Did anyone see the net transfer spend of Premiership clubs on TV the other night? EFC have had a net transfer layout of £1.5 million over the last nine years. That is to say that after players have been sold and others bought in, our balancing of the books means we have only had to spend £1.5 million over 9 years.

David Moyes is not just special, he is a genius. I guess this also means we must be one of the best wage payers? Our money must be going somewhere? BluenoseDegsy

If people keep posting and airing their opinions (daft or not), I will continue to refresh the page every five bloody minutes to see if it's updated! Sad but I don't care ;)

If u compare us to spurs we did spend roughly the same on wages and have similar avg attendences. The difference is spurs make a lot more in hospitality and had a good champions league run . That gave Harry money to spend on transfer fees. Are players are well paid which allows us to compete in the top half.

Seems strange that something has been removed considering some of the bull that gets put on here!

Alan brazil says he was told everton are ripe for a takeover,and the asking price is the lowest it's been since the present owners have had it on the Market, he also said he had news on spurs that would blow your socks of and that it was so sensitive that the source of the information would no reveal it over the phone he had to go and see him in person {Ed025's Note - thanks for that mate..he will be able to sleep now..lol

Is anyone else concerned that Steven Pienaar - who was brilliant for us when he returned on loan - has not only been done for drink driving in England, but is now on an assault charge in South Africa? I'm no way saying we shouldn't sign him - he was absoluely brilliant and made such a difference to our season as did Jelavic - but is he (Pienaar) under a lot of stress and reacting badly?

He's a meant to be a very quite lad, and a very religious one too by the looks of things. But if you read up on him he had a hard child hud in south africa because of Racism and all that was going on at the time, so I'm guessing his life now is like a dream come true so of course he is going to live it up a bit. And if he's punched someone they've probably deserved it. I wouldn't get on his back about it al or get concerned is all I'm saying. Besides who cares what he's doing off the pitch as long as he's playing up to standard?

Im actually looking forward to the new season. if we can bring back pienaar and get naismith and maybe one more u never know how high we could finish. having rodwell back will be like a new signing really after his injury nightmare. plus i hope we see a lot more of Barkley and vellios aswell.

Croatian striker Petric goes to Fulham on a free transfer after they missed out on Pogrebnyak who went to reading! Personally would have took either of these but especially Petric he may be 31 but he knows were the net is.

Cant stop thinking if we managed to sign pienaar, naismith and Holtby we would have a real go at top 4.

We should stop this delusion of being top 4 as it's never going to happen until we find a wealthy backer. {Ed025's Note - with a couple of good signings, i believe top 4 is not that far out of our reach..

You might be right, Ed025, (I really do hope so), but a couple of key injuries and we do suffer because of the lack of depth and size of our squad. It would be great if all that young talent does come through and gives us a good selection of quality.
Cowpat Sid {Ed025's Note - i truely belive sid, that we have the best crop of youngsters in the league, and if one or two step up to the plate, that will give us the strength in depth we need, if ross breaks through, and we get pienaar and naismith....our midfield will be as strong as anything out there..

Look mate, how are we delusional for thinking a top 4 finish is possible? you lot all think you're going to sign players like Cavani and Falcao, who would probably laugh at Liverpool if they came in with an offer, so let's not talk about delusion

Look at newcastle. a few decent signings and almost a top 4 side and if we had the signings we would be a top 4 side easy.
