Rodallega is not the striker we need!

We need someone who can score between 15-20 goals a season

We have already got strikers who can't score goals so why get another one

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Moyes always needs a player who can keep the ball not who can score...but now a days the players who Moyes trust are loosing the ball very cheaply.. we need some player who are creative and can score goal....

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodallega is a quality striker yes he hasn't done that well this season but at a better club than wigan wether that be us or someone else he will get i believe 15 goals a season.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2012 23:30:22
Think people need to stop posting about Rodallega, he is awful 24 goals in 106 games. He doesn't have the ability to be a striker for us. I'd much rather prefer James Beattie. {Ed025's Note - that is taking it a bit far!

Hi Ed, Just watching redsh##e v sh##ty and hoping both could lose, I know thats not possible but I can live in hope.

I will wash afterwards and I have an everton scarf resting on the telly to keep me safe from infection.

Anyway to my observation and I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before but is
Kolorov just a fat Harry Kewell? the
resembalence is freaky?

Also if you agree could this be a chant for when we play them on the 31st?

I'm not that good with IT, but there has to be an evertonion out their who could organise an on line partion, we could present to the FA / PREM, requesting that givern the gross financial mismanagement of our club, with it's questionable off shour loan arrangements, which conseal those directing our affairs. That the current director should all face an examination under the fit and proper perpose test. Please, post this on the main site, as we really do have to do something about these people, who are not just stealing our money but our club

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Get Robert Elstone out... what the hell is he thinking of himself? just behaving like Everton is his father's club... Find a better CEO with better brain and blue heart

Agree0 Disagree0

These people do not sack each other easily - kenwright will not sack his mouthpiece in case elstone then turns around and knifes his boss - spills the beans - blames bill etc - they're not going to turn on each other - we're stuck with them all {Ed001's Note - they all have signed NDAs, none would be able to spill the beans after leaving.}

one of the problems with our club at the moment is the fans, it does my head in that i go to every home game and there is hardly any singing, or chanting, i know we aint got much to sing about but we used to be ther 12th man, the opposition where intimidated by the fans and our players where lifted, we need to do this now, even though times are tough and we have a shocking owner, we still need to get behind the boys who pull on our royal blue jersy, i think this would definantly lift performances from the players and get results :) just an idea like, what do you think? anyone with me? {Ed025's Note - i am

A group of Blues fans, meanwhile, are also looking to improve the atmosphere at home matches by creating an unofficial 'singing area' in the Gwladys Street End, starting with the visit of Fulham on Friday, led by Toffeeman Derek Turnbull.

Degsy said: 'A few of us are looking to bring back more singing and atmosphere at Goodison by encouraging our more vocal supporters, who are prepared to make an effort, to congregate at the back of the Lower Gwladys Street (GT4 initially LL-PP 099-104) for the FA Cup match against Fulham.'

'We have tried this out in the League Cup this season and it showed its potential but to push on and make a difference we need more fans.'

'There is an air of negativity around Goodison at the moment despite talk of the fans getting behind the team on the pitch, and we welcome all fans to this regardless of their views on off the field matters.'

'We see it as a positive way to do our bit to help the team on the pitch.'

Good luck to Derek and all the other bass baritones, we need all the help we can get on Friday.

The Colombia international is out of contract with the Latics at the end of the season and will be available on a free transfer.

Manager Roberto Martinez has already said he would rather keep the 26-year-old and risk losing him for nothing in the summer than cash in on him this month.

Rodallega, who arrived at the DW Stadium from Mexican side Necaxa for £4.5million in 2009, says he does not intend to stay at Wigan beyond the end of his deal.

"My contract at Wigan runs out at the end of May and I hope this situation gets resolved - but I can already say these are my last three months with Wigan," he told Caracol Radio.

