Believable0 Unbelievable4

{Ed033's Note - then hand it over to David Moyes :)

28 Jun 2016 21:25:01
Let us have faith in Ronnie let him get the playing staff we need and say nothing to the press about our targets suits me fine no price tag rubbish then, coyb.

29 Jun 2016 08:49:26
i thought Yarmalenko did agood job of reducing his price tag this Euro's if you ask me.

id be upset if we spent £25M on Yarmalenko and didn't try to steal Batsy to play up top with Luky.

Moussa dembele from Fulham has signed for celtic.

28 Jun 2016 19:33:59
for someone who was so highly rated, that's a very strange move.

Agree3 Disagree0

28 Jun 2016 20:39:29
I don't think it's so bad. Put it his way, if he plays as well as he's rated he'll take the league by storm. Get goals under his belt and end up forcing a move in a season or two after topping the goal chart

And let's face it, if he can't make there then he's not good enough for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2016 20:48:24
I agree, something not right there. He was chased by every man and his dog and signs for celtic. A fantastic club but I would of thought the wages and exposure is smaller. Have we missed a trick?
Can't wait for Ronnie to start signing some players!

28 Jun 2016 23:22:03
I think he just wants 2 play football. he's been at a big club like psg and probably didn't want 2 move to another just to warm the bench. Still would have liked him to have joined us. I think he's going to be a qaulity player in the not so distant future.

Just watched Roy Hodgson press conference. Two things struck me most. Firstly Hodgson is of the opinion it was only one poor performance, that aside everything is fine . If he really thinks England have done well, apart from one result, why resign. Secondly sat beside Hodgson was Martin Glenn . A FA bigshot who is one of three who will decide the next manager . When he was replying to a question he was asked he unbelievably said. I'M NO FOOTBALL EXPERT. That sums it al up. Any other industry employs experts . Medicine, law you name it, "You know nothing about football, don't worry come and run the FA . Unbelievable.

Im really gutted at the England result as if they had of beaten Slovakia Norn iron would be in quarter finals instead of Iceland 😀😀.

{Ed025's Note - love it ian..

28 Jun 2016 16:25:53
It shows how far are wee country has come as i'm still not over that own goal on Saturday night against Wales. I want to wish Wales all the best though for quarter maybe they will get lucky and rom will start instead of mithchi 😀😀.

28 Jun 2016 14:54:00
Now england players are back, I really hope there is a buy out fee in Fosters contract, which would give us the right to approch him with an offer.
Short of that, don't think they would entertain an offer, no matter how good, understanderably, we are not their favouret people right now.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

28 Jun 2016 14:12:52
Players always have to take some blame when the team does not perform but as Everton fans we all should know the effect a bad manager can have on a group of players that has talent. Shame to see England go out, at least woy has gone. Besides, we're all more excited about our shiny new manager than any England troubles right? ;)

Believable2 Unbelievable0

28 Jun 2016 13:33:16
James Rodriguez would be incredible, perhaps with the Stones money not impossible though?

From what I've been told today Mata seems quite likely but Witsels performance at the Euros may mean we struggle to get him.

Goalkeeper remains arguably out biggest signing this summer though, last night should have halved Joe Harts price!

Believable0 Unbelievable2

28 Jun 2016 15:12:21
Not to be pessimistic, whilst trying to be realistic, I cannot see James coming here at all. Obviously we will be making changes to our wage structure but I cannot see us paying the wages he would want. Think mata would be more realistic and would be a big enough signing to show intent but I'm not convinced that we will go in for him too much. Would not take Hart at the minute for anything more than 10m and even then. in my opinion there are other keepers that would be a much better target.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Jun 2016 16:12:20
Alright cropper lad. just a quick one what about evans performances at the euros you have to say he was fantastic. Also Mr koeman get that Steve Davis fella in pronto. as for goalie has to be welsh keeper Hennessey.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2016 16:42:40
I will admit that Evans has played really well. An I still like Davis but I don't see them as particular improvements over who we have. Would i want ross or stones dropped for them? Probably not. Although both would be good squad players (more so Davis though) . However I do really like hennessey. Not sure he would be top of my list but certainly worth looking at.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Jun 2016 22:42:12
Oh I agree I would not want them replacing john or Ross I think evans would be excellent back up and seven Davies could slot into midfield in any capacity. others who tickled my fancy at the euros were pelle for Italy. also the boy Hendrick from the republic team was very neat and tidy. lastly I see one man not on the England job list. Michael O'Neill there's a man with a plan topped r group and an og away from the quarter finals. bias alert 😂😂😂.

