Players come and go like women get used to it
U lot proper drama queens if they go the club
Moves on as do we we cudnt win a egg cup let
Alone the leage or fa cup get real would ya

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree they come and go as many men do. Season three games in including tonight, boring everton, don't exactly know where we go from here, especially if fellaini and bainsy goes.

And still we need a striker come on bill get us someone who has killer instinct in the box kone anichibe and Jelavic are not doing it go get Defoe even if a loan we can't go to January where we dominate games create chances and not winning games we should only just got out of jail tonight at least with Defoe he does not even have to play well but can still Nick you a goal

As the saying goes. CALM DOWN. No game is a given now a days. Look at the RS Last night. It will take time for the players and fans to adjust. See after 10 to 15 games where we are at.

not the best tonight by any stretch of the imagination but were through. now heres hoping that all these baines rumours are EXACTLY that. RUMOURS. if not then I hope bk and the board hold out for the right deal for efc. if the right deal cannot be struck then I am pretty sure the baines will not be the type to mope and sulk around. one bright note about 2nite was the performance of el del. tired towards the end but that was to be expected. kone looked poor but let's give the lad a chance before the comparisons to other strikers a la brett angell, mik madar are dished out. 18BLUEBOY78

Looking forward to seeing my fellow Everton supported on Saturday in Cardiff, although I suspect you are not going to want to speak to me as I will be stood on the segregation wearing a blue uniform of another kind.

could do with a major reshuffle
sell jonny, osman, naismith, anichebe, kone, see if some other person will pay money for them and replace them with younger hungrier players who can learn and adapt to our new style, I genuinely can't believe we bought kone and now after watching him in action am truly devastated we spent 6 million on him and yet spurs are getting christian eriksen for 8 million, atsu is going chelsea for 3 million, why do we always buy bum strikers?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Aug 2013 22:46:44
mate, shut up and stop moaning

Agree0 Disagree0

Sell Kone? Are you being serious mate?.Martinez is not going to do that, he's only just signed for us.Give the lad a chance.Agree about all the others though, just not good enough to play for Everton.

threw but unimpressive,

thought stones barkley and del played well but sometimes you need more options than slowing down the play all the time and passing it round the back, osman and naismiths link up play is awful, lack first touch and ability to even 1 2. also kone should be walking threw these types of defences yet looks about the same level as the strikers we already have, pretty average

Fellaini to the rescue, can the Martinez haters that have never been to a game give it a rest now?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Some people can't afford to go the match mate that's why there was only 36,000 for the first home game. too much money to watch half hearted players

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not martinez fault how we play its the fact he's inherited a squad with about as much technical ability as a drunk down sefton park, only baines fellaini barkley mirallas would get in any of the other top 8 squads, rest would be laughed at as they are clueless

Agree0 Disagree0

Very unfair comment that to be honest some fans are so fickle it's untrue! Get a grip mate.

can people please stop suggesting Oviedo should get near the starting 11. weak and not good enough. He was terrible again tonight.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Aug 2013 22:19:56
shut up and get a grip oviedo played well did some tricks used his pace and still had the energy to do it for 120 minutes! just because a player is weak it means he is bad? wow messi is awful so is iniesta too I mean just poor players aren't they? rather have deulofeu or oviedo in the starting 11 than pienaar at the moment plus ian snodin said oviedo was excellent too

Agree0 Disagree0

Oviedo's pure class mate, just needs games.

If it finally happens that Baines is going, then what about Evra as part of deal plus 15 m. That puts ball back in Man U court. {Ed025's Note - no thanks..

28 Aug 2013 20:51:30
Not at all impressed with this Martinez style of play. Borin as poo. Pass from the back, pass in the middle, pass a bit more in the middle, pass back, pass in the middle lose the ball. How about creating some chances. And get Kone off he's the worst Everton striker iv ever seen

PTF

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bakayoko surely has that title {Ed025's Note - im not so sure!..

Agree0 Disagree0

How about mikel madar {Ed025's Note - right up there mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 21:47:24
shut up moaning i'd rather pass pass pass then hoof lose ball get ball back hoof lose ball get ball back rinse and repeat imo this style of play is much better and gets with modern times rather than us being stoke just with less tall players and kone is starting his first game tonight and he hasn't had any clear cut chances bar one so give him time and if you're telling me he is worse than anichebe jo and brett angell then you should give your head a wobble

Agree0 Disagree0

Thas all good but when playing teams who put 10 behind the ball sometimes you need to get it foward instead of winning the ball backin midfield then send ing it back to defense to allow them to get back

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you sure after that 3yard miss tonight the guy is utter rubbish, makes vic look like pele.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bret angel, by far!

