Sell Rodwell for 20-25m and Buy Rodallega and Adam Johnson would be a very happy blue if this happened but no matter what I will stick with my team unlike the other lot from across the park COYB IMWT and dont people think its funny Aguero has gone to City for 38m and Carroll went for 35m haha and Mata is going for 13.5m and Downing went for 20m Liverpool just really haven't got a clue how to go about buying players remember when they bought Diouf 10m haha they've been doing it for years. {Ed025's Note - we will do well this season..new players, or no new players...cant wait COYB..

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Rodallega isn't very good, did you see him vs us last season? I'd much rather Sturridge.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on about liverpool mate, they never get a manager who knows the market well and the amount of money they have wasted over the years is beyond belief
It's frustrating though because could you imagine if moyes was given just a fraction of the money man city or chelsea or liverpool have wasted 50 million, which is not loads in this day and age and moyes would win the title {Ed025's Note - a quarter of that will do..

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are you so bothered what Liverpool do or how much they spend? Mmmm obsessed?

Agree0 Disagree0

Right im the original poster of this and would like to say Rodallega is good he may not have played well against us but he is still a quality striker although i do think wigan would be reluctant to sell him after just losing there top player and I do agree i would rather have sturridge as well but andres villas boas has said hes in chelsea's plans for next season so id say that's a no go, i would like us to try and go for Pablo Osvaldo hes another forward that would easily do the job, Fernando Llorente is another name but im afraid we wont be getting him unless someone goes, and by the way Lewis Holtby is available for 7m right so we have 3m from Pienaar 2.5m from Vaughan and the loan money we got from Yak and Yobo surely that adds uo to around 7m? And to that Liverpool fan who posted at the end were obsessed hmmm im sure its you thats on our rumours page?

Jags will leave ... Don't be surprised if nobody comes in though ... Bill will decide Heitinga, Rodwell, Neville or Duffy can cover centre back .. The money Will go to the banks ... Believe it people - our debt is so bad we're more USA than Greece {Ed025's Note - if this did happen..there would be a lot of angry blues fans..

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Our debt is not so bad it's about 40 mill tops compare that to man utd it's about a tenth now f*** off

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a comment to say how gutted i will be if jags goes Out of the four player's that can get us a good sale price (jags, baines, felaini and rodwell) Iv'e always thought that jags and baines are the two we would find hard to replace Sad to say it but rodwell would of been my choice to sacrifice if we had too.
On a positive note, maybe (if jags does go) heitinga could step up and be a big player for us because after all he is a international centre half and can be brilliant at time's.... maybe a regular spot at centre half could improve his consistency and we could use the money from jags to get a top striker, if he goes, i'd like us to spend most of the money on a top striker, thats all were missing in my opinion, we don't need midfielder's (maybe a pacy winger on the left) or defenders, just a genuine goalscorer and top 6 would be a definite and a competitive push at the top 4 would be a realistic target IF we had a consistent goalscorer
Paul EFC {Ed025's Note - great post paul..i agree with all that

Believable5 Unbelievable1

If we'd have had a 15-20 goal man last season we'd have finished above the shxte and probably in europe. Whatever way the cookie crumbles it always comes back to our need for a striker. Gutted if Jag's went... could probably get away with sacrificing Rodwell...but without Baines last season we'd have been battling relegation, his influence in defence, creativity coming forward, his crosses and the goals he chipped in with were invaluable. Out of everyone Baines'y is our golden goose and we have to hang on to him. {Ed025's Note - nice post fella...we need to keep all of our best players if we are to contend this season..

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree mate Baines was invaluable for us, he was immense last season. Assists 12 goals 7...... god knows how many other chances he created
Totally agree we were 8 points from spurs, we drew 15 games, take 5 of them games which were really tight with a top striker we would have nicked 3 points that's a possible 10 points, people need to realise we have great side on the verge and we all know and moyes knows himself (surely) that a 15-20 goal a season striker would make us a realistic threat to the big spender's.
All "football" fans would love a team to break the top 4 without spending 100-200 million, that's why everyone was over the moon when we did it in 2004, we CAN do it again, we don't need 5-6 player's like everyone is writing on here in my opinion, just a striker and maybe cover in other positions.
Can't wait for the season, im staying positive and hoping a striker comes in from somewhere, anywhere If it doesn't happen, then we will get on with it and get behind the blue men like we always do {Ed025's Note - great post mate..

ok we missed another one but we must keep faith with moysie i guarantee he does NOT want to sell jags but will continue looking for yet another shrewd bargain or two trust the gaffer {Ed025's Note - i trust moyes implicitly, but he may not get a say on who gets sold!..

i actually think jags must be going because if arsenal have made an enquiry and were told hes not for sale why do they keep bidding? that only happens when there haggling over the price {Ed025's Note - thats my worry too..

29 Jul 2011 19:14:17
just wanted to say that we will most likely get sturridge on loan because chelsea are trying to swap him + £20 million for modric
they are not going to swap him for rodwell or anyone else because modric is there main target if not their only target so they only let him go to tottenham if modric is coming the other way

Jags is the first of possibly 4 to go with Rodwell, Fellaini and Heittinga to follow.
Moyes will be given only a fraction of the cash and will have to back track on Yak and Yobo. {Ed025's Note - i dont believe this, maybe one might go, but 4 would be footballing suicide, its not happening!..

Believable1 Unbelievable6

Your talkin absolute bollocks lad, get back to worrying about your own team after your second humping in a week ya bell

Any news today then Ed? I have to say i dont believe any of the things being said about jags going, i just cant see it myself. {Ed025's Note - only the usual rumours ..but arsenal think they are getting jags...i really hope not!..

