iv been a bit disappointed with the players we have been linked with this summer gk (heaton) def (dann, evens )mid (none really ) strikers well none would challenge big rom so we get the same lazy striker for 50% of the season iv said all a long james mac needs a new contract delboy when he eventually signs could become a superstar but has a lot to do but we need people to come in who are going to challenge the first time and am sorry guys but are any of the above going to make any difference to our team mybe delboy but am not sure where we are going backwards more than forward are team is getting on a bit and the mistake we made last season was we only brought besic in the others where already there hence we got found out what you think ed.

The window doesn't open until July 1st does it so nobody can be signed/announced until then? I'm assuming that probably explains why the Cleverly and Deffoblue deal are signed but not announced and why no press conference etc has been called.
The Barca president vote could also possibly play into the Geri deal being delayed, but I doubt it (I live in Barcelona. Word here is he's gone to us, done deal, but the fans are not best pleased about it to be honest. Because of the small fee, and the fact they can't sign anybody else so shouldn't be selling. )

So Del Boys finally signed for 4.5 million, that's a steal!! The deal of the summer for me - he's equally (if not better than Sterling) & cost 45 million less, unbelievable! Cabaye/Moutinhio, decent centre back, Lennon & another decent centre forward (to keep lazy Lukaku on his toes) & top 4 can be a possibility! C.o.y.b!

I like to be positive but I think we're miles off the top 4 these days man city, Man U and Chelsea are leaps and bounds from were we are these days and then there's liverpool and Tottenham aswell, we can't pay or compete and the extra money in the prem has actually widened the gap because they can now pay extra wages. Every team thinks there 3 or 4 quality players away from the next step but in reality we prob need a lot more, let's see how playing first which has been are biggest worry last season

If this isn't a joke I give up. Moan about Deulofeu but think a Jelavic return is the answer? He wouldn't come back for a start anyway because he wouldn't play enough and it'd just be a step backwards, we've got Kone we don't need another forward who won't score or put enough pressure on Rom. Made up Doofy Loofy is back. Just to the people complaining, he wanted to come here, he chose to join us. Better than McGeady (which does not take much). He's young and wants to play for us, Barca have buy back clause as expected. They do it a lot. And I will offer my full support to Tom Cleverley, he's here now and I will support him, my expectations are irrelevant, hope he proves me wrong. Promise to try and improve my behaviour on this site too. Welcome back Gerard Deulofeu. Oh when Everton announce the press conference for him and TC can it be called Tom and Geri.

I'm not bothered by the buy back clause as I can't ever recall Barcelona ever exercising one. If Geri was going to be a player they needed we wouldn't have had a look in. He'll be great for us but not that good that they will need to bring him back.

I for that matter am underwhelmed by our signings so far, happy to be proved wrong, but Del boy, doesn't give me anything to excited about as he was not good enough before, gone to Seville and they deem him not good enough, so why get excited just because he wants to play for us, means FA. Cleverly, is all about what he did for Wigan! right, that's it is it! Well I just hope these are just filling up the squad members and were soon to be involved with some proper signings, ones that moves us on not standstill. I won't hold my breath though, its going to be another long Season.

Chuffed to have signed Deulofeu. Good buy. We desperately needed a winger as we were playin ossie and ross out wide last season. So he was a must.
BUT that's got me Thinking. Why did we sign Cleverley? I think we did it just because he's mates with RM.
We usually play with 3 Mids, 2 defense and 1 attacking.
For defensive mids, we have Barry Jimmy Mac Gibbo and Besic. For CAM, we have Ossie, Ross and Naismith. Of those Barry and Ossie are old, but next season, we will have so many less games because we don't have Europe.
The only reason I can see Cleveley signing is because we are selling one of the others.
But who. Have you heard anything ED? i'm concerned it will be Besic or McCarthy. If am honest, i'd rather have Gibbo leave. He is good when he's fit, but he's never fit.
Just think RM has been a bit willy nilly with this one so to speak.

I think time is up for Gibbo now mate. He's been here for a few seasons and has only played something like 44 games, too many niggling injuries preventing him from playing consistently. If TC is to replace any of the current midfield then I would think it would be at DG's expense

Deulofeu set to be confirmed to day, and the Echo are coming back in with the 'buy back after 2 seasons'. I'd really like to know what Martinez is thinking here, why don'y we just loan him for two years then? And save our money. So if he flops we lose out on the £5m and if he comes good, then they can have him back. and let's be fair - the fee isn't going to rise above £10m for the buy back.
Seems pointless even getting him with a deal like this - nevertheless, positive signing. Just hoping for a CB now

I know it's only early in the window and most rumours are just rumours, but I'm not impressed with some of the players we are being linked with. The likes of N doye an S ameobi, why are we after these players when the likes of Austin, Remy, Payet, konoplyanka, Cabaye to name a few are available. Some have suggested they would rather play here or there but isn't that down to Everton to show some ambition and make them a decent offer and not bottle out because they want a decent wage. We don't want players taking the micky out of the club, but we do want to progress and I just can't see that happening with the bargain basement players. We might just switch on one day an pay the going rate.

Rumours are just rumours they are there to sell papers and get people looking at websites. We don't have a clue who the club wants to sign so why get hung up if Journos report its messi or ameobi. Journos look at our track record and pick who they think is likely to get the most readers. Just wait and see who the club signs you will either be pleased or not as the case may be.