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree other better football than ender moyes, just need to be more clinical, don't forget that was à long way from our strongest 11

Agree0 Disagree0

How many sitters can you miss in one game? We've got the worst strikers in the league. Pathetic performance, spellbindingly bad from Konehead and Osman and Naismith.
Not fit to wear the shirt some of them.
No urgency, no cohesion, no fight. A loooooong season ahead by the looks of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 22:51:29
we have the worst strikers in the league? so would you swap all 3 of our strikers for chamakh? youd swap them for kevin phillips? you are clearly clueless if you honestly believe we have the worst strikers in the league and kone has had one game one bad game makes him awful well let's release all of our players and make them free agents then and just as a club die because every footballer has had a bad game so guess football is dead may aswell go and watch netball from now on goodbye football it was okay until mr know it all here revealed that no one in the sport is any good

Agree0 Disagree0

Very poor, but he's not match fit so needs a chance to prove he's better than he showed tonight.
Degsybrownnose

Agree0 Disagree0

Did I reveal no one in the sport wasn't any good? No, I said Kone, Osman and Naismith had poor, poor games, so take your crap talking elsewhere and direct it at something related because you're arguing against points I didn't make. You clearly don't understand how to read or write because you're twisting words to suit your aggressive nature.
As for 'mr know' it all I merely offered an opinion, if you don't like it- tough rubbish, it's mine.

Agree0 Disagree0

Skittle, how old are you kid? You sound like a passive aggressive teenager with no knowledge at all who writes rubbish to make himself look large!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 23:31:07
i did misread your post and thought you said 'not fit to wear the shirt none of them' when you actually said some of them so sorry for that and because I misread it I assumed that after one game you meant they are all crap hence why I put what I said, I don't think we have the worst strikers in the league and I stick to that I also believe kone deserves more time and you were very wrong in saying he isn't good enough after one game, osman and naismith I agree and again i'm sorry I misread your post I am not aggressive belueve me i'm actually very calm and have a nice smile on my face when having a debate with someone i'm not sitting here crying with a red raw face grinding my teeth posting hate, I did not twist your words just misread your post

Agree0 Disagree0

Blueskittle your comparing are strikers to a team with no money that have just been promoted, hardly a great comparison, i'd like to throw in that if were going to play a more techincal game we don't have the strikers that have much of that in there locker

If Leighton Baines wants to go, we should let him go. Can't see the point in holding on to a player who is focused elsewhere. He's had a good stint with us and has always worked exceptionally hard. The money will allow Martinez to find a decent replacement.

Not looking forward to the sanctimonious Baines demonising on the these boards.

Well it looks like were heading into full transition now it started with the change of manager but if this is true about Baines, Fellaini will soon follow.I know we will bring in players but the reality is we should be adding quality to what we all ready have not selling quality and then replacing them it is such a shame cause this is the best squad we have had in years.Lets keep our heads up blues no matter what happens and get behind Martinez and the team cause our transition looks to be heading into full swing now but the good thing is we will come through it but most teams that go through it have an up and down season during it but either way let's get behind the manager and players and I hope and pray we shock everybody this season and are up there fighting for a European spot come the end of the season. We are Everton we get knocked down but we always get back up COYB IMWT. {Ed025's Note - love it stef..

if the baines thing is true and I doubt it why would he still clap the fans? why hasn't he came out and said anything? why did he publicly say he wanted martinez as the new manager? i'd hardly trust radio city and a web site when it comes to transfer news

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Baines hasn't been quoted as sayin he wants to leave, .even if he wants to leave say no, liverpool have with Suarez, utd have with rooney, .this to me is a journo reading between the lines because there hasn't been a quote from Baines .if he's had his head turned so what, turn it back say no two weeks after the window closes heil be good and then get him on new contract .if everton use that blagg we couldn't stand in his way, then bill should go with him and clean moyes car or sell hot dogs outside old Trafford .

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 17:35:17
I can't understand arsenal they could have bought felli. I think they need him more than utd. He would allow the likes of wilshere Ramsey and arteta to have free rain.

Listening to Bunce on this morning he made a lot of sense in 12mths time utd will be different team.

Carrick 32yrs giggs 40yrs vidic 33yrs rio 34yrs. That leaves them with the likes of cleverly and welbeck I don't think are up to much. Moyes has a rebuild to do.

don't get me wrong because I do want fellaini to stay. but could we maybe be better off cashing in on him (25million) and spending that money on mcarthy (10million) diame (5million) and moses (8-10 million) we may even have cash for another player or loan also.
i think felli out for those 3 and it's not a bad bit of business (mccarthy more creative, diame big and strong like felli but more box to box, and moses is quick strong with an eye to finish)
would rather keep felli but if we used the money it's not a disaster

anyone agree. we should switch Fellaini and Barkley starting positions?

Have Fella sit in the middle and do what he did when we first signed him. tackle, tackle tackle

Pushing Barkley even further up the field and let the lad just rip through defences then lay it off or score a bag full

let me know?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hasn't that been the case so far this season?

I was moyes biggest fan not only cause he did a great job for us over 11 years but the way he spoke and the way he conducted himself since taking over at Manchester United he seems to have become too big for his boots the power that position gives you seems to be we're Manchester United we can do whatever we want yes he will be judged on what success he has but don't loose your credibility doing it its like listening to a different man I really hope we beat them this year would love if it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ive been saying that since he left, his morals and ethics have gone straight out the window, its such a shame to see a once respected man turn into a slimy little snake trying anything to rock other peoples boats.