The frontman says he is in talks with a number of sides but has refused to name them "out of respect for Wigan", currently rock-bottom of the table.

how many of us lot think maynard would be a good signing and i know people think hes like beckford, fair enough like beckford did decent for us but maynard is younger and will have more time to adjust to the league and develop as a player to.

blue liam

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Still can't understand why we let Beckford go, he scored 10 goals in 40 appearances and when you consider that quite a few of them were as a sub, that wasn't a bad return. Hopefully if we sign Maynard and he has a go, BK won't sacrifice him to feed the bank. (Wavertree Blue) {Ed025's Note - i wanted becks to stay..i just dont think moyes liked him wavo..

Billy's dad summed it up when he said " Moyse buys attacking players and changes them and states they have to defend more, they then stagnate like my son and Arteta". He also never played my son in the position that he scouted him in and which he plays for his national team.

Could not have put it better myself, why buy a player and then try to change them.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

And i suppose billys dad was a manager himself, come on he must be considering he knows it all?? lets face facts billy was lazy, he had no effort or commitment to succeed at everton {Ed025's Note - i agree

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Icant stand moyes he is inad iquite no idea plays players out form as his favourites lacks the bottle to drop out of form players

Agree0 Disagree0

Moysie is basically forced to field the teams we have been playing, we have no creative midfielders and no striker on form so what else could he do with no funds available and a board that sells all our major assets, would you play young players you knew the board would just sell when the top four comes in with a bid, so I can see why he doesnt play the likes of barkley week in week out, otherwise the same will happen with what happened with rooney, another club with more money snatches him, so I say good luck to moysie in trying to get this great club back to its best and lets get behind the team tommorrow night , LETS TAKE THE F*%$£ING ROOF OFF!

What do ye think of playing drenthe in a free role behind striker. An putting baines left mid. Neville left back an coleman right back {Ed025's Note - neville should be left back...in the changing room!

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Hey Ed how come we never try Baines on the left wing, we have struggled many times with Bily etc and like the above poster says Neville could slot in left back, I think Baines would be awesome on the wing, even though he is the best left back in the league

degsybluenose {Ed025's Note - i think he plays like a winger for us degsy..

Agree0 Disagree0

Baines is lb as he is the best overlapping left back in the league which is his greatest strength of running onto the ball and crossing

Think how many free kicks drenthe would win in a free role with his speed he would be dangerous {Ed025's Note - i think, that he thinks he has a free role!

This is what Bilyaletdinov had to say, very true to be fair, but is he serious ? Bily you were useless lad, you were part of the problem.

Russian winger Diniyar Bilyaletdinov has said that his current club Everton are not creative enough and do not play the kind of attacking football he prefers, the UEFA website reported Wednesday.
Bilyaletdinov is close to completing a transfer to Spartak Moscow, ending his 2 1/2 year stint in the English Premier League in search of greater playing time ahead of Euro 2012. Everton have said that they hope to conclude the deal by Thursday.
Bilyaletdinov said he prefers Spartak's "attacking, entertaining football," adding: "That's exactly what Everton have lacked recently. The team also have problems creating chances and converting them."
He said that it had been hard for him to adapt to playing in England.
"A whole load of circumstances were against me. It's not that easy to be a foreign player in England, you have to meet certain requirements. Local players are forgiven certain things, but foreigners aren't."
"But, all in all, I'm satisfied with the English stage of my career. I gained priceless experience from playing in the Premier League. And there were pluses outside football too: During this time I've learned the language, got married and met a lot of interesting people."

Just read that, he was part of the creative problem, he mastered the art of the 5 yard sideways pass and this skill is not easy
also his fantastic ability for losing the ball lack of positional sense and mediocre work rate will go down in everton folklore, thanks Bily and good luck passing on your new skills to your new teamates - wella

Agree0 Disagree0

I think its easy for a player to have a go about tactics etc when leaving but to me bily had plenty of chances,we paid 9m for him so we needed him to play well for us,he was never up to speed and was not up to english football. he might be good in europeon football were the game is slower and more about tecnique but at everton he was a liability on the pitch

Blueboy

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Reckon it's taking up to 48 hours because Bily had to fly to Russia - have a medical - go through paperwork (and apparently the clubs are still not quite finalised on how the cash will be paid).

