Moyes will most probably sign at the end of the season, if he is going to leave he will make sure we have a replacement first
29 Mar 2013 20:10:15
How good is jordan rhodes I think his move to Blackburn prooves he is a born striker think he is worth a shout even at 10 million 27 goals this season
Ant Wharton
Looks like we mist the boat again
A friend of mind has good relationships with the majority of league 1 and 2 club officials. He has told me that he was talking to the Huddersfield chairman at the end of last season and Rhodes to Everton was a done deal until Blackburn gazumped us with a bigger fee and better personal terms at the last minute.

does anyone think moyes will recall howard and neville tomorrow?
surely you would keep mucha in after his last performance?
and neville should be man enough to call it a day
i would play
mucha
coleman, johnny distin baines
mirallas, gibson, osman, oviedo
jela, victor
Must have read my mind! Definately the team I'd play but I'm guessing he'll put mirrales on the left and Naismith on the right
Dont think Oviedo will play. He seems too small for Stoke. Think Mirallas will play on the left and Naismith will come in on the right side! 3pts a must! COYB!!
aflm78
With a bit of luck Moyes will be bold and go for the hs1t or bust option of qualifying for Europe.
Mucha
Coleman Jags (if fit) Distin Baines
Anichebe Gibson Osman Mirallas
Barkley
Jelavic
Over to you Mike.
I think after mucha's performance against city he deserves to keep his place tbh, he made some outstanding saves, I know he has not been great but he has had a little run of games so maybe we will see what he can really do, and howard might not be as brave incase he hurts his back again.
just my opinion

Hi Ed am sure something is happening at Goodison you could see on Moyes face he was in the know this could at last be the investment we have all been waiting for, GuernseyBlue
When was this Guernsey? Is there a video or something?
BitterBlue
I believe he's referring to the interview Moyes gave to sly earlier toaday, Bitter. You know how Dave is, he looked just as glum and had that look as if his dog had just died as usual. Nothing to see here I don't think.
30 Mar 2013 12:23:43
On Sky mate you could see the glint in his eye something is going on GuernseyBlue

Naismith is starting tomorrow. Almost guaranteed, good source.
Weve lost then he's awful!
Would you like a badge and a chocolate bunny?
It's moyes it's most likely he will replace fellaini and pienaar with Neville and Naismith

Also, with foreign oil-rich owners you are CONSTANTLY worrying over what will happen when they've had enough
''with foreign oil-rich owners you are CONSTANTLY worrying ''
Sir you address us in the manner of a non Evertonian, e. g. your overstating of CONSTANTLY with caps.
No Everton fan has had the good fortune to worry CONSTANTLY about '' foreign oil-rich owners''
It's an experience most of us would like to have in fact.
Please bring on the worrying without further delay.
Rupert Towers Esq.
My point is, although foreign investment can be enjoyable and fruitful in the short term, in the long term it may well be disastrous for your club.
Ive supported everton threw thick and thin and when I've seen what mancity have spent and what we have spent and they our unable to beat us money mean very little we need a new stadium yes and maybe 1 or 2 players but we our not far away I know moyes has his bad points but he has far more good points. imwt belfast toffee
Totally agree with you belfast toffee

Do people really want us to spend hundreds of millions of pounds given to us by dubious sources, replace the much-loved players with mercenaries, and still not be as good as Man United?
And do you really want as to continue to fall short and worse, and also always having to sell our best players to make ends meet? Honestly some people are born into mediocrity and don't want anything better.
Yes I do. It won city the league, so I'll have some of that thanks
Toffee ace
Well I don't know about you but I don't view being one of the 6 best clubs in the entire ccountry as being mediocre. For me, I would like to see a bit more money being spent, but I wouldn't like to see what has happened at City or Chelsea to happen. Just my personal opinion
No, but we do need some investment. Otherwise we won't be able to break bread with the sly 4 and will be destined for 'best of the rest' for yrs to come.
''spend hundreds of millions of pounds ''
Who ever you are sir ?
I hope that spaceship returns pronto and takes you back to your own planet!
Rupert Towers Esq.
Rupert Towers, City have spent hundreds of millions. :
Adebayor - 25 mil
Robinho - 32 mil
Tevez - 35mil
Aguero - 35mil
Santa Cruz - 17mil
Dzeko - 26mil
Balotelli - 18mil
And that's just on strikers alone.
So thank you, but I think i'll remain on Earth.
And how long do you think being one of the top six clubs will last without further major investment. Not long I will tell you, so I recommend you start looking at things long term and not just today.
To the poster who named the strikers Man City have bought, can't believe you forgot Jo! 19 mil or something ridiculous
Dave Tuebrook
Sorry Dave, was just doing them off the top of my head- add Jo to the list! It does sort of prove my point though.
Nothing proves your point OP your point is obscure to say the least, if your telling EFC fans that money hasn't helped city or chelsea then your head is way way up in the clouds.
No worries mate, just mentioned it for a laugh an I agree with you
Spending ridiculous amount every season

