Does anyone else find it odd that Bill Kenwright plays his cards so close to his chest when it comes to the club's fans and the media but then goes and spills his guts to every friend, obscure relative, neighbour or just generally anyone he meets in the street? If you want the REAL story of what's going on at Everton just make sure you bump into Bill in the chippy, he'll give you all the details

Have you got nothing better to do than slag our ED off? The reason I use this site is because more often than not, you get your views aired..even if you're talking shxte. That's democracy for you.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

I agree with Ed Jags too good to lose will be regular England cb in future. Would rather let Jonny go if we have to sell. hate to think kenwright feels he can now keep yobo and sell Jags {Ed025's Note - totally agree..

To my fellow Evertonian who posted this:-

i'm not gonna talk about aload of bull about me getting a phone call by an unkown source or someone on the club, its just my opinion that everton should look at trading rodwell to one of the big clubs such as spurs, chelsea, man city and utd. maybe rodwell for defoe and hutton, or mechada and welbeck on loan + 10m, or johnson and 5m from man city

***************************************

I don't mean to be picky or pedantic, mate, but it's one of those little things that annoy me when other lesser clubs are referred to as "bigger clubs". I suppose there can be an argument that Man Utd are, but Spurs, Chelsea & City are just wealthier clubs, not bigger. I know we are in huge need of financial viagra, but we are still one of the most famous, successful & historic teams in the world. Let's all remember this & be very proud of the fact.

I love jags, he is a fantastic player and if there was no other choice id say defo keep him future everton captain. But i think we are in need more of a striker and a winger then having jags at our club. If we could get £16 million for Jags that could maybe get us a quality winger and that Belgium striker we have been linked with. Heitiga could come in for Jags at CB and we still have Yobo has backup so no need to bring anyone in there. {Ed025's Note - my problem with this...is for me, jags is one of our best players, and when you go down the route of selling your best players..its avery slippery slope..

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Sorry but I don't agree with u , the best defender we have , you want to sell him ? for 16 million only
and by selling jags to fix the the rest of the team we will have a problem in the defense line {Ed025's Note - totally agree mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we all know that if Moyes is to buy this summer one of our big players needs to go would you rather it be Baines i wouldnt Fellaini or Rodwell and as it stands dont think we would get the sort of money for Jack that we should be hoping for after the poor season he had and Fellaini when on song for me is our best player by far so if i had to pick from any i would pick Jags oldest out the lot. I love Jags as much as you guys and when on form is our best defender still not back to the sort of level he was before his bad injury in my opinion and Distin was our best centre half last season. {Ed025's Note - its all about opinions mate...and i respect yours..

Agree0 Disagree0

Evertons strength since moyes came has always been built from the back, so i wouldnt want to lose jags who is one of the best in the prem {Ed025's Note - i think we are singing from the same hymn sheet there mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Every day we all look in the papers, we wish and hope to see we're gonna be signing a superstar striker or even just a striker.... or even just a player The fact is we're probably not, but the more I think about it and the more I look at what we've already got, the more it doesn't bother me. We've got a solid bunch of lads with a love for Everton. You can't buy that Has anyone asked Jags if he wants to go?? He'd probably say no He wants to be OUR future captain. As for forwards, Gueye has been looking good for ages and is as good as a new signing. Victor just needs a kick up the backside and be told to stop sulking.... potential. (I vote big Nev to give him the kick btw, that would sort him out). Vellios? Big lad, great talent that should be given some game time, but thats what pre-seasons for. The list goes on. Lets not forget we have a fantastic manager who knows what he's doing. Keep the faith blues.... Our new signings could already be playing for us

Liam Marley is on trial at Everton, young American lad. I have NO clue who he is or anything. Nothing spectacular, but it's something.

If we got rid of Yak and Yobo that's nearly £100k a week in wages gone with around £8m brought in, Adam Johnson would be £80k ish and only a loan fee... financially it's double, and if he is actually available on loan then we're in the north-west and not a bad club, and he'd definitely get game time. {Ed025's Note - great shout pal...i really rate him..getting rid of the other two freeloaders, is another matter..

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Is Arteta our top earner on £75k per week? It would cause all sorts of ructions if we broke the pay structure for a loanee. Not that City would send Johnson out on loan. They have a whole team of players that they'll want to get rid of first. {Ed025's Note - they need to cut their wage bill..so if he is not part of the immediate plans, it would make good financial sense to loan him out!, we would only pay a percentage of his wages, so it would also be good for us, i dont think they will sell him..as they see him as one for the future, and his wages would put a lot of teams off..

