Everton striker apostolos vellios has signed for Blackpool on loan for the rest of the season ed do u think anyone else will go out on loan

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im just back from holiday adam and had not heard that mate, i would be surprised if anyone else went mate..

Hope to bury
Pennington and Lundstram to Leyton Orient. All loans

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you enjoy your holiday Ed? :)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it was hard work to be honest QB, venice is very tiring as you have to walk everywhere, and there are millions of bridges to scale!, its beautiful but i wont be returning any time soon mate..

My parents went there years ago, and came back to their hotel to find they'd been robbed. It was a slightly off putting reveiw. Tbf I still wouldn't mind going.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you need to be an editor to afford to go mate.. :)

Glad to see vellios has come back down to earth and listened to martinez. Hopefully he'll shine for blackpool for the remainder of the season and come back ready to contribute to our squad depth with games and experience under his belt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol, giz a job then Ed :P

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - there is a long queue QB, you are behind wayne rooney, paul mcartney, and rupert murdoch mate..... :)

I agree Craig. It's almost as if he saw himself better than a loan elsewhere. I still think he has a part to play at Goodison next season if we have European football. He now has an opportunity to prove himself in a poor Blackpool side and come back stronger and with more confidence next season.

Hi lads, haven't been on in a while, but your luck was going to run out at some point ay? Remember I did an overrated and underrated bpl 11, 2 teams in any formation, whatever, i'm bored, so in doing a world overrated 11, give your team lads just for something to do, here goes:overrated: GK: Victor Valdes-oh how I despise this man, poor goalkeeper, fails with simple saves and some people honestly rank him as one of the best in the world, crap. RB: Dani Alves-okay let me just start by saying yes I do hate barca but this fella is just so overrated, cannot defend like really cannot defend, great going forward but is just dreadful going back, phillip lahm is much better. CB: Sergio Ramos-this player just irritates me, just fouls people, reading of the game is nothing special and it doesn't take much to get past him, always getting sent off and is just okay at best. CB: Rio Ferdinand-i will defend this till the day I die, rio ferdinand has never been good, he is good on the ball and had pace about 10 years ago, one of the best defenders in the world? Hell no, always at fault for goals and just fouls people, anton ferdinand is a better centre half I promise you, rio is just poor. LB: Jordi Alba-i was stuck between him and marcelo, both are quite annoying, but alba is in because he has a horrible face and you got to love marcelos hair, anyhow, jordie alba is, in many peoples eyes, the best left back in the world, after seeing him at fault for all of bayerns goals last year I startes watching more of him and having seen him ripped apart by lucas moura and arjen robben, twice, it has made me realise what a fraud he is, good going forward, woeful defensively and shows how far you can come with a decent euro 2012 against some quite poor sides, he dives aswell, grrr. CDM: Sergio Busquets-he is the player I despise most in this team, having watched him for four years now all I can say is wow, by god is he overrated, having a huge lack of pace or strength you have to make uo for it by being ruthless, this guy not only dives, but prances around the pitch, passing sideways and gets thoughtbof as of the best midfielders in the world, why? He doesn't actually do anything, 'his reading of the game is so good!', no its not, I've seen well over 30 odd games which have just passed him by and he has never sone ANYTHING to impress me. CDM: Sami Khedira-yet another from la liga, don't worry, there is only one left after this guy, khedira strikes me as, well, someone wjo doesn't have a scooby doo what is happening, he works hard but not much else, he's clumsy on the ball, he's slow and in terms of defending, he's nothing special, how he gets ranked by some people as, well world class is beyond me. RW: Gareth Bale-i watched him against an ageing inter milan side with an average age of about 34, ibsaw him effortlessly sprint past an already finished maicon and people went wild, he then scored some nice goals against norwich and west ham, both of which shouldn't of went in if the players in front of him would of, you know, moved, what I have noticed is if you take away his pace what does he do, he kicks it up to the corner flag and chases it, beating the defender because hebknows he is faster, match him up against a pacy full back and he can't do jack sh*t, I watched real play getafe and their left back was rather fast and each time bale tried beating him for pace the defender had him in his pocket, bale, somehow, went to real for 86 million, 6 million more than teammate cristiano ronaldo, whom he is not fit to tie ronaldos laces, last night, real were beaten 2-1 by sevilla, another bale peroformance where if he can't outpace the full back, he is out of the game, he missed about 5 really good chances because hevwas greedy, in the prem he was given too much respect and should of been closed doelwn if the players he went up against possesed a pair, zidane labelled him the best player in the world, don't worry, he said the same about beckham last year and gerrard a couple of years ago, doesn't take much to pull the wool over his eyes. CAM: Kevin Prince Boateng-remember him at portsmouth? Yeah, well since moving to ac milan he has gained quite a few fans, some say he is top class and same now at schalke, let me think, really? He is injured more than crash test dummy's and isn't all that good, decent, nowhere near top class. LM: Jesus Navas-he has it all, good lucks, pretty blue eyes and his name is jesus, well, if he is the footballing incarnation of christ himself then i'm shocked because, by god, he is so friggin one dimensional, he always goes on the outside, never changes his play style and is very weak, reminds me of antonio valencia pre leg break, except valencia was strong and could cross the ball, navas, cannot, some calling him a bargain buy need to really look, because he is not all that. ST: Neymar-i know, I lied, I couldn't resist putting in the justin bieber of football, he does it all, dives, blows kisses at players, frustrates people, misses sitters and thinks he is ronaldinho, you're not ronaldinho mate, you're friggin neymar, paintbrush head, really some people said he was the best talent on earth, some people saying he would be better than ronaldo and messi, no, just, no, he has a few tricks and is quick, well done, so is anthony pilkington, don't mean you are special, after missin a sitter against england, being in many players back pockets throughout la liga, neymars overrated um ness is starting to show to more people notb buying into the hype of this guy, good on them, he isn't that good, in fact, he shouldn't be in the brazil team at all, shame he didn't come to the prem, would of been nice to see him flop in england as he would of ended up at some second rate club after 2 seasons, but we can't all have what we want, there's my opinion, what's yours? Bit of fun as I have no beers left and i'm bored out my tree and ed please post on the banter site as people cannot reply on the teams page

