Red fan here, fantastic to see our blue brothers giving the Yorkshire police a bit of grief last night, when I heard what was being said it brought tears to my eyes. Just try not to get arrested eh? From all of us across the park thank you, non of us will ever walk alone. Jud.

I actually felt ashamed to be blue.

The fact that your beef is with the South Yorkshire Police and Leeds is under the West Yorkshire Police just goes to show how mindless these people really are.

Ive got my ticket for Southampton Saturday but really dont feel like going now!

Blue Bones

Blue bones, Norman Bettison is in charge of the WYP, that's why we chanted what we did.

The reason it was aimed at the west yorkshire police is because one of the leading officers who covered up hillsborough(cant remember the persons name) is now chief constable of west yorkshire

Agree0 Disagree0

If that's your attitude Jud then I hope and pray that lfc don't get drawn against any of the yorkshire clubs in any other cup competitions this season.
A lot of people have gone to hell and back to get this new report released, get all the publicity it deserves and get a lot of public support for new inquests etc.
The last thing those poor people need now is mindless persons using the hillsborough disaster as a vehicle for mindless violence and disorder that then ruins all that hard work giving the police and politicians ammunition to fire back in any future court case.
Personally I'm ashamed of the actions of those Everton supporters, their actions were bad enough but if your lot jump on the bandwagon as well it really will be a backward step for everyone who is/was truly involved in what happened 23 years ago in sheffield.

(disappointed and) Moody Blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Moody blue, sorry maybe I wasn't clear, it's the fact that people were lending vocal support I was applauding and NOT any violence that may have taken place. I don't condone any kind of violence associated with football. Sorry if I gave anyone the wrong impression. Jud.

Lots of chanting. Justice for the 96, changing statements and being murderers

Some flares let off too

Fluffy01016

Agree0 Disagree0

From my point of view I think some of supporters were out of order chanting murderers to the police on duty in the ground - didn't see what happened outside but clearly frustrations were being vented because of the rubbishe we played on the pitch. rubbish night all round really. Even no food left at half time the catering was garbage!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, you could here all the chanting on the TV and stuff, I do understand us chanting what we did at the police as Bettison is the police constable all, but that's besides the point, police can't turn on fans no matter what abuse they get really

A little story that happened to me today,to cheer you all up after last nights miss hap,......I was at the asda buying a bag of bakers choice for my dog,while at the check-out line a woman behind me asked if I had a dog....why else would I be buying dog food RIGHT??,...so on impulse I told her no,I didn't have a dog,I was starting the bakers diet again,and that I probably shouldn't because last time I ended up in hospital,but that I'd lost 50 pounds by the time I'd woken up,with tubes coming out of most of my holes and ivs in both arms,I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet,and all you had to do is load your pockets with bakers nuggets and simply eat one or two when hungry,and am going to try it again,...horrified she asked if I ended up in hospital because the dog food poisoned me,I told her no I stepped of a Kerb to smell a poodles arse and a car hit me,........tristen {Ed013's Note - Excellent, your welcome to add to the jokes page}

Im willing to give some of the fringe players a second chance but, for me at least, magaye guaye has used up all his second chances. His none appearance, appearance, in last seasons semi was enough to convince me that he was not good enough, last night just confirmed my opinion

Believable6 Unbelievable4

To be fair to Gueye, cant seem to recall any Everton payer besides Jelavic showing up for that Semi. In his defence, he was a very important player for us in the Quarter final replay against Sunderland and set up Jelavics goal.

Although, he was really poor last night, disappointing to see, you would think the fringe players would be looking to grasp their chance in order to get into contention of a first team place.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wasn't he recommended to DM by former RS manager Gerard Houllier ? Says it all really. Mission accomplished Mr Houllier. Worst player to put on a royal blue shirt in my 30 yrs of watching Everton bar none.

I've just seen the mobile phone footage on the Echo site of so called Everton fans at Leeds last night.
What a bunch of absolute bell**ds! I thought we'd left all that behind us 20 odd years ago and cannot see what was hoped to be achieved by the eejits who caused the trouble.
Everton have a good reputation as away fans which has now been tarnished by these persons who are supposed to be representing our great club.
If that's how you're going to behave at away games then do us a favour and stay at home instead.

Moody Blue {Ed013's Note - Well said mate}

In reply to your post, have you not been antagonised by the police and reacted, having been there and witnessed there brutality am amazed no one was seriously hurt, the everton fans responded to heavy handed tactics and one or two went to far but that's normal in a large crowd,am still proud of the way the majority behaved........Neville bartos

Hey Bartos I was there with my ten year old son and you are talkin out of your backside lad, if you were one of those then hang your head in shame lad, disgrace to all Everton fans, all you small group wanted was a fight, get back to the eighties where you belong, kids were crying because they were scared and it was you lot that started it and not the police.

