Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

28 Aug 2011 20:23:48
Well, everton won't sell any player (arteta, jags and fellaini will stay) but won't buy anyone.
However, we have to look ahead with players like barkley (for the moment he is doing good perfomances), rodwell, gueye and vellios.
In my opinion, vellios has a good skills and good eye for goal, we have to give more opportunities for the greek striker.
So that, we haven't bought any player this summer but after all we have better players than some epl teams, the only thing we need is a good striker (vellios?) and some luck with injuries. Probably we get a good position this year. We will see. COYB.
a Barça and Everton fan.

We have good players, but we just lack in attacking areas. I would like to see velios get a chance

I think we can challenge for 6th place,i really hope we can get a couple of loans in and get saha and coleman back for the villa game {Ed025's Note - 6th is a long way off at the moment..

Agree0 Disagree0

I would put everton at 9th or 10th, if our form improves. Spurs won't get 6th
I think barkley will get better and better this season. It is exciting watching him develop {Ed025's Note - he can become a great player...and your league placing is very realistic....good post

Agree0 Disagree0

9th or 10th is realistic, we always finish strong as well, so we might have a chance of a good cup run,if our main players stay fit. {Ed025's Note - but has it now come to the point where we are happy with 9th or 10th...4th best record of all time....answers on a postcard....

Agree0 Disagree0

We are never happy with 9th or 10th, but you have to be realistic

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see us finishing above spurs and the likes of sunderland and bolton, so 7th is realistic {Ed025's Note - you have more faith than me..

Agree0 Disagree0

Think its a bit early to be making prediction on league places as shown by januarys late twists and turns. Man utd were awesome against a very poor arsenal team however it's worth noting arsenal still opened up there young and inexperienced back line very easy. There goalkeeper is open to mistake and there central midfield did not contribute to anything. Rooney nani and young with a little help from Evra did the damage. Can't play like that every week or they will get found out

Do you know what, I wish it was 5 past eleven pm on the 31st August and the window was closed and then we could just get on with supporting the blues and the players we have would all know where they stood and all this talk and rumour would just be gone. I look forward to every transfer window and yes I will be watching right up until the last minute , just in case. But right now with all this negativity and speculation about who we should but and sell is doing my head in. Blue till I die COYB

if everton swap arteta for bednetner it is a disgrace ino were desperate for a striker but this is not the right solution.

i dont see why we dont go for someone like chamackh who is out of favor at arsenal but proeved at the start of last season he's got it in him to score

What we have we have. Thats it let's get on and support the team no matter we think of Kenwright and Moyes's tactics sometimes there is nothing we can do.

It does make me laugh Arsenal get thumped 8 2 to man utd and there excuse was due to having eight players out I have no sympathy they have big squads look at the kids teams they put out. Everton have had worse look than any one with injuries you never saw us lose 8 2 hah ha ha how the mighty fall. Stick Bendtner up yor arse Arsene

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Compounded by the fact it was all Rooney nani and young. 3 players to do that says a lot for arsenals mental attitude. Think players will look at that and think twice about joining them. Jags might think twice before jumping on to a sinking ship.

If we are to bring in a couple of players on loan, who could we bring in and who should we bring in. I would like to see Shaun Wright-Phillips and Sturidge. But dont see Chelsea letting Sturidge go out on loan till at least Jan. Dont want Bendtner. Not many others available on loan. Any one got any ideas on who we could get, in the realistic world that is.

Tim Howard, baines, fellaini, barkley, jags, coleman, cahill, distan and arteta, all top players and reasons for blues to be optimistic for this season. Top 10 again. COYB

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Top ten is being optimistic? I'd say having watched north London destroyed yesterday. 5th place is optimistic 7th realistic. 10th and were on the decline. {Ed025's Note - i would bite your hand off for 10th, the way we played against blackburn!..