Has anyone else seen the "Why Everton are out of order for signing so many loan players" fans blog on the metro website? This lad must have been crying his eyes out after the game Tuesday night. He really can't stand his team getting beat and some have the nerve to call us blues bitter!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I haven't seen the blog. But I do think it is a joke that Premier League teams are allowed to loan players in.

I can understand lower league teams getting players, but no way should Prem teams.

That rule needs to be looked at by the FA and get rid of it.

Having said that, if it is there, what is the problem using it?

Agree0 Disagree0

I did sign in before posting the OP but my name never appeared. Anyway, I agree Mike that the current system isn't great even though we have benefited from it this year.
The only loan deals within the top flight should be emergency goal keepers but you can't blame clubs from taking advantage and playing by the rules

Agree0 Disagree0

Was an absolute joke, he was basically saying it wasn't fair because of the quality of our loanees and how vital they were to us, such a twonk

Agree0 Disagree0

If less wealthy Premier League clubs (like Everton) are not allowed to loan players in future that they couldn't otherwise afford to buy, then surely the so-called wealthy clubs shouldn't be allowed to run with massive debts in order to buy players. Because the big-spending clubs might miss out on European (Champions League) qualification they - and their propagandists in the press - are having a go at Everton for successfully using the permitted loan system to maximise their chances of success. They don't like it up 'em, Captain Mainwaring!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - well said gabriel, i totally agree mate..

28 Mar 2014 00:07:47
I agree gabriel. On top of that, preventing players from going on loan in the top flight is blocking their development into a top flight player. Personally I think that the championship is a hard league but until a player hits top flight, they cannot develop. I'm sure there are exceptions but overall I think this has been proven by the types of money spent on championship level players in the past

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Mar 2014 17:37:33
I read that and its kind of hypocritical because they have two loanees and we have four but traore only played one game and that was in the fa cup, its just a case of our loanees are better than theirs and the author of that was clearly very upset after we embarresed the club that is so evidently in a different league to us and I find it funny that pardew had the nerve to say that about us

Agree0 Disagree0

Minato you're right. Everton haven't broken any rules this season and Pardew is again showing his lack of class because Roberto signed better loan deals than he did. A bit like Red rubbish supporters coming on here earlier this season complaining because Lukaku, Barry and Del Boy were better than Moses and Cissokho.