The chanting for the 96 was an embarassment to all fans especially the poor people who died and their families

Absolute embarassment to football and our great club

Think you miss read my post jimbo, the majority behaved themselves,a small few got carried away,as is normal in a strong away following with vast amounts of alcohol consumed and various substances smoked and sniffed as witnessed by myself some ppl let themselves down and the club, but if you think it was like the bad old times of the eighties your guilty of exaggerating ..........Neville bartos

David Moyes said after swansea he would pay to watch that performance, I take it after last nights efforts it means he would want paying to watch that.
There is no point just slagging certain players off and saying they are carp they are not bad players I just think to many players had a bad day at the office and we gave leeds the momentum by the early goal there fans got behind them the players got stuck in and played well (the dogs of war like). The only worrying thing for me is I hope we are not going to get bullied by teams this season not only last night but at times against newcastle in the 2nd half. I do think we need to look at replacing mucha though every defence needs a keeper that gives confidence, when a corner comes in any keeper should take the ball in 6yd box. I think coleman is getting the same treatment as hibbert and osman used to get from fans he played against swansea and nobody complained but because we get beat people look for a scapegoat. I thought Oviedo did ok and looks like he will be a good player once settled in more. One of the biggest things that impressed me last night was the work rate and attitude of Mirrallas and Anichebe both chasing back although neither had much luck going forward. I thought Fellanie played ok but at times couldnt be bothered at one time in the 2nd half leeds broke into a counter attack and he just stopped and had no desire to get back that is not acceptable he may be world class when he tries and may get away with it at times. I feel sorry for junior because I think he was given his oppurtunity but I think moyes would agree in hindsight it was the wrong game and maybe to physical and bad conditions. Naismith and geuye as I said had bad days at the office which is sad because they are 2 players who are waiting for their chance to shine. Maybe its a good thing come the end of season yes we all would have liked to win a trophy and go to wembeley again but it gives the players a kick up the backside and hopefully are league form can carry on and also the fa cup. Maybe moyes has learnt a lesson himself play best 11 first then bring on fringe players once game won beacause wins breathes confidence

That last night was a terrible performance, didn't match them in effort or skill and they deserved to win, but it confirmed what most of us thought, that we might have a good team but we have no squad, junior is way off 1st team football, and mucha, god help us if howard is injured, all we can hope is we stay injury free, and not get to many suspensions till jan, when hopefully moyes will get some money and get a couple of midfielders in,and give us some strength in depth, weve done ok so far this season I hope last night doesn't bring it to a stop it was a bad night and moyes has to take the blame for playing players who are not good enough.
Ste c

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I agree it was a poor performance but the thing that stood out for the change in formation it looked like we were playing a 442 not 4411, moving felli back to cm seemed to make a big difference in the way we played. I also thought we missed the graft that ossie/neville/gibson put in, and for me putting junior as felli's partner did not realy work. On the flanks we did look weak but then the guys have not really had much game time together so that was not unexpected. I dont think its the end of the world and I do feel we could cope with a couple of injuries and still play well enough to get reasonable results but would like to see some additions in jan at cm and rb. Still looking forward to smashing the saints COYB

After last night we have learnt that if we get injuries in certain places we will be goosed, yes we played bad but at least now we can concentrate on the league until the f.a cup in jan and i would rather us finish top 6 and get into europe than win the capital one what ever it is, well done to leeds you played really well last night, well done to all the everton fans on here for not blaming the ref for us getting beat { like a team across the park allways does lol} and realising it was the team, well boys and girls lets have a really good go at finishing high in the league.

southampton played last night as well and won so they can play midweek.. and thats are next game but what is point of playing in europe etc if we cant play 2 games in week on only the league cup odd occasion... blood some players but dont start match with heart of team ripped out ..and please mr moyes have a look at quality of magaye guaye .coleman .junior.mucha.and they should never be on the pitch at the same time..tp

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Agree but leeds thmselves had 6 first teamers out and fair play to them they deserved it

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont like Mucha, never have... but the fact that anyone is throwing blame in his direction for last night is a good indicator that all of these reactions are just emotional

neither goal was his fault and if anything he made a great save to keep us in it

do i think he should be replaced? yes... but he wasnt even close to being at fault last night.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not about muchas form .but he did not marshall his defence like howard would its not the place and time to rest your no 1 ..tp..

Pretty poor tonight. Annoyed with the attitude of some players in the first half. Looked like a couple of them weren't interested!
Kind of showed how important the likes of Pienaar, Baines and Osman are. Without them 3 there is no creativity or flow to our attacking game.
Oh well, 3 points now on Saturday, keep our league form going!!
Saw a few people having a go at players! I hate that lads, win, lose or draw were Everton and support the lads.
I was annoyed at certain players in the 1st half, mainly there attitude but I would never mention there names. Just support the team, starting Saturday!!

West Brom v Everton - 2-0 - No Johnny
Everton v Newcastle - 2-2 - No Johnny
Swansea v Everton - 3-0 - Johnny Plays
Leeds v Everton - 2-1 - Johnny Plays but Moyes makes 6 changes including putting the equivalent of an open net in goal.

Sorry but im a big fan of Johnny, he was the only player last night who started playing Leeds at their own 'Physical' game.

Naismith. Hes got pace but I dont see Premiership quality.

Oviedo gave a good effort but put in some wild crosses and therfore wasted opportunities.

Where was Gueye actually playing?

Junior far to small and inexperienced for a physical side like Leeds

Mirralas looked good but we couldnt get it to him enough.

Vic had a few good chances but just fell down at the slightest challenge. Big lad like him should be looking for the back of the net not for a penalty.

Fellaini perked up second half. Obviously prefers playing up field.

Oh well, lets put it behind us and move on to Saturday.

Bad day at the office!
Certain senior players need to re-focus on the basics, for instance you cannot defend against an on coming forward square on or switch off by leaving opposing players unmarked on the edge of the box.
Also, I felt for Junior who received some awful passes from his team mates.
