Just want to say after watching the sunday supplement and seeing the player man u are linked with why would man u even consider rodwell. They have a deal in place for de gea nearly 20 mil. They are looking to sign sneijder, modric big name players, one of those will cost 30 mil plus that's them spending roughly 50 mil. Cant really see man u buying rodwell.

Hum, maybe because rodwell is a good prospect for the future? Or because the fact that they are after some big names doesn't mean they will get them. .

moyes wants deals done early, so talks are on going with teams such as west ham over demba ba, and wigan for the possible move of n'zogbia to goodison and chelsea about sturridge. Could be a good season next season with the stories ive heared {Ed011's Note -I agree with you, according to the papers this morning Boothryd and Barton are the favourites to sign

Hi Ed0011. As you'll know from my posts I always try to remain positive & optimistic about our great club. I also believe that, in David Moyes, we have the best, in £'s spent/points gained, manager in the country. I posted a while back what Moysie once said to a friend of mine who used to be his gardener, that the only clubs he would leave Everton for were Utd or Barca. This was in response to all the "Moyes to Villa" rumours on this site. I still can't see him going there even despite the article in today's MOS.
However, if the reports that, once again, the only money he will be able to spend will come from player sales, I can see him getting well fed up with the situation. My big fear is that if Redknapp were to go to Chelsea, Spurs, with their open chequebook, might come in for him. There could even be the possibility that Chelsea themselves may decide on a manager with a proven Premiership pedigree!
I cannot find any evidence or chat that Moysie will be given a reasonable budget to work with, & frankly, this worries me.
What have you heard, Ed? Please give me some good news to go along with last night's great result.

{Ed011's Note - Moyes has stated he would be happy to stay at the club for the next 9 years + if we want him. He has stated he is not interested in villa, or any other jobs at the moment, He only wants a modest transfer budget and there are enough free transfers knocking around to do some good deals. Klose was very impressed with the goodison setup and we have a real chance of his signature. We will have a good chance of top 6 next season if we get off to a good start

I wouldn't read too much in to the takeover rumours regarding mcmanus. I live in limerick where mcmanus is from and he is super to all the local sports. Couldnt see him getting involved with us sadly. Going back a few years ago both he and john magner were involved with man u. {Ed011's Note - You are probably right, but there are bound to be rumours circulating and there are no leaks coming from the club. I have a feeling Kenwright would like to stay and take on a new investor. Moyes will work wonders in the transfer market with what he has got

Is there any hard evidence to suggest that a takeover by John McManus is imminent? Would appreciate your thoughts on this one Ed. {Ed011's Note -I can't find anything at the moment, i know there is a lot going on behind the scenes with meetings etc, we will have to wait and see.It seems from what i have heard that the Klose deal is not far off, he was very impressed with the goodison setup
