I think one of the Turkish teams is coming in for him in Jan Ox, lucky if we get 1 million for him though.

Dave Whelan quoted as saying that Roberto will take us to places that they can only dream about.
He also states that he classes Roberto as best manager in the world and was surprised that utd didn't come in for him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Dave Whelan says a lot. Did you know he once played at wembley?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he is turning out to be a good manager for us. I'm not saying he's the best there is and it's certainly still early days. But the optimism there now is going into every fixture is certainly higher than when Moyes was here.

Toffee ace

{Ed025's Note - i think he is doing a great job as well ace..

Dave Whelan is an absolute clown, so it doesn't really matter what he has to say. No way is Martinez the best manager in the world, that is just total delusion.
I agree that he would have been better for Utd than mickey moyes though.
It doesn't sound like Dave Whelan anyway, as he hasn't seemed to mention that he once broke his leg.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that the Dave Whelan that once broke his leg playing at Wembley?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - really?..thats the fist i have heard mate.. :)

Dave did play at Wembley. He broke his leg. He was in tears. He never talks about it though. Didn't want to overshadow Wigan's fantastic cup win. Modesty personified. (You can win tickets for Dave's one man show - "I Played at Wembley, broke my leg and was in tears" by answering the following question. Who play at Wembley, broke their leg etc. etc. etc.)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - love that mate.. :)

Let's get it straight Roberto didn't take over a poor team like Davie did and the fact the best players he has now were already here, his signings and I mean signings not loans, haven't lit the place up! The fact he signs loan players that we can never sign makes me feel that he doesn't understand he manages Everton not Wigan any more or he does and classes us as the same, both situations are not ok by me

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - dont tell me that no one ran it by you first?..i think he is a breath of fresh air, three months he has been here, and for me we are playing better football than we have for some time, he totally gets everton, but will never please people like you..

Well you better get on the blower and tell roberto to drop lukaku and barry for jelavic and osman.or even better, how about heitinga as defensive midfielder.and as we have only lost 1 game, i'd say bobby and the team are doing quite well.but forbid me to challenge your obvious expertise in what's right for everton.
