Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

29 Dec 2011 23:35:05
Moyes hates the january transfer window and I believe he refuses to spend what very little money is available on a player who's price tag will be somewhat inflated. Any signings will be loans to get us to the end of the season and whatever money he has in the summer he will do a permanent deal, either with any player who has made an impression on loan, or a transfer target he has had I mind for a while.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

We can only take one more loan we have three already and four is the maximum any team can have in one season. So when donovan arrives that makes four, drenthe, denis, dier and donovan. We wont be getting any more loans!!!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Denis will go back to Argentina, and I dont think Dier counts

Just want to say lads I've seen a few posts saying if we don't improve we will go down... behave!

Landon back soon hopefully Pienaar or Krancjar and even Kenwright wouldn't dare go another window without signing a forward.

Then Moyesey can go back to setting us up the way he did 3 years ago and our second half of the season form can kick in.

We will finish top 8 as always!

Maiden {Ed025's Note - i like it maiden!...have my doubts..but i like it!

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Dont normally answer columns but if you think Landon is the answer you are wrong. He is here for eight weeks that's it, unless we have new blood in the team we will be dragged into the relegation zone. If you disagree have you watched us this season we have played well once. One player will not be able to turn this round on his own. {Ed025's Note - i realise what you are saying mate...but what do we do?, tell him he cant play?...he will give all the team a boost, and maybe the confidence to progress. lets just hope we get some new blood in soon, god only knows we need it!..

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes I have watched us play got a season ticket and go most aways! But when have we ever played well first half of the season. It will come good!

Ok, so the time is nearly here for the JAN transfer window, If kenwright is true to his word then we should have some cash to spend, All i ask is this, surely moyes must have already identified his targets because he would of been told how much their was to spend and any loan deals also, so for once in our life lets move quick and get these players in, in the first week of the transfer window, If its the last day as per usual then we have lost a whole month of playing time....Come on BK, moyes lets sort our targets out next week and have them wearing the blue jersey asap.

Players i would love to see and go....In..steven pienaar, kranjaer and defoe, outs..bily....the team then could look like this...howard, baines, jags, distin, hibbert, pienaar, fellaini, kranjaer, osman,( or drenthe ) donovan, defoe...wow that looks like a tasty team to me...your thoughts please ED, and who would you like to see coming in.

BATTO EFC {Ed025's Note - i think defoe will be out of our price range batto, i would like to see us get lukaku on loan, i think he is a young man hungry for success, who is looking to prove himself, rather like sturridge did for bolton last season

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Hi Ed, I've read another post on here which states we can only have 4 loans in per season. Denis, Drenthe, Dier & Donovan are already on the books. Is there any truth in Dier not counting as he's in the Academy? Or any further on Denis being sacrificed in order to bring in an additional loanee? {Ed001's Note - unless Dier is on a scholarship contract, he counts towards the loan allocation. I am not sure what kind of contract he will be on though, due to the fact I don't understand Portugese and translators are not much help. It does seem likely it is a scholarship though, as most countries in Europe tend to disallow players to sign pro contracts until the age of 18.}

Michael owen will be here soon, berbatov wages to high.

Hiya ed's.... i was told today that the kid lukaku hasn't trained for the last 2 days with chelsea and will be going out on loan to either everton or bolton? only saw this lad once against us in the carling cup looked strong and fast but could be a risk as he not proven and wouldnt sign permanently for us in the summer IF he was to do well. i would much rather us have a go at a striker who has played and scored in the prem. maybe pavalayachenko from spurs if we sold bily we could surely afford him? would love to see peanuts back he would add that spark we are missing in midfield! what would the eds who are everton fans like to see in january? {Ed025's Note - personally. i would like to see lukaku, i see him as a hungry young man. who is just waiting for the chance to prove himself, the same as sturridge did last season at bolton. for me pavalaychenko is lazy , and i think he would only come for the dosh. .

anyone no wats going on with distan am hearing he can leave for a million,we paid 5 and half mill only 2 and a half years ago,we cant take that sort of hit on a player if he want a 2 year contract give it to him we give nevile one,we kept davey weir till his late thirtys, distans a young athletic 34 year old and would be hard to replace...............gandolph

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Thought he signed on a free,

Agree0 Disagree3

We only paid 3m no

Agree2 Disagree0

We paid 3m for Distan not 5.5m. Now 34 wont get anything for him as his contract is up in the summer. He wants 2year contract while Everton are only offering 1year so will leave in the summer for nothing. Need a good Centre half in the summer to replace him, maybe Dawson off Spurs, not many good ones out there.

Agree0 Disagree3

Think hes right mate paid over 5 mill pompey new we 22 mill burning a hole in are pocket

Hey,gandolph you not creeping around the Villa, Newcastle ans Stoke fans today then telling them your their favourite 2nd team? quit creeping around other fans on this site it looks bad.

happy new year fellow blues and i might be shot down from all quarters here but i will give my opinion anyway, davy moyes has done wonders for us in his long years but i honestly think he cannot take us any further,we can say it is a lack of funds, which dnt help but the biggest thing for me is tactics and the pickin of severel players over and over who hav no attackin instincts, neville, heitinnga, osman and even rodwell, all good hard workers but just not good enough, top that off with a striker who is well past his best and its problems all the way,no team should need to play 2 holding midfielders,in our case 3 sumtimes, its all to negative and that firmly lies with the manager so it could be time for a change

Believable1 Unbelievable7

Are we talking about the manager who has kept us in the prem for the last 10 years without a decent budget and forced to sell the greatest player on earth wayne rooney ..carry on david we dont want attacking tactics without the money to buy the forewards it would be a receipe for disaster and championship football .....no careful what you wish for and carry on david... prem survivial is everything tp

Agree7 Disagree0

Wayne Rooney the greatest player on earth have you never heard of Lionel Messi miles better. Sorry but Premiership survival is not good enough for us. Dont want rid of Moyes just yet but needs

andy johnson to leave fulham would he be worth a punt as he knows the club we all know he can find the net we he be welcome back

Believable0 Unbelievable6

What a negative move that would be, just like resigning McFadden.
Still, if it did happen at least we'd have 2 strikers who have played together and actually know each over.