Just because the Papers Say £20m plus add ons doesn't mean its right. I think RM & BK have already Said we don't need to sell. So unless MU or anyone won't pay our price He (Felliani) will be staying. Deals for replacements are in place just in case. But unless the money is right upwards of £25m I guess then he Stays.

I would be happy to sell if we get the right money. Ross Barkley is like having a £20m signing in my opinion.

We are a better team this year, more depth and in a better financial position. One more year of top 10 and the club will be Debt free, like Norwich/Southampton who are now benefiting from the extra TV money. Then RM will have the money to buy players.

All Together we are a club going places with a great manager, a chairman that cares about the club and the fans. We are blessed happy and looking forward to a much brighter future.

In RM and BK I have faith.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Congratulations. That gave me a really good chuckle that, how someone can be so deluded is mind boggling.

Agree0 Disagree0

How is that deluded? I think deluded is when your a middle of the table team expecting to win the league, fa cup, league cup and champions league when they are not even in the champions league, sound familiar, should do its your team the Reds

rumors are 6-7 of the 11 playing last Saturday will be rested or on the subs bench. I'm pretty sure stevenage will be a tough nut to crack and if we don't watch it we may be out, however the players getting a start should show us why they are at the club. More to the point if bainsey and felli are nowhere to be seen this won't cup tie them if they move on. Tonight's team sheet will be a clue as to their future IMO.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'd cup tie them anyway just in case we meet the buyer later in the competition.

SA90 {Ed025's Note - good point mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Aug 2013 10:08:45
United fan not really in peace but more bewildered by your lack of common sense. Right plain simple English if his buy out clause was 23 million and no one activated it then he is not worth what the clause was. So why now should we pay you more than 23 when anyone could have snatched him up wit no questions after activating his clause. No one wanted him at the priceyou had on him so its personic to think you'll get more for him now.

CAIN {Ed025's Note - its the way your club seem to act these days, anything to save a buck!...i remember when clubs had respect for you, well a little bit..you see the way i see it, all the big names you were after, told you where to go, as most see you as a club in decline, and now you chase our players using underhand tactics to unsettle them, i just hope you reap what you sow mate, and all true football fans get their wish....

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So, if you were selling your house and someone offered 50k less than you were asking, you'd accept that?

I think you'd probably say "well it's worth more than that to me, I won't sell at that price"

See my point at all?

TJ

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not what you value him at that will seal the deal it's what we want, and the later it gets the price should go up not down. And David Moyes VALUED him at £30m when he was here, and then bid £16m. Seriously if you can't see the hypocrisy at work here then you really are myopic and naive.
B-wise

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry I meant to add, so we should just give him away then? He's worth what Roberto wants not what you're willing to pay. If you don't pay what is considered acceptable to Roberto you don't get him. Common sense really.

Quite a few Blues liked your club mainly because of your rivalry with the Koppites, you know the saying "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"

Thats all gone now, we all cannot stand you and hope you fail miserably, bad luck for the coming season and go and do one back to your own pages.

Disrecpectful fans and Club, and sincerely hope you miss the top 4 because it will make my season even more than if the Koppites finish above us

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed025, do you think we will do a Liverpool?

Sydney! {Ed025's Note - in what way sid?...do you mean tell him hes staying and he is just not for sale at any price?....no mate, if the price is right, he will go..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed025, I meant the decline ;)

Sydney! {Ed025's Note - love it syd..

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with b-wise, its not about what other clubs value him at its what we value him at, when the player had a release clause our hands were tied if a club chose to activate it, now that's gone we are back in control again and can basically name our price

Agree0 Disagree0

The point his we value him higher than u lot and if you don't want to pay then that's fine because is value will increase so and also if you don't value him at that amount then considering you want him what does that say about the value of your overrated midfielders cleverly carrick, if you had fellaini you would not sell for under 25m so stop trying to get him on the cheap

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope arsenal make a bid and we sell to them the lad is very predictable teams have his measure ie west brom. now how nullify his play the last match I can remember having a great game was against man u we need someone who offers more we need to freashen up our midfield when gibson doesn't play were so predctable its not true we have creating chances for jelovic worried blue tom efc

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 06:52:11
It is no good everyone on here saying Felli worth at least 24m or 30m etc. if nobody is willing to pay that then he ain't worth it. AW thought about it and decided he wasn't worth it, nobody else rushed to pay the buy out clause. As good as he is, is he best suited to the RM style of short, quick passes? Answer - NO! We have held out for best offer and this (hopefully) gives us time to get a replacement and hopefully a couple more in. McCarthy will come in for 12m, add to that Piatti (?) for 1.75, Toby for 6 and Moses on loan and I will be happy.
Ps taxi for Vic

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So if they don't want to pay it then don't sell him. People forget he was brilliant for us lst season. All this talk is bound to effect his game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but the price of an asset is set buy the seller not the buyer so if EFC think he is worth £30m then he is worth £30m it does not matter what the buyer wants to pay if the seller won't lower his price then he can't buy the asset. Unless the seller is forced to sell due to external pressures what ever they may be then they set the fee. As far as I have been led to believe EFC do not need to sell any player and therefore can set the price to whatever the wish.