Fail to understand why Barkley wasn't playing last night, a fresh pair of legs if nothing else and wouldn't have been worse than those on the pitch. At least him and John Stones will be fresher for new season start.

Last night highlighted England do not have a quality set piece player in the mould of Beckham or even Baines. The quality from Rooney and Kane was pathetic.

Highlights to me that Kane, Ali and Vardy may look good playing for their clubs in the premiership but fell a long way short in the tournemnt. Will also add Sturridge to that. When you think we had 3 centre forwards at the same time last night and in other matches and still can't score says enough about the quality.

Any thought of Hart being a No 1 choice for Everton, I say think again. There's one or two other head and shoulder above him.

Thankfully the blame cannot be directed at any Everton players for last night performance.

''Any thought of Hart being a No 1 choice for Everton''

Methinks 'Greasy Glove Joe' just isn't a 'big match' 'high pressure' keeper or a 'cool headed guy' when you really need him to be. . . in fact I don't think I'm 100% sure!

Agree5 Disagree0

28 Jun 2016 12:29:14
Like that Keenone - "Head and shoulders above him"! Think he should spend more time on the training pitch and less time on the adverts!

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Jun 2016 06:55:22
Throughout the tournament whilst in it i did not once see the hype surrounding Alli justified. IMO Ross Barkley is a better player. Not once did Alli drive forward with intent and he also gave the ball away a lot. So in a way I'm happy Ross didn't get a look in as he can be fresher for next season and prove any doubters wrong.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - to be fair alli is a very good player, he along with all of them failed to deliver on the big stage though gray, we dont see what is happening in training and maybe ross failed to impress?, at least they cant blame our boys for that debacle mate..

28 Jun 2016 07:55:09
Hodgson did us all a favour by excluding Everton Football Club from this total embarrassment!

Just another example of the FA and their incompetent clueless unimagintive hold on English international football.

Hodgson was never the right man for the job, we qualified for this tournement by beating less tham 'top tier' teams let's be honest this was never put on the table as a reality check! and this handed RH a licence to be comfortable in being 'out of his depth' which he was .

The result is for history to hopefully 'slam' to the hilt .

well done ian wright for telling it like it was, he said what we were all thinking. count how many times he said we were rubbish just rubbish. none of this oh we never played as a team or we weren't at the races, ian wright is like a typical fan and you can see the pain on his face in fact he should be in the commentary box instead of hoddle who talks the biggest load of tripe i have ever heard along with townsend, murphy etc they all toe the line so they can keep their overpaid jobs take a bow ian wright for telling it like it is you pundit like you played like a fan. shame on you England.

Agree5 Disagree0

28 Jun 2016 11:31:19
And just to add John Stones the best ball playing centre half also never got a minute on the pitch. England conceded to Russia through poor defending and Iceland last night again through poor defending also look at the Slovakia game when they offered no threat to the back line that would have gave Stones the freedom to come out with the ball from the back allowing another attacking midfielder further upfield to break down the slovaks. Woy is a dark ages manager with not a clue of how the modern game is played and what systems to use to counter act your opponents.

28 Jun 2016 11:34:05
I am disgusted at the thought of Gareth Southgate getting the job . So much so i am contacting every media outlet open to me. It beggars belief that he got the under 21 post.
why?
He sold himself for a pizza advert having missed the vital pen in a England penalty shoot out .
in my humble opinion the whole country were hurting and he acted disgracefully .

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Jun 2016 06:18:00
Right that's the end of that.

Now we can get back to us and who we will sign, Ross and stones back without a kick of a ball.

Get Ross fit and I think stones may go, now the transfers rumours will start to get stronger.

Rumours of a big player coming in, who do you want, I think we should go for mitchy batushai.

The papers today saying palace agreed deal for him for 32 mil-ish.

Jeez. I remember when palace were broke and i think they were in administration at one point or close to it.

Why would he sign for them when bigger clubs are looking at him.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2016 15:36:48
And i remember when the papers link Batsy to us for as little as £7.5M back when he was at Standard Liege.

thought he was a good player that we let slip our fingers, if the papers were ever right about our interest that is.