any true toffee should not get on kenwrights back, the man deserves our respect for puttin the club 1st and its not his fault he's not a billionaire,, we dnt want to end up like portsmouth or leeds, FACT
We are true toffees, we are concerned at what is exactly going on with the club, all we are asking for is some transparancy, ie is moyes going. let's face it the only way forward is investment, if kenwright is topping this, he needs to step down sooner rather than later.
Patsyblue
The man's a charlatan, and him and his cronies are responsible for malfeasance of the highest order. Can you not see through him? He's full of sh*te
Putting the club first? Is that why he wants over 100mil profit for the club, despite the fact that he has stripped this club of all its assets?
I do admire him for what he did for the club, but time to move on, but he does not want to let go of his train set.
I hate the argument, do you want to end up like Portsmouth or Leeds? how about if we end up like Chelsea or Man City?
There is always some risk involved in these decisions. It is life really, there is a lot of things in this life that are a "sure thing".
''we dnt want to end up like portsmouth or leeds, FACT''
Silly use of the word ''FACT''
Here's another ''FACT'' you have a tendency to overlook ''FACTS'' that don't add weight to your argument losing you all credibility in this case.
Sorry can't resist FACT!
Rupert Towers Esq.
Is that you, rafa?
Living near Portsmouth, I've watched what has happened at Pompey over the last few years and listened to their supporters who are worried sick whether they will have a club next season. I'm not a Kenwright apologist, but I don't believe he will sell just for the sake of it and do believe he has the interests of the club at heart (it's Green and Earl who worry me). For all those wanting him to take the first offer that comes along, be very careful what you wish for.
After 11 years he's surely had more than 1 offer? We could've sold to Sheikh Mansour in 2008/2009 but he wanted the stadium move to go through to increase his profit margins. Look how that turned out.
Sorry 11 years is how long Moyes has been in charge. I meant since 2004 when BK became the majority stakeholder

hi ed is it possible for you to post rumours from the past be interesting to see who people thought we were in for. {Ed002's Note - Sorry but it is not practical for us to do that Ryan.}
Ok thanks any way guys
Thankfully we never got any of these players we were linked with in the last window- michael" little c**t" owen, loic remy, adam johnson and the centre half who ended up at soton.
could have blown a fortune on this lot.
so glad we didnt.
stewillow
Ah yes, Vegard Forren who can't get in the Southampton team, and sometimes the squad, in front of such well established premier league players such as Jos Hooiveld, Jose Fonte and Maya Yoshida.

Quiz question for anyone old enough to remember. 1970s efc at home to coventry. Z cars comes on teams runout and Gordon west trot s out only to face a barrage of abuse
From glad end? Why? If you know your history! (mushroom man ) will post back if no one gets it by tonight
He wore a red shirt because Coventry where were wearing green.
Was that the reason Gosport? If that is true then it is a bit pathetic. Unless it had a bloody Liverbird on the shirt then who cares what colour the goalie top is?
Mike
Big Nev wore a red shirt for similar reasons in the ECWC final in 85. I don't remember anyone giving him a hard time over it.
Smithers-Jones
The only one giving Nev a hard time was himself. The man is a Blue legend!
Toffee ace
Mike the booing was good natured, he still received the 'Gordon' salute when he came to the street end.

Pontentail buyers have spoken to kenwright this week and its true trust me on this one watch this space
29 Mar 2013 11:33:27
Never believe anyone who says "trust me"
Trust me Degsy
Never believe a man who says "watch this space" either, I've heard that before somewhere. Bill, is that you?.
I believe the OP is either from the dark side and is laughing his balls off at the current plight of our club, or he's seriously deluded. Bill has a habit of embarrassing us every time he opens his mouth.

Team for Saturday:
Howard/Mucha
Coleman Heitinga Distin Baines
Mirallas Barkley Gibson Osman
Jelavic Anichebe
Looks good to me. to the 6 who disagreed name your line ups then

Well said Ste, and a good line up for me OP

You can buy a season ticket any time from the beginning of the year. So isn't it a bit harsh to put every takeover news down to the club lying to us in order to increase season ticket sales.
I don't know what goes on behind closed doors just like the rest of us, but we can't always put every rumour down to the board spinning another rumour in order to get us to put our hands in our pockets.
The chances of the genuine news of a sale coming through at a time when you can buy or renew are very high indeed. So why not take this latest new from BK as a potential reason to be cheerful. That's where I'm at this time.

I don't believe a word that comes out of Billy Liars mouth.
And as the great philosopher Jan Mucha says ''It is always the best policy to speak the truth, unless, of course, you are an exceptionally good liar. ''

28 Mar 2013 22:16:45
Ed, do you think Kenwright is lying or telling the truth about this potential takeover would love it to be true but we have all been led down the garden path before what is your thoughts Ed. {Ed025's Note - im unsure stef, as you say, we have heard these story,s before, but surely there has to be someone out there who would love to buy a club with the history ours has..