Agree0 Disagree0

No for me, as there's a reason he's not starting. From what I've seen he's an inconsistent Seamus Coleman, and would cost a TON on wages. {Ed025's Note - he is quality mate..

Ed that reply was utter rubbish, are you trying to tell me that nzogbia cant cross a ball, name one wigan player that he would of been crossing the ball to. Thats not the way wigan play under martinez, that quite obvious, they try to play football. I can see what your saying about cahill, but lets face it cahill is getting older and hes not the same player as a couple of seasons ago, although i still agree that he is invaluable for us. We dont need anymore players that can cross a ball, weve got enough wingers that can do that. We need pace and technical ability in our team, someone that will run at a player, we only have one of these ay the moment and thats seamus. And also if thats true that nzogbia wanted 85k then we could of worked through that as there wernt to many other clubs coming in for him, obviously somethings been sorted otherwise he wouldnt be signing for villa. And if your trying to tell me that downing is a better player than nzogbia than you need your head testing im afraid. There is no way in a million years he is a better player. {Ed025's Note - let m enlighten you...ED001..is a red!..and you know what they are like, he was just filling in......on the nzogbia point, i agree with you, i think we missed out..big time he would have shone for us. but chin up mate, we will have to see what david uncovers in his lucky-bag, it may be a gem?..

man utd are willing to pay 15m if everton want to sell, sir alex said that he will bid if we dont get nasri and we are interested but we are in no rush to buy him because we dont need a replacement for scholes yet

Believable2 Unbelievable0

How can they not need a replacement for Scholes "yet"? He's retired If they don't need a replacement now, they never will

Agree0 Disagree0

Because they have carrick, anderson and park, but players do get old you know so thats why they want him in another season

Agree0 Disagree0

Then he wouldn't be a replacement for Scholes would he? He'd be a replacement for Anderson, Carrick or Park (none of whom would be anywhere near old enough to need "replacing" in a year). I'd take Park in some kind of swap though but that's just fantasy football.

If all the rumours on here are to be believed we'd have enough new signings for new starting eleven for the new season
In my opinion I don't actually mind if we don't buy anyone, there are some decent players out there available on loan deals and for me it's just a case of getting in a couple to strengthen a few areas o the team.
I wouldn't say no to Kewell, Van the man or even some other has been who wants one last throw in a top league. As long as we can keep hold of our best players, get in some squad backup and maybe a decent forward on loan then that's fine by me. We've got some great prospects waiting for a chance so let's give them it.
We've never really needed to spend big to get quality so in Moyes we should always trust.
Coyb, Europe for us I think just

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Old players past their best are only after a last decent wage cheque ie gazza n ginola no future in it and its always an injury risk {Ed025's Note - but sometimes..needs must, and i think we need a signing or two..

Can someone, anyone give any good news at all. Its becoming pretty depressing at the moment. As its not just this transfer window, but january and last summer as well with no new faces coming in. I think we are going to regret massively not finding the money to put a down payment on nzogbia, he has the qualities to be world class and at the price he is being sold for its a great snip. I am shocked the the red s**te didnt go in for him or even arsenal as hes french, but he is a much better player then downing, also 2 years younger and those idiots across the park payed double for downing. They know how to waste some money. But come on everton, find some money and make it hapen. Wont have a chance to sign someone of his quality again at the price being offered. {Ed001's Note - N'Zogbia wanted 85k a week, that is why neither Liverpool nor Everton were willing to pay that much. Actually neither were Villa at first, hence the hold up in the Downing move to Liverpool. Oh and N'Zogbia is not a better player anyway, he can't pass or cross, useless for either Merseyside clubs who need those skills. What is the point in you having Tim Cahill (probably the best header of the ball in the last ten years) and Liverpool having Carroll in the box if the Zog is far too busy trying to beat players so he can have a shot? That is why Baines is so essential - he crosses the ball and crosses it well.}

My dad's best friend went to school with the cousin of a guy who cleans Kenwright's windows.

Behave will you

In all seriousness guys - any truth behind Adam Johnson and Bellamy on loan would be more than enough to please me. Though I fear Moyes' poor relationship with City after the Lescott saga may hinder that...unless a player of our own is thrown in.

Rodwell straight swap for Johnson and Bellamy anyone?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Apparantly Chelski are after A.Johnson so tbh, we have no chance of getting him Maybe Bellamy + 10m for Rodders?

Agree0 Disagree0

Il be up for that, Rodwell unproven still after 18 months with the first team.

Steve J (Blue Nose)

Agree0 Disagree0

Bellemy is on around 100k a week and isnt willing to reduce it Some excuse about charities he has abroad and he wouldn't want to pull the projects, so Bellemy is a non starter
