Just a quick post to get away from the usual posts atm PSV wearing new umbro kit and training kits look really good think it will be a template for ours next season.

Hope so as it looks quite nice tbh. I honestly think are kit this season set the standard for us lol. Most boring Sunday league looking price of rubbish basically equated to a season of mediocrity.

Safe to say I wasn't a fan of it anyway lol.

You got me intrigued and I have to say I really like that kit!
I would love to see how it looked with our Blue on that template and whether that would be acceptable for an alternative strip.

If Moyes had stayed and had the benefit of FM's money to spend, would he have done any worse than Martinez, Koeman and Allardyce? Would he have fared any better against the "top-six" and in other "big" matches?

I think we would have got better, he was building something steadily and the money would have taken it up a level. That being said I'd never have him back think he's lost the plot now.

Agree3 Disagree0

29 Apr 2018 19:48:53
I don't think so. His limitations as a manager would have been the same, unfortunately.

29 Apr 2018 21:45:57
I think with the financial backing Moyes could’ve done better he had built a solid base but alas we will never know and I don’t feel he is the same manager now, the United move ruined him.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Apr 2018 00:08:15
Did he not have the financial backing of the UNT board?

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Apr 2018 09:11:42
In his defence i don’t think he did get the financial backing but then also dilly dallied trying to sign our players on the cheap for too long.
Not totally sure on the stats but I think he only spent about £60m on a squad that had a lot of holes compared to previous United sides and that Woodward was new into the role replacing that other fella and I am sure there were a few failings on bringing in players for Moyes. I think Van Gaal and Mourinho both spent a shed load more cash and a similar number of wins just better return on silverware

Anyway am sure someone out there can give concise stats on it.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Apr 2018 16:49:54
I don't think that Moyes was that far off making us a force. He could certainly spot a quality defender. If he had someone like Lukaku (who for me is pretty much the perfect kind of striker for the way Moyes liked to play) then we would have got into the Champions League at least 1 more time which may have made a big difference to our fortunes.

Is FM's ambition just to keep Everton in the PL (for the broadcasting revenue) until the new stadium is ready? In that case, we've got more than one more season of Allardyce as manager!

Believable0 Unbelievable2

29 Apr 2018 19:09:39
If that was the only way to get the stadium done then we'd have to deal with it. definitely not the case though Moshiri wants us to move forward on the pitch as well as off it.

Read some of the posts about BK and it’s disgusting to read what some people say about him.

He’s always done his best by Everton, he hasn’t done a bad job.

Put your money where you mouth is and invest everything YOU have into everton. I didn’t think so.

It’s easy to slag him off when you’re on the outside. Show some respect.

29 Apr 2018 17:19:51
Totally agree with you mate, will it be Mr Moshiri next, I ask you.

Agree4 Disagree1

29 Apr 2018 23:50:42
Moshiri next? He’s started getting it already isn’t he? This moneys not here, that moneys not there? The Stadium is all a front. He doesn’t know what he’s doing. Some people aren’t happy unless they can moan (hence my moan on here now, haha).

I remember the rubbish Bill got when he didn’t sell to the Venkys (who later bought Blackburn) and look what happened there.
Not sure if he should have a stand in his name in all honesty, but he should definitely be remembered in a positive light. Dread to think where we’d be if it wasn’t for him, or sold us to the highest bidder over the years.

Yes we have to thank him for turning Everton into twenty years of being also rans, plus a host false promises .

Just shows with my post below, if it's that mixed views on our Chairman, have we really any hope of getting a descent manager to replace Sam.

Agree GB we should all wish him well and embrace a new era for the blues.

I just don't get it, i post on here this morning to say about what could be happening in the summer at our Club, rumours etc re Mr Moshiri having a clear out and just happen to mention Bill with Ed 025 for all he has done for our Club and how to pay a tribute to the guy would be a nice gesture and wham bam all that happens from some posters is abuse some of it totally not warranted, its nothing short of toxic and vitriolic, i know this is a site about opinions but for goodness sake chill out there is no need for it, can see why so many good regular posters are leaving.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

{Ed025's Note - posters will have different views on people GB and even though i dont understand it some have a negative view of mr kenwright, its just like some will say gueye is one of our best players and some think hes one of our worst mate, its just opinions i suppose so i would not lose much sleep over it..

29 Apr 2018 12:06:36
I understand that Ed and don't have a problem with it, but these days there just seems so much negativity, can't please all of the people all of the time eh mate, funny old world.

Agree4 Disagree3

{Ed025's Note - it is mate..

29 Apr 2018 12:11:16
Life would be boring if we all think the same mate, I don't think I upset anyone, sorry if I do.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you have not upset me anyway stig, but i see everton as my family and its not nice to hear members being trashed...especially when its about the patriarch mate..

29 Apr 2018 12:38:11
It sure would be mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2018 12:50:04
People are entitled to their opinions but there is no need to be vitriolic about it and especially about a man who, faults or no faults, loves our team, our club just as much, if not more, than everybody else.

Agree3 Disagree2

29 Apr 2018 13:14:04
I know that mate but some were calling him a fat something or other the poor man has been very ill for Christs sake we don't know if the medication was the cause but I just think that sort of thing is uncalled for.

Agree2 Disagree3

29 Apr 2018 14:17:19
Very ill? it was a rumor mate? not seen anyone (members being trashed) but maybe I missed it?

Agree2 Disagree3

29 Apr 2018 16:37:04
I don't get the kenright bashing myself. Done so much for the club. A chairman who supports the club, how good is that in this day and age. Yes he has made mistakes, name one person that has ever existed that hasnt. Everything he has done, he has done in the best interest for the club. can't ask for more than that.

Agree2 Disagree1

29 Apr 2018 21:59:57
We could have worse like Gold or Sullivan!
I think Kenwright has been an amazing chairman and we are better off for all the work he’s done.
Think I’ve missed the ugly posts but I am with you GB and think people should lay off Bill.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2018 11:31:48
When people outside of the club say its not pretty but its effective. You waste a load of money and time being bored and disgusted by your beloved team all season and say that.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

29 Apr 2018 15:33:46
Can anyone remember the last time we where excited and entertained at the game, because all I see around me is anger and frustration at the Poor and negative tactics, surely we should see more for are hard earned dollar. ? Coyb.

If you paid someone good a painting and decorating to do your living room and he done the job well, you would pay him to build you a new house would you.

So because of the shocking start to the season Goal difference is to great to compete for Europa. Two games to go with what 'should' be 6 points. Burnley form not great and have two tough games ahead. Good chance of finishing level on points with 7th place. to me if that comes off it's a brilliant return from S. A. and should be given credit for it.

Let's not start saying Unys and Koeman would have done the same.

We'll never know Tiffa. What we do know is, Sam deserves his pay off and a handshake.
Well done he did the job asked of him, nothing more, nothing less. By his own admission he can't do anymore.
When Moshiri appointed him, one of his comments was, it's about performances as much as results. Results have been good, performances, poor.
Let him enjoy his retirement now.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - and so say all of us..

29 Apr 2018 11:15:42
Look at the players, have they enjoyed their football. doesn't look it to me. Unsworth did start turning things around. Yes SA has done the job expected.

{Ed025's Note - and is very well paid for it mate..