Now that the football quarter news is all over the local media I don't think it will be long before the possibility of a ground share raises its ugly head again.
While my heart says absolutely not, my head says that in the current economic situation it make sense; as long as everything is done fairly.
What are the views of other readers of this site?

Behind Blue Eyes

Believable4 Unbelievable1

To be honest, i think that is the only way we can turn at the moment. We cant afford to buy players which cost nothing compared to the 300-400 million we would need for a stadium. I have heard about the football quarter but dont really know much about it. Can you give me a little more information on it please? What our everyone elses thoughts on a shared stadium. I think the LFC owners would snap our hands of if we agreed.

Everton Al.

Agree0 Disagree1

Iv never had a problem with the idea I think if we worked together we could have one of the best stadiums in the world. But the sh#%te would never even entertain the idea.

No name

Agree0 Disagree0

My understanding, Everton Al, is that it's basically a tventure between the Keep Everton in the City and Spirit of Shankly groups to improve the areas around the grounds.
If you go to the Liverpool Echo site it's explained properly on there.

Behind BLue Eyes.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have just been on the echo site. I think it sounds like a great idea. By making the areas around goodison and anfield more attractive will help sell Everton, in my mind anyway. Its all about making a good first impression. If the surrounding area looks and feels nice then there is more incentive for potentional buyers of the club to spend there money. Let me put it another way, if you were looking at buying a house, it doesnt matter how nice the house is if the street is horrible. Its all about first impressions!

Hi BBE, on the subject of the ground share I watch lots of Italian footie on ESPN. The system seems to work well over there with the big clubs in Milan, Genoa & Rome ground sharing. The fans each have "their" side of the ground. They don't seem to have major security problems either, (no-one could accuse Roma & Lazio fans of getting on well!) So, I would be in favour as long as the current access & transport problems are addressed.
It could also give us a huge boost financially & also in attracting top players. As far as the "look" of the ground goes, I believe that there is a shared ground in Germany, (possibly Munich?) where they have designed the walls of the stadium to change to the colours of the home team that is playing that match. I've never seen it but it sounds a fantastic idea. Any fellow blues out there got any more info on that?
Cheers guys, & a very happy, healthy & successful 2012 to my fellow Evertonians & to all the Ed's. Keep up the great work.

I read an article last year about siamese stadiums and I thought it was quite a clever idea, apparently it could save both clubs 100m each on construction costs, and I don't think it's something either club should ignore. But they did. Check it out, type siamese stadiums into google and you'll find it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the German club you mentioned is Cologne, a friend of mine has been there and say's it's amazing; apparently they use a lighting system to change the colour of the ends of the ground etc. depending on who is playing on that day.
If it were to happen here though my own thoughts are that one end should point towards Goodison and the other to our former ground, with appropriate names for each end. At least that way we would still have a tradional 'home end' for each club.

Behind Blue Eyes

Agree0 Disagree0

Just Googled the Siamese Stadium plan and found it on the Echo website dated 10th May 2010. From what I read we dismissed it out of hand while the RS said they were committed to building their own stadium in Stanley Park. Also, their ground was designed to hold 60,000 while ours was only 50,000, although both capacities could be increased by 10,000 using the central spine.
Now their plans for a move to Stanley Park appear to be a big fat white elephant at the moment whereas we don't appear to have anything whatsoever in mind. I'm still not overly convinced with the idea of sharing anything with that lot but as has been mentioned earlier, if it enhances the image of the club and attracts investment it can only be a good thing.

Behind Blue Eyes

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not share a stadium with Liverpool? I mean, clubs like AC Milan & Inter Milan and Bayern Munich & 1860 Munich share their stadiums, so it's not really a bad thing. Plus, it would make the derbies much better because there would probably be a better atmosphere. I think it would be a great idea to share a stadium and we would benefit from it more because we wouldn't have to build our own new stadium and we would save money for transfers. It might also attract a buyer to the club.

Breeno

Agree1 Disagree0

Well we have nothing,so how much of nothing do we contribute...........if the answer is nothing that sounds a good deal......soz i forgot bills got the money for a new stadium ringfenced......gandolph

Agree0 Disagree0

I too have seen the Siamese Stadium. Now that i like! I liked it the first time i saw it. It gives both teams 'their own stadium' while cutting down the constrution cost. I truely think this is one of the designs that would work for the two clubs. It would also give us something that no body else has........a Siamese Stadium! Peoples thoughts please?

Love the way everybody is judging Jelavic on one game, and he still played better that Saha

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Watched him for the first time live last night not the fastest his touch was poor the commentaters were sayin hes been in poor form reminds me of james beatie ,and ive heard him comperd to mark viduka its a big risk getting players from the spl and moyse was there for me its to big a risk for 6 mill we cant afford to bring in another duffer i think the boy from huddersfield jordan rhodes looks the real deal and is the most talked about striker outside the premier league and hes only 21 west ham av bid 3 mill for him i think it will take a bit more than that ,for me the spl is on a par wih division 1..............gandoph

Agree1 Disagree0

No ones judging him on one game pal, everton were linked with him before he went to rangers and are still being linked to him after he has banged in 14 odd goals this season... I'd take him in a second

The yaks banged 10 in......would you not have preferd to keep him....a proven premier player............g

PAL davey weir still plays in that league rick waller would bang twenty in....to risky...........gandolph