Big concerns after yesterdays game. The defence bar Baines was a shambles. Dont no whats wrong with Jagielka looks like a complete nervous wreck at the moment constantly making big mistakes. Maybe should be taking out for a couples of games. Distin and Neville were not much better yesterday. Fellaini is clearly not fit and is struggling to get around the pitch and offering us very little. Barkley looked jaded, Arteta was very quiet. Osman struggling for form. Heitinga needs to go into the back four for a couple of games does not offer much in the middle. Anichebi is out of his depth at this level as a striker. Next game I would play: GK Howard, RB Hibbert, LB Baines, CB Distin CB Heitinga, CM Neville, CM Rodwell, RW Arteta LW Osman and if fit CF Saha CF Beckford. Subs Mucha,Jagielka,Fellaini,Anichebi, Billy,Cahill, and Vellios. Would give Barkley a break. What do think? {Ed025's Note - they are not going to admit it..but the shambles that is our boardroom, have had a negative effect on the team..morale, and confidence are at an all time low..and the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off..

Believable4 Unbelievable1

We will get things right, it is early days, we have top players with promising youngsters coming through. We could also have saha and coleman back for the villa game

Agree0 Disagree0

Jags head has been turned we should sell him and get Dann. I would play Jonny and Distin and keep Dann on the bench. If he's not going to play Beckford from the start let him go as well. Weve missed out on Long. Maybe go for Maynard and Macheda on loan, or even Wellbeck. We need creativity especially about the rumours that are building about are little Spaniard. If he goes that means in 8mths weve lost him and Pienar.I dont see were going to get any kind of creativity for our crap strikers. Unless we go cap in hand to city who have Rocky (Passed it), Bellamy (Psycho), SWP (I dont rate), Milner (Cant get a game), and Johnson (Yes Please). The team are really affected about all the stuff in the press. The transfer buisness has wrecked my summer. BK you have let us down big time.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance of Welbeck, starting and scoring every game for United. Macheda not good enough scored a couple of goals last season and then nothing.

I trust moyes to get things right. He has consistently got the blues in the top 7 and has a good record of signing good players and turning them into top players. He is a great manager and remember we are only 2 games in, there is plenty of time for improvement. {Ed025's Note - i am a moyes fan...but at the moment his body language is awful!..i know we are all a bit down, with the financial situation at the club, but in the interviews he has given, he looks as though he has the weight of the world on his shoulders...as me mam used to say...he would not smile if he seen a chair walk!..come on david, show us you are up for the battle, and put that smile back on your face..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Moyes is a passionate manager and he always gets the best out of the players. If we can keep the injuries at bay this season i think we can do well. Results not performances are the most important thing, the performances will pick up. {Ed025's Note - they will have to!

Agree0 Disagree0

Can you see us getting any loans, swaps or free transfers before the window ends ed? {Ed025's Note - i think we may do a bit of business on the final day...when other clubs have set their stalls out. a loan or two is the best we can hope for..

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you rate bendtner ed? {Ed025's Note - no mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to agree with you Ed, Moyes body language is awful, seems like a man who wants out. Usually shouts and roars none of that at the game yesterday and considering how we were playing should have been horse at the end of the game. In the interview complained about the penalties but even without the penalties we were second best all over the pitch. Board is a complete joke but Moyes needs to try and instill some confidence in the team but first I think someone needs to instill confidence back into moyes. Looks like he has lost interest. This international break has come at the right time for us. Window will be closed when we return hopefully get a couple of loans in to boost Moyes and the team, COYB.

playing 451 is bad enough but why wasnt osman on the right with barkley in the attacking mid role ? an anichebe is a waste of time an moyes is now doin my head in {Ed025's Note - everyone wants us to play 4-4-2 except moysie..we dont have a forward who looks comfortable in the lone striker role i cant believe he does,nt see it!..

