Think Moyes has got it right. It's no time to play the kids when you're in the relegation zone - that's when you want your experienced players who can grind out a result. I expect the same sort of team next time out but when we reach relative safety, I think we will see him using the likes of Velios, Gueye and Barkley a lot more. {Ed025's Note - not a bad shout that mate..

Another 3 points and now were 8th looks so much better! But the performances need to improve! Too many long balls if we do that against stoke then we have no chance! We look good when we pass the ball about then knock it out wide for baines, bily and coleman to cross, great cross by bily for first goal! Good play from cahill to keep the ball in play for the second goal! Very happy with the win just want to see us playing some good passing football aswell! Coyb!

great result, vellios shining again, just need that attacking midfield player that converts defence to attack, COYB

REMEMBER we were only playing against 10 men!

Nevertheless I thought they did well to try and tire those ten men out. They didn't just go straight at it expecting to win just because it was 11 vs 10

I asked a question on here yesterday and got one reply, I'm pretty sure it was off a kopite, but if it wasn't then why are some blues so negative, sometimes it's best not to comment. For a change why don't they get behind the club and stop moaning, be glad for what we got. I like most blues would like to believe a takeover will happen. If it does the ones who keep saying it won't will still not be happy. If you don't like our club go over Stanley park to the glory hunters,
Your born a blue you choose to be a red

Rooney went and it saved us to the best part of 27m. end of! as far as a takeover goes, im almost certain that something will happen before the start of next season, there has been real rumors and more media sorces than weve ever had regarding a takeover so i believe something will happen

I don't understand why people think a takeover would be the answer to Evertons prayers. Very soon we will only be able to spend what we earn. Isn't that what we do now? All a takeover will do is stablize the club and pay off any debt, which is a good thing, obviously.
But anyone who thinks we are going to be the next Man City, spending 100m, is dreaming, cause we won't be allowed to. We need to increase the profile of the club abroad to increase revenue. Hopefiully investment will help do that too. Sorry to be a doom and gloom merchant but we must be realistic. I just fear that certain other clubs are already cornering the market in Asia, America etc, so it will be tough to increase revenue to give us the spending power we crave.

As a new Evertonian and Canadian, I would LOVE to promote the club here more. There is a Toronto supporters club. But do any of you have suggestions at getting investment from Everton FC to help market the club over here?

To the original poster: you make some good points. I'm a huge Everton fan and i was born and have lived my entire life in South Africa and Swaziland. From an African continental perspective, if we get enough money to start pushing towards or be in and around Champions League spots support will grow. In Africa, supporting a"small" EPL team is almost unheard of because not all the games are shown here. But Tottenham for example have witnessed massive growth in support from the African market, simply because of their Champions League push and growth. Truth is we don't need mega bucks to be a global team, we need just enough to gradually push further up that table (and I don't mean winning the league).

Not really a rumour, but just to say MOYES with money would be dangerous i reckon.

Bit silly to suggest i know but all the players we've been heavily linked to in the past have gone on to be class.

Moutinho and Defour now both at Porto and now that Rasmus Elm lad we should of signed is now being linked with united and supposively the hottest property in Dutch football at the moment...

Come on Kenwright get a takeover done!!

Dont forget Arshavin...LOL
