better still make him find some investmant for us. One thing tho and I will stand by these word till I'm six feet under the day moyes leaves everton will be a dark day for are club IMWT! LIAM

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree and disagree with u there i agree as i think moyes i thinking on just wether fellaini is sold in that matter, and disagree in the way, at least hes letting bil know whats in his mind, hes not just saying hes not signing it, but your right with abit f disrspect if the man was really loyal he'd stick with us through highs and lows of transfers, he hasnt won a trophy in his eleven year spell, which says we've stayed loayl with hi, now he neds to prove loyalty with us even if we have sales not go our way?

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest, you cant blame the man for postponing the talks. It is an ultimatum to the board, he knows we are in a position to challenge for Champs League this season, and with our rivals for that 4th place going to spunk millions on players in January, Moyes is simply back me in January or I might be off.

He deserves the chance, no point signing a long term contract, then in January "Blue" Bill going "Sorry Moyes lad, Felli and Bainesy need to go like"

So are we all gonna get on Hibbo's back now, for the Arse goal? let's face it, it was his fault, if he'd have left it, Big Tim would have got there!!
Where's the Coleman haters now???

Mike - Back me up....

Gods Doctor! {Ed025's Note - hindsight is a wonderful thing doc..

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Coleman is crap, there's no two ways about it, he can't even do the basics of defending, which is his job. His positional sense is amateurish at best and he looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights. But he does give 100% each and every game and there's no lack of effort on his part and for that reason he should be supported by all so-called Evertonians. It's Moyes fault that we've dropped points for playing him in the first place when he's clearly not good enough. Hibbert gives us a more solid look and is much better defensively even against pacey wide players such as Walcott last night, who got no change out of him. When Coleman is playing I will always support him but that doesn't mean I think he's good enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously lad he had been out for 2mth could have been rusty or lagging a bit but nar I thought he had a good game Yano even in the 80 odd mins he was still putting balls into the arsenal box I would have gave him a 8/10 so a cant agree

i have never known the standard of refereeing to be so bad, most games in the prem now have at least 1 bad decision which can affect the result of the game. everton have had many bad decisions this season including penaltys which we were not awarded, i think to be a top team you need a lot of luck which everton are not getting at the moment, there are a few young refs in the prem now and that aint right , to be a good ref you need to be experienced which these lads arnt

Just had a cup of tea and a belgium bun, thats a large current bun iced on top with a cherry in the middle a brilliant invention. It would be a good idea if they sold them at half time in honour of our belgium players. Anyone for a cup of tea and a Feleni. thgfest

Really like the look of Oviedo, very classy. I would switch Peanuts to the right and play Oviedo on the left. I know Peanuts is great with Bainsey, but Nais is struggling at the moment. I felt sorry for Gibbo last night, well away from being fit. Jelly tried hard, but had not trained all week through illness.

Gibbo played well I thought and Pienaar and Baines partnership is too good

just watched the game again and there is no doubt jelly was tryin but is obviously short on confidence at the minute but i believe his confidence will return once the net rattles,on another note naismith is not the answer to our right midfield problems, had a shocker yesterday and wen mirralas returns ,naismith will be benched and all this talk of he will come good ,i just dnt buy it,that is not a dig at him,i just dnt think hes good enough,on another note,i believe moyes will use his contract situation in order for funds in jan because we defo need couple players, true blue, efc 4 life

Out of all the prem games over the last 2 days we had the most shots on target!! A combination of good goal keeping and crap finishing are preventing us from scoring a hat full of goals each game! Hopefully we will rectify this and start scoring at least half of our on target chances! We have to be one of the most creative teams in the league! Which is a huge improvement on recent seasons just need the finishing touch to really get us going and back in the champs league!

Poor decision's from the officials even themselves up over the course of the season.

Being unable to convert all the chances we create every game is what's costing us.

Starting to get concerned about Jelavic's obvious loss of confidence.

I couldn't make game last night stuck in work. How did Jelavic play I know he missed a chance but did he seem interested.
Robbie

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes, he played ok, bit low on confidence but he was willing to have a go, also took a decent free kick, went down the left wing 3 times and put great crosses into the box but nobody was waiting on the end of them, have no doubt that when the season ends jelavic will have netted 15 plus

Agree0 Disagree0

All this rubbish about Jelavic I agree he played well last night and does a lot more than people give him credit for, yes he is low on confidence but its just a dry patch and he will get through it strikers strive on goals overall I am happy with what were doing this season if someone had said we would be in 6th place at this stage I would of took that at start of season, only lost twice all season and in all honestly we should on won more than 1 in last 7 or 8 games but that's football we just need to kill teams off and that will come but were not loosing games and our striker is off form this is where I thought we needed another striker but over the moon with the start and football we have been playing oh special mention to Gibson glad to have you back you are missed when out as he seems to make us more balanced {Ed025's Note - good post that mate, i agree with it all..

I reckon Everton have a splendid chance of finishing sixth this season..Do you get a trophy for sixth no but Moyes has been a great sucess in his ten years roll on the next ten.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Ah - but we're improving each year - and that's all we can really hope for given that the league is so completely rigged in favour of those who were in the top four when the champions league was introduced (Manu + Arsenal) - or who have found a multi billionaire backer (Chelski and Man C) - so now it's very difficult for anyone else to complete - (the europa cup pays very little) - so it's an unequal contest and very difficult to win anything - the League cup allows the 'big teams' to come in very late in the competition - so is also rigged in their favour - and the FA cup is also difficult to win given that there are about 10 other teams with at least as much chance as Everton trying to win it - so no cups is not a disaster - its to be expected if you're not in the champs league - Liverpool might have scabbed the odd cup but those wins will get less and less frequent now - you'll have to get used to being in the second or third tier of the league where things are quite difficult - I'd rather be a blue than a red though - we can handle the situation because we're used to it - rednoses are the real 'bitters' having chosen a 'winning club' because they're reflected glory hunters - they now have to get used to having no glory - haha - which they really can't stand - you only have to listen to City Talk after their games to see how much it drives them mad

.....and I think Liverpool have a great chance of staying up this season I mean Rodgers kept Swansea up and I really think he can do it again

Posted on rs page last night who is OG your second highest scorer but they won't tell me do you know ed
Jab EFC

Believable4 Unbelievable1

That dubious honour goes to Archibald Aress who scored no less than 17 OG's in the 1897-98 season. However it true rs tradition they appealed to the fa and had his goals disallowed on the grounds of he wasn't of sound and able mind when he signed his contract with john holden. Aress was later sold to Burnside Rovers (now defunct) and on the outbreak of WWI took up missionary work in darkest africa to avoid getting called up.

Thats enough now! 6 draws from 8 games 1 win and 1 lose = Average!

We are relying on the mediocrity of other teams to keep us in a European place and Im sorry but after weekend we could be as low as 8th

Come on you blues! We are dominating games but need to put our chances away ! Starting with Citeh! Its a hard place to go but they arent playing particularly well.

Hopw Oviedo ocan fill Baines boots!

After a really poor points return from the last 8 games we are still hanging on in there.lets see where we are going in to the wigan game cos if we are still up there then who knows!
maybe CL will be in our grasp.
If Baines is out at the weekend it would be a blow cos he is playin out of his skin at the minute but i think Oviedo looks quality too. I hope he get a run in the team soon.
