I don't know what all the fuss is about moyes always had a massive job on his hands this utd side is not good and although they won title I thought it was not a great utd team for 3 years at least take Rooney and van Persie out they have average or players past there best they won league cause the rest were poor well the teams like Chelsea man city, I see this title race being very interesting this season you have the teams I mention which two of them don't know there best team and Manchester United needed to add more quality next up you have Arsenal who if come January they are in the mix then they could win it next spurs they are more solid than the open football they played last few years then us and Liverpool and the 2 merseyside teams look like they are ready to push on from last season, 3 points on Monday would be great and if we can add to our points tally from last season we have a great chance of champions league, Manchester United have lost 3 out of 6 man city 2 out 6 Chelsea lost 1 and drew 2 out 6 now these clubs only loose 5 or 6 times a season so points total is going to be a lot less than last year come on blues we have a real chance with our squad.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Perhaps Van Persie and Rooney and Felli will ask for transfers in January to a CL bound team like Everton.

Seriously though if Man United is on the bottom end of the Table in January, can we put those Baines rumors to bed once and for all.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know Felli can't transfer again but can David Moyes put in for a transfer? He could work the same magic on the far side of Stanley Park.

From Utd Rumours tonight. bless.
'Potentially Utd could drop to 16th come Monday night, worrying times'.
As one of the eds would say, hmmmhaaaaaaaa!

And whilst I'm on one James Vaughn (even though he missed a penalty last night after scoring a cracker) is on fire, would get him for a song in January (okay if you disagree but please no, 'the ship has sailed' quotes!).
A good option for the bench in the run into Prem title! {Ed025's Note - very good championship player for me mushy, but IMO the prem is a bridge too far mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It was only his run of injuries that prevented him becoming a top prem player, would have him back anytime.

Agree0 Disagree0

If that was the case why didn't he do anything at Norwich? the Ed is right championship at best.

Agree0 Disagree0

Better than Naismith.

Firstly, I wish to announce that I have sought and gained (at considerable expense) with copyright the official name, 'Meltdown Utd' so please posters as from this point the new name is,
'Meltdownmushyunited'.
With those boring legal bits out of the way, c'mon Everton we have a real chance here of doing big things this year. stuff Europa we must be setting ourselves for challenging for the big one and as I posted last week, WHO have we to be afraid of?
Would love to see DM's face if we blagged it this year!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why would we be blagging it Mushy, I think we have a real opportunity this year.
COYB.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would not disagree with you on that Mushy. Chelski are so so, Man City seem to be Jekyll and Hyde, and meltdownmushyunited (copyright observed!) are in a total mess. Reading their banter page it seems the tide is turning with regards to giving gollum time, I think he is going to be hard pressed to turn it around.

If results go our way over the next 48 hours we could be sitting in 3rd come Monday night. We have a decent squad, a manager who isn't afraid to give it a go or change it around as soon as it is obvious the plan isn't working, so why not? This could be a year to remember for us. let's hope so!

Thanks Wtg,
Have waited since the 80's for this year, we have only one fear and that's fear itself. If we can do something this year the dark days of poverty maybe gone!
Going to sleep now to find out when I wake that Utd won 3-0 and Baines is refusing to play against Newcastle!

SAF must be made up, there was no way he wanted anyone to take over United who would look good, he supposed to be DMs mate but he has done him no favours. DM was never good enough to take on such a big job and a team which needed a number of new faces. plus DMs biggest mistake was to get rid of all the back room staff, have a good bet on SAF to be United's next manager by christmas. {Ed025's Note - SAF got out at the right time, he had an ageing squad of mediocre players, very clever guy..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree with u and ed there's three or four of our lads which would fit right in at united kev jag bainsey and ross let's hope they don't come back for em. Without em were stuffed

Made me laugh this did! ssn rating on Fellaini against West Brom. BARELY INVOLVED

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That's what happens when the mickey mouse manager panics and buys about the 10th target on his wanted his. We want Cesc, we want Bale, we want Herrera, we want Coentrao, we want Ronaldo, Oh god no one wants to play for him. Just buy Marianne Fellaini then. Thanks for the £27.5 million moysie.

Agree0 Disagree0

The same "mickey mouse manager" who took Everton from Premier League also-rans to consistent top four challengers. Spiteful, barely literate post that betrays a toddler's world view.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wahhhhh david moyes is not ruining our team wahhhhh stop having a go at him wahhhhhh he is a great manager honest wahhhhh we are playing great football wahhhhhh

You might qualify for the europa league next season if you are lucky. 6 long, long years left of him. Enjoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Barely literate? I believe Michael was being sarcastic when he referred to Marouane Fellaini as Marianne?!
Nothing of significance to say so you resort to personal insults? Pathetic! You got the short end of the stick, so, suck it up and let Moyes educate you in mind numbing, tedious hoofball. Enjoy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Oh go away.

And you mean he suited us so well. Face it, you're no longer a 'big' club.

Sorry m8.you lot poached him, you can keep him

I think you have Sir whiskey nose to thank for that. I hope he keeps breaking those unwanted records.
Granville.

The Frog Eyed one is on a one man mission to ruin man yoo, and to give him credit he is giving it a helluva go.
Are you getting used to the 'just hoof it up to fellaini' tactic yet?
Don't worry, only another 6 years left of him. 6 long, long years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some of your lads on the MU page are extremely amusing and/or ignorant. Commenting that MU are playing like Everton, Stoke and other unattractive sides? United are playing like a David Moyes side, period!
We're renowned for playing proper, attractive stuff throughout our history, the manager conceives the style of play, not the club!

