Is Silva the only name under consideration or is Brands going through a number of candidates. Are we likely to pull off a surprise appointment like Arsenal with Emery. Is Phillip Cocu in the running with his links to Brands or wouldn't PSV allow it.

Don't think Brands would have the cheek to try and bring Cocu even if he was his preferred choice. He wouldn't do that to PSV.

Ed why have my posts regarding a partcular persons views on a particular person not been posted. Tried 5 times now! There is no apparent legitimate, reasonable or logical reason for this.

No it wasnt condescending or nasty. I just pointed out that Ed002 had reservations about Silva and that he didn't think he was the right appointment when we enquired last time. I can't remember the full detail but Ed002 said that Sulva had issues with the clubs he has been at or aomething along the line. Everytime I tried to post it seemed as though I've list more detail haha. I wish I could remember the full detail. don't get me wrong I would get behind him if he were appointed but just think it is a gamble if he has caused problems everywere he has gone as we need a longer term project. Perectly reasonable point in my opinion and couldn't for the life of me couldn't understand why it wasnt losted as I tried 5 times at the least. It was more relevant at the time I first tried but feel stubborn to get it on haha :)

New on here. But have been reading your thoughts for a couple of years. Some good posts and some not so good. The DOF seems better already and not even in charge yet. I have a feeling since January he has been checking things out. Hopefully we can all look forward now. Coyb.

Hi Ed a couple of questions
1, when are next seasons fixtures out?
B, when does the transfer window close, I believe they all voted for it to close when the season starts but is that happening this summer with the World Cup as transfers will no doubt be delayed as a result?
And finally
5, if Bale isn't in the squad for Real Madrid this weekend would a cheeky bid be out the question,

Why is everyone so impatient regarding a new manager being appointed?
I'd rather time was taken to find the correct manager instead of rushing.
Brands doesn't begin until the 1st of June so I'd imagine nothing will happen until then.

For everyone getting impatient because we don't have a new manager yet, please remember we had an overhaul at board level and or new DoF, surely a crucial part of the process of appointing a manager, hasn't actually officially started yet. Come on blues, we've been so negative about everything for so long. Let's stop moaning, let ourselves feel a bit of optimism and support what the club are doing.

They’ve been pretty hot on manager odds in the last couple of weeks. Howe is going under the radar but should be considered IMO. PL experience, plays great football, respected by players and media. what’s the problem?

Apparently there is another dressing room bust up caused by the Royal wedding. Some players preferred disagreed about the choice of wedding dress. Niasse and Tom Davies had a big fight about the style of dress chosen. Fisticuffs and all sorts. honest!

here we go again. more than a week on. other clubs have replaced their managers and we at Everton have announced nothing! Why does it take us so frigging long to sort anything out as a club these days? This needs to be sorted ASAP for the sake of the plans (if there are any) to be put in place for pre-season and the new season!

Press stories
We are going to read much more rubbish in the press both positive and mainly negative until we appoint the new manager and he puts his foot down. For whatever reason we always seem to be the poor relations in press coverage . The rubbish from pundits re Big Sam and 'what do they want' attitude and now the 'mayhem in the dressing room' . Things aren't right we know that but get behind those players wearing blue, and hopefully we'll have someone to get us back fighting on the pitch very soon and not each other!