Believable1 Unbelievable2

I know this may be an unpopular comment but I thought Anichebe played quite well yesterday.
He is the only current forward who can actually hold the ball up and bring the rest of the team into play.
He should have had a penalty earlier on in the game when he was blatently pushed off the ball by Samba.
I am happy to play 4 5 1 as it appeared yesterday because to me it was more 4 2 3 1.
When Cahill starts it is definately 4 5 1 and no fluidity or flexibility.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree Moyes is doing my head in too

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with 2nd comment,i think we should play anichebe BUT with another striker, he is the only striker who can hold the ball up BUT he can't score, so with anichebe upfront playing along side either beckford or saha im convinced we would score more
Also agree that the system yesturday wasn't 4-5-1, it was 4-2-3-1 fellaini and heitinga holding with osman, arteta and barkley getting forward with anichebe holding it up. When cahill plays it's definitely 4-5-1

Agree0 Disagree0

Player a striker that cant score wot u on about...got to sell johnny look at yest game he was walkin back wen we lost the ball he doesnt want to be ere very overated player.. {Ed025's Note - johnny for me...is a centre back, and a damn good one!...he does not have the creative talent for midfield, but is a very competent defender..

Blackburn destroyed us And all u and saying we battered qpr last week must of been watching different game So what we had a few good chances but qpr a newly promoted side for long periods of the game outplayed us

Believable3 Unbelievable1

The points are all that matters, we have two wins in a row and we will get better. We have class players and things just need to gel. We were playing good football towards the end of last season with the same players and we are capable of going on a good run and finishing in the top half again {Ed025's Note - i would like to think so..

Agree0 Disagree0

Time to Gel?

Same bunch of players from last season, Time to Gel?

We have been destroyed by 2 so called lesser teams

Every Everton fan who knows anything about this Beutiful game of ours knows that We need a striker and a out and out winger

David Moyes is annoying a lot of fans and as good as he is at picking cheap players, some of his decisions make me a lot of us want to punch walls after games.

BK IS THE CAUSE OF THIS CLUBS PROBLEMS

Agree0 Disagree0

And the points our not all that matter, when our fans our travelling home and away and paying money to watch performances like this.

As beloved fan its a disgrace to see our team play as bad as they our

Our fans our slowly becoming deluded, get a grip, we our a joke of a club at minute

Slow starts?

ppl saying we put our slow start to bed by a lucky win?

we have started slow still and so what if we our in top half, guaranteed with displays like we started with we will be lucky to survive this year

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah sure we were battered by Blackburn yesterday but to say we did not batter QPR is just been foolish. They had 2 shots in the whole game the goal and 1 wide and that was it. We had 7 shots on target and 7 wides so anyone thinks we did not deserve 3 points against QPR needs their heads tested or else needs to go to specsavers. Just like QPR robbed us we robbed Blackburn you dont always get what you deserve in football. {Ed025's Note - well said my friend...swings and roundabouts..

Arsenal offering to take Arteta with Bendtner coming to Goodison what do people think?

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Arteta is a legend and he will come good this season, bendtner is not good enough and will probably move abroad

Agree0 Disagree0

Arteta is a great player and bendtner is average,so it is a no from me

Agree0 Disagree0

Sturridge on loan would be my ideal signing with maybe wright phillips as well

Agree0 Disagree0

Arteta is our top scorer this season

3 points is 3 points The performance was poor but we stuck together against a team that were fighting to the death as they have lost there first two games.
I think going into the international break this win will be a big relief for the player's and maybe when there back there will be a bit more confidence and the performances will be raised, that first win is out of the way now so everyone can relax a bit

Believable2 Unbelievable0

It was a good battling performance today,we deserved the 3 points against QPR and didn't get them so it was our turn to have a bit of luck today.COYB

Agree0 Disagree0

The 3 points is the most important thing and with 2 wins in a row, things are looking better. We have 2 winnable home games coming up and i am confident of a top half finish again this season

I am really really concerned for our season, I have never known us to play such abysmal football since harvey & walker were managers, although we won today... by a pure fluke (yes, we all need luck now and again but we can't rely on luck) we have to make our own luck, we have been hopeless over the last 6 games as a whole, and what is worse there are no signs of improvement, the only good point i can pick out has been Barkley, maybe I am being a bit too dispondent and the pint glass is deffo looking half empty.....I think we will need nothing short of devine intervention for us to stay in the top 10 by the end of the season the way we are playing

Believable2 Unbelievable1

We can come in the top half of the table again. We have a lot of quality players that will come good for us and i think barkley, velios and gueye will make an impression this season
