Believable4
Unbelievable2
I am led to believe we have actually inquired to Adam Johnson's availability on loan, however, it is a long shot, as City would most likely, if they want to get rid, sell him (he would have suitors) and not to mention they would have to pay part of his wages if he were to come to here. Therefore, more or less no chance of him coming, but i can sure hope for it.

why is everyone saying we have no money? how could you possibly know if you have nothing to do with the board? For all we know, bills distant cousin might have died and left him £10m! Clutching at straws but the point is, everyone needs to stop presuming that we have no money when we could have a budget of £5-10m

Well said Joe, been saying the same for weeks. If DM signed a new contract before transfer business is complete then people assume the board have given him a decent budget, if we say we have an amount to spend then the spuds want more for peanuts, every other target we look at goes up 50%. As it stands we go looking at a player then "Oh its Everton, they are skint." we do business for reasonable money.

Just seen someone post on here about osman at rm, personally don't know if anyone agrees but he seems to perform really well against the 'lesser clubs' and the only occasionally turns up against the top teams, for example Sunderland played absolutely sublimey and then in the semi final didn't turn up I was at the match and didn't notice him once, so I think a perminant replacement is needed apart from that I think we really are close to something special

Disagree completely. Osman has great feet and most importantly reads the game so well. He always looks for the ball. If he had half the natural athleticism as Rodwell, he would be a regular starter for England.
Shame Rodwell hasn't got half the vision/ hunger and skill of Osman.

Some say Everton, curtailed by the bank, have nothng at all to spend on players after the pienarr in and yobo/cahill out deals are done. Maybe I am over optimistic but I do not believe that the situation is that dire....I believe the bank will have noted the financial prudence we have shown over the last financial year, tracked the possible sources of income for the future (even if that were to mean the sale of one of the better players) and will not so stranglehold the club that they are not permitted to spend a little more in this transfer window. We have good diposable assets, and with the board giving assurances that, if things became tight down the line, we would sell on a top player, I think we will be granted a bit of breathing space on the debt, and there will be a little more to spend in this window. Now that the haggling is over with Spurs, where Bill will have claimed dire poverty on our part, I expect there to be a further outgoing, a couple of million no more, on a winger/striker.

I hope the rumours about adam johnson coming on loan are true, with peanuts back, bringing his guile and ability 2 keep the ball, felli's strength and gibsons passing we just need a winger who can beat a man to have a really superb midfield, and with barkley and rodwell in the mix, and two lads who can genuinely finish up front am starting to get a little feeling the blues could surprise a few this season, just hope we get that winger.

With johnson on our right we would have a cracking midfield, with his limited chances at city, i think a move to everton would be good for him and us.

As a full Back - would have much preferred to have played against Johnson than Piennar. Always cuts inside on to his favoured left foot and rarely hits in crosses that really count. His tracking back is very poor and is just not a Moyes type of player.

Despite near-constant media claims this summer that Manchester United are close to signing Leighton Baines, Everton reiterate that no contact has been received from Old Trafford for the England international.
Attempts by the national and Manchester media to keep speculation alive has led to reports of bids of anywhere between £8m and £18m having been made by United for the left back, but sources close to Everton have always maintained that neither they nor Baines have been officially approached.
With the latest suggestions being that Sir Alex Ferguson won't pay more than £12m for the 27 year-old — some way short of the £20m where it's believed David Moyes would only start considering a sale — a Goodison Park source told ESPN:
"We have not even had a single enquiry from Manchester United.
"Every week we are asked the same question, but it is the same answer, and we are getting a touch fed up with it. For two months it has been suggested that Manchester United have bid for Baines, but it is simply not true."
The same ESPN report suggests that United are monitoring Ashley Cole's contract situation at Chelsea as Ferguson weighs up alternatives to the 31 year-old Patrice Evra.
There ya go lads.

I've actually seen Bolanos play! (Danish media reporting we agreed a 2.5m fee)...
He's a small, but quite strong, right winger. Of what I saw he was very nippy and creative.. They got him on the ball as often as they could. He was intricate at times (Pienaar esque) I recall he delivered a consistent crossing quality also.