i know we are not renowned for being flag wavers at games unless we are on tour as such but think it would be good to have a catalan flag with a strong message to Roberto in catalan.
Also would be nice to see one for the utd game with a picture of Gollum saying " the deceitful one" or words to that effect
views please lads

27 Mar 2014 13:59:41
It really grips my goat that the press continue to link Ross with strait swap deals with UTD etc. Why would the lad want to take a backward step. It also gives the impression that our
club will just back down to any bid from the so called big 4 teams. But just in case they hadn't noticed we are currently above utd, and we made them pay stupid money for Fellaini! I rest my case

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We should never deal with them again after they thew cheeky bids in for fellaini and baines, joke of a club.anyway moyes would not play barkley when he was here

Agree0 Disagree0

I've also suggested this previously. If UTD are going to disrespect with derisory bids for our players why would we continue doing business with them?
We don't choose to do business with the reds so let's see this continue with Moyes's new club.

Morning all,

after reading a post earlier I decided to have a quick look on the Man U page. it is quite funny to see them going through some turmoil - some of them honestly belive it is thier God given right to win the league! One of them had a moment of clarity and made a point which has struck a chord with me. he said something along the lines of " the glass ceiling associated with Everton over the years has been wrong all along - it was Moyes's glass ceiling". I thnk Roberto is proving this to be the case with the way we have improved. Grateful for what Moyes did when he came, but since his move I have come to hate him and want him to fail after his insulting manner in all his dealings / mentions of us!

COYB!!

Danny P

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree,

moyes's last few seasons with us have been like arsenals recent seasons where the rot has really shown.

he's only been with utd for 9 months and look at them, they won he league last season and should of been in the running this year, not once has moyes believed that he could win it,

the man just isn't a winner maybe in time he might scrape one or two cups but that will be about it for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. Moyes has disrespected our club and deserves everything that is currently coming to him.

Yes I agree Toffee, just imagine the champions league anthem belting out all around Goodison on a midweek night ah sounds like heaven.

Going by Roberto's previous premier league run ins there is a lot to be excited about. The amount of times he pulled Wigan free of danger despite having to beat top six sides is very encouraging. He has proven he has the tunnel vision needed to achieve his goals despite some tricky obstacles.

Finishing strongly is something that Roberto does well. It's going to be tight. But I'm more confident now after our recent run.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we do finish 4th we should get moysie back for the qualifier. He's good with the big games moysie, he always wins them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's now remember Roberto's comments upon taking the job. 'I believe I can take Everton to a Champions League place.' We possibly questioned his prediction at the time (as did every TV pundit when they were taking the p**s) but this is now a possibility and with Arsenal's current predicament looking ever likely, we can finish above them if we push on after the last 3 results. Fulham is a definite win with belief after the tremendous mid week game against Newcastle.
But the cameras are watching come Sunday and if we come a cropper the pundits will be ready to slate our team.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Mar 2014 01:28:56
So despite allegations of Moyes being tapped up by MU and no compensation being payed, how much would they pay us to take him back?
And perhaps Felli back on loan next season? LOL Bainsey you got it right mate!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It does make me laugh. The sheer arrogance at making public the way they approached our manager. With no regard for rules or our club, thinking they are untouchable in every regard.

What are they now?

TOUCHABLE!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd have him back tomorrow, I miss the stabilty that he brought. I would also take Marianne back as I miss his elbows. What joy it brought seeing them getting thrown round.

Please come home moysie. And bring Clevs with you. Clevs needs saving from the sinking ship. #FreeClevs.

Credit to our great football club to have a Memorial to the 96 red fans who lost their lives at Hillsborough, no better way to show the world what a great club we are . I was at the other game as we played Norwich and at times the silence and apprehension as the news filtered through was disturbing.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Jonno I was also at the other semi that day and remember all too clearly the feeling when we we were being crushed with a massive gate at the Everton end. We sent the kids down to the front in our party and didn't see them again until the final whistle. After the news came through from Sheffield, the game became meaningless despite the fact that we beat Norwich to beat them and reach Wembley, but was I glad that we regrouped for the journey back.
So I back your recognition for Everton's memorial for the 96. Simply shows who and what we are despite the banter passed between the 2 clubs.

Nice one Davey
