Anywhere I can watch highlights of this game?

Full game is on the OS I think. It's available on the official EFC app for iPhone so should be on the full site

What a difference a manager makes. Jelly today was much improved from last season and all because he was working in the right areas.

Good movement and much better anticipation mainly because it was up front against the centre backs instead of having to run into the wings to chase down balls and the opposition. His whole attitude was as much better and certainly not a player that looked to want to leave the club.

How great it was though again to see the long hoof eradicated out of our game.

Moyes always went on about ball retention, to see out a game by keeping possession and yet never thought about making the simple pass to the player next to you instead of hitting the front man from the player at the back.

Why do we keep missing a trick in Vossen from Genk. I think he would be a top drawer striker and a good age at 27 me thinks. Wasn't Benteke second behind him for Genk?. Even scored tonight!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Jelle vossen is 24

Agree0 Disagree0

We have only 1 forward but 4 candidates Kone, Jelly, Big Vics, Vellios.

Can anyone please tell me where that kid from barca was today, is he injured? I was at the game today vs Blackburn and was pleasantly supprised by how we played.

Preston blue nose {Ed025's Note - hes not injured mate, he has only just joined up with the squad, and will be seen on the american tour..

OK, I'm no techno whizz kid, but I'd like to warn other Evertonians like me about the internet streams that show the matches.
I really fancied watching the match today so when someone posted that it was on wiziwig & vip box, I thought I'd watch it on one of them. BIG MISTAKE!!
I logged on to vip box & started to follow the instructions to watch the match. That was at 1. 45. It's 5. 40 now & I've just managed to get my laptop working right again! Be warned - this site filled my computer with all sorts of cr*p I didn't ask for. They download loads of stuff & don't even tell you. When you try to uninstall it they feck about with your computer & make it a nightmare to get working right again.
Maybe it's 'cos I'm a bit of a technophobe, but if you're like me I'd advise you to avoid this sites like the plague.
Anyway, good result (now I can get back online!), & good to see Jelly back amongst the goals.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't bother. Just pay for it on Everton TV. It's only £4 individually or the lot for £17. 99 - it might be cheaper now there have been a couple of games.

I managed to watch it on my 51" tele with it plugged into my PC with a really good picture.

It's alright getting sh*tty pictures for free but for the price it's worth just watching it on ETV and less fiddling about.

Agree0 Disagree0

Vip box works just press all x and don't down load anything

Agree0 Disagree0

Download an AdBlocker. Most browsers have a simple add on part, so you don't have to download extra carp, etc. That takes all ads away so when you normally click on an 'x' and have an extra window appear it won't be a problem.

Try it. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Jelavic just scored after 10 mins of coming on as a substitute. I know it's only a friendly, but it's his 1st game back, so that could be a really good sign of a return to form.

let knock moyes brigade - he did us good while he was at the club and its hate moyes - this slamming moyes is like the rs on there ex managers. it was talked for years that he may go to man u - so he has.

We didn't win a trophy and when the opportunity knocked on the door the players got star struck on the couple of occasions and bottled it and our sugar daddy bk isn't actually minted and moyes knew it will be the same.

its like talking about the ex wife when you have a new partner.

BK so bobby do you think that you can manage the club and the same budget as david.
Bobby - yes
BK - welcome to everton

COYB and COYBobby

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He was turned on when he bid for Baines while still technically on the Everton payroll and still our manager. That's what's upset everyone including me.

I can't believe that all these groups/individual billionaires are linked to buying the reds and won't look at us. I know it's all rumours but surely there is somebody out there willing to throw some coin at us

Believable0 Unbelievable0

At the end of the day they have a better stadium and world wide fan base, shame there only average, well notr really

Agree0 Disagree0

It's the stadium mate. Anyone who buys us will have to fork out for a new ground, plus the cost of the club then however many million for the team.

Why have we not looked at Remy from QPR? Gaz {Ed025's Note - because he is overpriced, overrated, and has an attitude gaz..

The whole Rooney thing has had me thinking he wants to move from one of the biggest clubs in the world and I can't see him going to Madrid or Barcelona also psg have bags of cash but just don't see him moving abroad, that leaves the prem well who could afford him City Arsenal Chelsea, I think you can rule city out as he would get crucified movin there and he does not need that in his life now, while he would get some stick moving to Chelsea or Arsenal it would blow over after a while but would utd really sell to there main rivals any of these 2 clubs get him your talking about the difference between winning title and not, the most logical and sensible move would be to come back to everton it makes so much sense family would be happy would not get stick and he would be moving to the club he loves and yes he is a blue apparently the first thing he does when the final whistle goes is finding out how everton got on, one problem we can't afford the wages, he does not want to leave Manchester United to win trophies that's obvious otherwise why leave he needs to enjoy football again so Bk bring him home yes we can't pay his huge wages but let's be fair his marketing value will pay a huge chunk of his wage so we could pay him more than our wage bill currently does and I do think he could raise that cash to buy him may need to sell few fringe players but surely signing Rooney would make a huge step forward and a real fight for champions league place and we know what revenue that can bring, imagine we can get him and keep our players, gamble I know but sometimes you have to, Bk spoke at the funeral yesterday about Mr hickson and his return after being sold let's hope he can bring back one of our own your thoughts Ed {Ed025's Note - i would love him back mate, but this is the real world where cash is king, would any player take a 50% drop in wages?, and even that would smash our wage policy...so nice idea, but in reality i dont think it will happen..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'll repeat myself AGAIN. What do you think it will do to team moral if Rooney comes earning 3/4 times as much as the rest.

Agree0 Disagree0

So you think everyone at utd are on 200k + a week I think not rest my case

Mid preseason assessment.
Everything Martinez says is positive and refreshing its good to hear as are the players who sound fit and raring to go I still think we need to strengthen in CM and the wings but this is the squad as it stands

GK: Howard Robels Springthorpe
RB: Coleman Hibbert Stones
CB: Jagielka Distin Alcaraz Heitinga Duffy
LB: Baines Oviedo Garbutt
CM: Felliani Gibson Osman Ludstrum
AM: Piennar Barkley Naismith
L/RW: Mirallas Delefou Gueye Kennedy
ST: Kone Jelavic Anichebe Vellios

Believable0 Unbelievable0

When its laid out like that its obvious that we need another cm and a striker

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we may need to sell a striker before we buy another one otherwise we have 5 players for 1 place