Chaps, like most of yourselves, I've watched A.Johnson alot since his younger days breaking through at boro and a prolific loan stint at Watford... This kid can play! The fact his arse is covered in splinters at city is a disgrace. I know for a fact if city sell him for say, 8-10 million.. In 6 months we'll be gutted we didnt move. What an addition to our squad.. Left footer who operates brilliantly on the right.. When have we ever had a luxury such as swapping Pienaar and Johnson on the flanks after an hour to change up our game?! What a prospect. Free up funds NOW! Act quickly!

One of the things I love most about this great cub of ours and it's supporters is our humility, we know we're a great club, a great club that's fallen on hard time, and we know eventually we will get back were we belong, but we don't feel the need to rub this fact in people's noses or constantly remind them of our past, we know our past and that's all that counts.
We don't delude ourselves every season that we're gonna do this or do that, we hope for as good a season as possible and that our team and manager do us proud on and off the pitch. If a player is not fully committed to our club and giving 100% we don't want him no matter how good he is. And if a player has given his all every time his worn our blue we will back him and wish him well and follow his career when he moves on.
I feel this is exemplified by this summers transfer window, Cahill leaves us and there's no moaning or begrudging him his payday, there's simply message upon message of good luck and thanks for all the great memories. Peanuts comes back to us, and we all accept that players make mistakes, and the fact that he wanted to leave 18 months ago is forgotten by his performances while on loan and him stating that he wants to play for us!!
And finally we only signed two players this summer and sold 2 or 3 but we're happy with that, in fact I think most of us would be fine if the transfer window closed next week, we never ask for much and what we get we appreciate, because toffees are born not made, it's in our blood. I have a feeling this is gonna be a special season, but even if it's not we will all turn out on match days to support our blues, we'll bite our nails, kick our dogs, scream , cheer and maybe even cry a little. We love this club no matter what!!!

If we recruit another forward, I'd like to see a gas man! Someone who can come off the bench after an hour and play on the shoulder a bit. Jela is classy as they come but he's running in treacle. Would be nice to see some variety.. When AJ first signed that added dimension gave us a real boost!

ED been having a thought is there any chance that the Sahin rumours have legs to them? He was bought for 10 million euros, he's been told he doesn't figure in mourinhos plans and can go on a loan or permenant deal, he's only actually played 4 games for them, spurs don't want him in the modric deal as villas boas wants just money so he can get moutinho and arsenal have opted for cazorla instead so surely with it being us and west ham left being linked then there's every chance a loan with a view to a 4/6 million permenant can be struck? It would be what we paid for pienaar or just a million or two more for someone with a lot of creative spark who moyes could mold into a world class talent, thoughts?

STEVEN PIENAAR will complete his return to Everton from Tottenham tomorrow – for more than £1million less than the £3m Spurs paid for him 18 months ago.
The South African midfielder, who struggled to make an impact at Spurs, recaptured his old form after going back to Goodison on loan last January, with four goals in 14 games.

I think there maybe more to come over the next few weeks. DM always made it clear we need more creativity aside from Pienaar. I know Nayith is a talented lad but I don't think DM had him in mind for the creator rather than someone who would feed off the creator.
So maybe we can look forward to another trick up the sleeve of DM. Don't mind a loan deal either as this is where we got the likes of Arteta and Pienaar in the first place.
Book your days off for transfer deadline day lads it could have a surprise for us on SSN.

I think that we need a qaulity RB such as Danny Simpson or Nathan Clyne. A good RM, I think Adam Johnson would fit that role very nicely and then maybe another striker such as Jordan Rhodes who doesn't mind being Jelavic's understudy until proven in the Premier League.
This would be my dream starting XI next season:
Howard
Simpson Jagielka Heitinga Baines
A. Johnson Gibson Fellaini Peinaar

A few people saying we need another striker but i think Vellios is capable of filling that position in if Jelavic does get injured or suspended.Although i would take Santa Cruz or someone experienced as back. I would try everything to get Lewis Holtby. Watched him a few times last season and the other day in a friendly and he is a perfect replacement for Mikel Arteta. Crossing and passing is perfect and he puts a shift in. I would test Shalke with around £7million and a swap for Anichebe or someone and see if they take it. If we get him it will be a unreal signing.
