i was talkin to a fellow blue about tonites game, I said gibbo was our best mid player and the look he gave me was shock, the passing he has is far better than anyone else in our team, besic and mcarthy are both class but none of them can pass like gibbo.

He was. Was also going to make a comment about how well we play in UEFA but not in the league, but then it became obvious. Just watch/listen to Roberto's after match comments and you will see why. Roberto 'We wanted to make it an open game', yup Roberto but in the Prem you are not allowed to do that. Addendum Garbutt is a better fullback than Baines.

Garbutt is a clone of a young Baines with good delivery. My issue is that a LB's first priority is to de fend solidly.
From what I've seen so far, Garbutt lacks positional sense and tends to jocky more than tackle.
Currently Oviedo offers more both defensively and as an attacking option to either Baines or Garbuttt

Great performance, gibson is boss and garbutt is phenominal, need to get him signed up, wanted celtic but that's out the window. let's keep this form in the europa up #premmartinezout #europamartinezin

I've never been a big fan of Gibson but his last two performances have been quality, always looks to get the ball forward. Just hope he can stay fit for long enough to make an impact this season. Garbutt is getting better each game, makes the odd bad decision but he is just finding his feet. Hope he signs a new deal as he is going to be some player. All we need to do is pretend every game is in Europe, it's the only time we seem to play well

Sorry but Kone flatters to deceive and that one incident in front of goal just goes to show it. Disagree on Mirallas, thought he was back to his best, those runs scare defenders. When we get the ball out then we get our fullbacks hammering down the flanks, that is the Everton we want to see. Roberto needs to carry out analysis with his head not heart. Team on form should be, Garbutt should start in front of Baines, Coleman, Stones, Jags, Besic, McArthy and Gibson in front of Barry, bring on Ossie for Gibson maybe and Mirallas, Naismith, Lukaku. But we know that will not happen as stubbornness will win out over common sense.

Hi Ed's and all, new poster here, nice to be involved. This season has been a real let down domestically but I'm still hoping we can go far in the Europa League. I think we need to avoid the other English teams in the draw. If we can make it to the quarters you never know.