Just a quick note to those who watch the games online - whether it be all the time or just a few times a season:

On the post about firstrow being blocked on Virgin, someone (I can't remember who) said something about ads, as well as the chance of malware. The answer is an AdBlocker. All browsers (well most of them - Firefox, Chrome, IE, Safari, etc) can get them. On Firefox, go to the top left and click the 'Firefox' button, then click 'Add Ons', and finally click 'Get Add Ons' before search anything along the lines of 'ad blocker'. My personal preference is AdBlock Plus. And in case you're wondering, it's free.

Likewise for Chrome. Go to the Chrome store (Google it if you can't see a link in the browser's tool bar) and do pretty much the same as Firefox (by searching for AdBlock).

As for other browsers (Safari, IE, etc) just Google along the lines of 'AdBlock for (insert your browser here).

Once installed, restart your browser and go to any live stream and see how all the ads are gone. Happy days.

Posted earlier in season how on earth our medical staff sanctioned Alcatraz signing, injured again-hernia? Several months?

Martinez said: "We expected Antolin to be back this week, but in training he had a little bit of a setback, and now it's probably going to be delayed for another three to four weeks. It was just a groin problem. He felt his groin in one of the training sessions. He had a few problems in those areas last season, but it is the other side this time.
How many on here don't get sick pay?
Sorry but bad signing this one.

Not only was Moyes at fault with Rodwell (for his injuries by training him too hard), Jelly (for making him run around too much), Barkley (for not letting him out of kindergarten).I also heard that Moyes was to blame for global warming, the Syrian chemical weapons and the Kenyan shopping mall terrorists.
Come on Blues let's show a bit more dignity and remember what the guy really did in taking us from bottom six to regular top six. OK I accept the way he left us could have been handled better and a few things he has said since were let's say not very diplomatic. But blaming him for just about all the worlds problems seems something the dark side would do. not us. let's support RM and let Mr Moyes move on with our thanks.

Lets see if you feel this way we come January, take off your moyes tinted glasses, move on accept he is trying to carve out MU with the best Everton players
and then we can talk about dignity!

Paddock Neil

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course he is Paddock Neil. It is his job. Like it was his job to do the best for Everton when we paid his wages. Like I say, he has been a bit naughty regarding the way he left. He has also been a bit naughty in going to press about which players he wants. That is not Everton's way. We have never done it that way. Manchester United have always done it that way. This is not just Moyes. all their managers have always done it. Fergie did it. I suggest it is their policy. I suspect they will come in for Baines again and I suspect they will have to offer a lot more than last time. I also suspect that if they do, Baines will NOT sign a new contract and try to run it out to leave on a free. or even force a move by handing in a transfer request. Will you turn on him then?

Granville: fetch a cloth.

Agree0 Disagree0

Granville, please do not ever say something to me like that again. I just messed up all my emails when I read your post. I am 45 years a Blue so far and hoping for a few more. Resorting to insults like that from Reds I can take. But a fellow Blue cuts to the bone.
Degsypulford

Agree0 Disagree0

I apologise profusely if I've offended you Degsyp, I wasn't for one minute questioning your love and affinity to EFC, but your seeming obsession centring on Mr Moyes is quite strange, he's gone.
He was great at motivating a team and picking up bargains but I feel he's out of his depth at MU. He believes his own hype too much and is getting ahead of himself, he's achieved nothing so far of note. He's also tactically and technically naive, IMO.
All he's done since he's left is insult and belittle us, and he's burnt his bridges with many a fan, me included.
If you're happy to hear him spout this hateful drivel about our club, then fine, but he's gone, nothing to do with EFC. I just find it strong that some still have any positive feelings towards him and continue to talk about him in glowing terms.
I HAD great respect for what he did for our club, but since he's gone it seems like the past 11 years have counted for nothing in his eyes. Without us he wouldn't be where he is today, he could, at least, afford us a little respect.
Granville.

Agree0 Disagree0

Apology accepted Granville. Like I say I am 56 and have been through some harrowing times supporting our club. Mike Walker and Walter Smith both so very nearly took us into the 2nd division (now known as Championship). We had some dreadful players and yes I support Moyes for the fact he turned our club around and when he left, we were in a MUCH better position. I wished him well and still do. Yes I am irked at the way Baines and Felli were approached/tapped and the way Moyes himself was approached. But this goes on in football with lots of clubs. Real Madrid tapped up Ronaldo from Utd for instance. Since Moyes left he has surprised me with a couple of quotes though. but then again Stubbsy surprised me this week with a quote. It happens. Like you say we should move on and get over it. That's all I was also trying to say. Move on and get over it. Wish the guy well and stop blaming him for everything about our club that is wrong. We are certainly in a better position now than 12 years ago when he took over. and quite a bit of that is down to Moyes. The terrorist incidents/inflation etc are not down to Moyes. I think the word I should have used is perspective. Good luck Granville and let's hope for a big win Monday eh? Good feelings this year eh?
Degsypulford

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's hope so Degsy, I have a good feeling about this season and am hopeful of progress, though I am realistic enough to know it's going to be difficult to surpass our former manager's 'achievements' this early in Roberto's tenure, but so far so good, but still very early.
I too remember all too clearly the dark days of Walker and Smith (having been fortunate to witness 2 league titles, 2 FA cups and the ECWP) and, as I alluded to earlier, was grateful for what our former manager did in restoring some much needed pride and dignity in our club.
Here's hoping we can continue to progress under Roberto and maintain our unbeaten start to the season with a comprehensive hiding of the barcodes.
All the best
Granville.

Bloody phone, it's difficult to construct a cohesive, sensible narrative when I can't see what I'm typing. European Cup Winners Cup, you get my gist?
My main point was meant to be that he should show us some bloody respect
I'll leave it there now before I dig myself any deeper