Everton will probably sell Jags for 15 mil, but Scott Dan for 10 mil and Jermaine Defoe for 8 mil (with Peanuts and vaughan money 2) {Ed025's Note - i say..dont sell jags..

Think about how good Moyes is at seeing a players potential ability.
Coleman 60k, now 5m+
Jags 4m, now 15m+
Baines 6m, now 25m+
Rodwell acadamy, now 15m+
Fellaini 15m, now 30m+
Gueye 750k, now 2m+
Barkley academy, now 10m+

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Distin has said in an interview he communicates better with Johnny at CB, but is confident with Jags too. I think IF we lose Jags, Johnny can easily slot into CB. Ajax fans rated him HIGHLY, we've just never gave him a real shot and played him out of postion all the time

Coleman - Rodwell - Dier - Duffy
Gueye - Barkley - Fellaini - Anichebe(pah)
Vellios - McAleny

We've got some great young talent in our squad, BUT the question is, will be sign someone or rely on this lot?

i just read that scott dann is availible on a free transfer
can someone tell me if this is true? {Ed024's Note - not true , they expect 8-10m for him 1yr left on contract(30-6-2012)

Believable2 Unbelievable0

29 Jul 2011 13:01:24
Surely its important that if we are not bringing in any new players that we keep the best players currently in our squad. Jagielka is one of our best players, so why sell him to one of our rivals in the league? I believe that we have enough (without any major injuries) to be competetive this season and with the emergence of players like Barkley, Gueye, McAleny etc we can climb the table providing we keep our squad together

Hi Ed, does anyone remember the Everton way we do not do our business in public, we do not talk about other clubs players, BK and Moyesie have always said that when we buy a player we will tell you. Other posts always talk about Harry and the the other clowns all jumping for the players we want. Also although we have no money in comparisson to other Premier League Clubs and probably some Championship sides the name of Everton always seems to boost the price up . so I can understand the reason why we do not here much from the club, infuriating as it is we can only be patient. I have every confidence that we are doing all we can to assist Moysie to but the players he wants. As I posted the other day re N'zogbia he obviously wasn'y going to be a blue to the core . Being an Everton player is like being a fan you're a blue till you die it gets ingrained into your skin. Local lads who were always blues is undersatandable but what about the players from other parts., Ferguson , Amokachi, Snods, Sharpy and the rest they never leave nor never forget the bond of Everton makes with you. The right players will come. Keep the faith. IMWT & we must also afford that to IBKWT as he is blue to the core and will do everything he can for our beloved club.

Everybody is talking about possible replacements for Jags if he goes. But why do we need one? with Distin, Johnny Heitinga, Yobo, Duffy and even Jack Rodwell who can play in that position there is no need to replace him. Just use the money on a striker and N'Zogbia. What you think ED? {Ed024's Note - not bad shout, Duffy - no experience and better at left back, Yobo going?, Heitinga is a liability? but Rodders would be good and Neville if need be, money should go on a forward

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Ed024....you calssed jonny as a liability, Yobo goes missing for 70 mins of any game and If you remember when we first got jags we played him in DM, RB, CB and even LB and he didnt look a good buy.

If jonny gets a good run in the team in a place he prefers to play (CB) I think he do the job really well. I cant beleive that moyes prefers to play hibbert at CB instead of him.

Steve J (Blue Nose) {Ed024's Note - Moyse knows best or at least better then you or I, he must see something but a run in the team may just do it. besides not sure Jags will go anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets hope not, We havent signed anyone however we havent lost anyone that matters.

Steve J (Blue Nose0

Seriously 15 million for jags We got 24 million for that muppet lescott {Ed024's Note - club won't accept 15m, will need to be 18-20m

Believable4 Unbelievable0

29 Jul 2011 09:02:12
i posted yesterday that we shod keep jags and keep our strength at the back , however would i be overly optimistic to believe our real targets are not on the radar of other teams and bk n moysey could pull off another Fellaini deal? lets face it none of us saw a £15m deadline day deal for a relatively unknown coming did we?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

During the eighties , when we were kings of all.... we had a very solid defence made up of no superstars just a good solid unit... we now are not far away from this and need to keep the defence as it is , the team need one or two catalyst type players that will spark the squad forwards .. we are not that far away ..... look at city millions and millions spent .....how did we get on last season against them .....oh yes we beat them ....

sorry last post said that nzogbia was havin his medical this morning. hes actually having it later in the day. hope he fails to agree personal terms so we have a chance of signing him. {Ed024's Note - terms already agreed unfortunately, though still reported that he prefers EFC

charles nzogbia having medical at villa as we speak. every 1s mind can be at ease now that we know he WONT be joining us. gutted about this. hes a quality player and he could of been a quality signing for us. trust in moyesy

N'Zogbia seems to have been nearly ready to sign for Villa for over a week ... Perhaps he's waiting for us to sell Jagielka so that we have some funds for him?

Scott Dann would then take up the rest of the cash from the Jags sale to the Arse?

What do you think? Plausible? {Ed025's Note - possible...yes..probable..no..

why are we arsed who we sign we lost 1 decent player last year the nuts ok we lost jv but when did we see him full i am sick to the teeth of defeatest losin before we kick off and Ed u need to start growing bollocks and stick up for the blues {Ed025's Note - i stick up for the blues all the time..but dont ask me to lie!..if i dont think a player is good enough for everton, i will tell you!..if you want to bury your head in the sand, then by all means do so..but i am not an ostrich like you. ...i say it like i play it mate..