Rumour is (from my mate who's an agent - although not the agent in this deal) the ruskys want to pay £2.5m up front with 1.5m staged over 2 years with £500k more based on performnace related criteria over the length of his initial contract).

the only way out of the mess is for the fans to buy the club

kenwright cannot undersell the club (for say 80m) because you could just get some gangster or shark buying it and then asset stripping it (players and ground are worth about 120m?) and still selling on for a profit - so the only way to stop that happening and for kenwright to sell at a reasonable price to the 'right buyer' is for him to sell for 50m to a fans consortium - they would not asset strip the club obviously - and bill's legacy would be protected - and he would be loved by the fans

I think its the only way out

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Then who would stump up the money to buy players u rekon the fans can afford to give 10m-20m a year. I don't think so.

Isn't it about time the board came out and defended themselves against the Russian Billionaire who claimed he was going to buy Everton. Would be ideal if we got a half decent striker..just would like someone with a hunger to score, passion to be an everton player and give 110%. I'll get shot down for this but I would never of got rid of beckford especially coz money was so little, not that he was worth much more but for us I think he was worth keeping.he wasn't the best but was always trying, remembering the time he took on the whole of Chelsea mid and def and scored.that took guts(and a bit of luck)but we have no one who would even dream about taking on defenses like that anymore, well or at least give it a go.we need someone fast.I'm kinda hoping that Gaye,Barkley, Denis, drenthe and Rodwell(if we keep him)are going to get a lot more first team football.I really do believe that these are the START of our future.just a couple more of dm's quality bargains and we got a really possotive youthfull side coming through.and there is more coming through the ranks aswell but u get my idea.not all doom and gloom.(keep telling myself this but can't help but be depressed everyday about it).so come on moyes you have the players so do some tactic changes and watch our young side blossom.COYB..

Westy the blue

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Totally agree Westy. We have got some cracking players coming through. The only problem is they don't get played enough. Moyes likes the old guard and seems too stubborn to change it. Ok, there are issues with match fitness etc, but a fully fit Saha is still going to produce less than a Vellios who's not ready for 90 minutes for example... It's all about passion. My point is that we need that desire back in the side and these younger lads have that. Time to get rid of the lazy, sulking moaners (good start with Bily). If the players look like they don't want to be there, then the fans certainly won't want to be there. The knock-on effect is happening now and can only be reversed by the attitude of the players on the pitch. Wholesale changes for me... Inject some life back into the team.

25 Jan 2012 11:21:06
Both FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are owned by their fans - so it seems to be a successful model - why don't we do that?

Who better for Everton fan Kenwright to sell to than the fans?

I went to the Trusteverton website and wasn't that impressed initially - it all seemed a bit woolly about the type of vehicle needed - and their objectives - ot own the club or by Finch Farm etc / or to 'seek extra funding without owning it' etc ? ? ?

I'm also a bit hesitant about groups who do not provide the names of their founders etc.

We need some group that is transparent right from the off - that anyone can join - and be an immediate member of - that can have an immediate legal framework - so that any fan can add money into the pot and receive a fractional membership (depending according to how much they put in? but with a limit to contributions - so we dont just get one or two guys owning it again

We need someone to look into how Barcelona and Real Madrid do it and basically copy the same structure I would have thought

one body that can quickly compile something like half a million names - surely there must be half a million everton fans who'd like to join this group and have a 100 pound stake in the club?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Barca and real can do this as their stadiums generate a lot more money than ours does, so thats what makes it easier to do what they are doing, plus real get millions of pounds from loans from banks but make lots of profits through imaging rights and sales from shirts etc, which are a lot more than evertons worldwide, this must mean that we need a better marketing director to generate more income and to promote EFC in other parts of the world. I was reading this wbsite a couple of months ago and an everton fan who lives in USA says they can get most oher football shirts from around the world but they cant get Everton shirts, this tells you that we are not stretching our wings enough in marketing which is probably costing millions each year.
ewefc

Agree0 Disagree0

They have real business men runing there clubs

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep - post 2 is good - but we're not expecting to compete with barca or real just yet - Barcelona is worth 700 million - manutd a little bit more - so obviously they can generate a lot more income - but if Bill's consortium bought the club for 30 million surely they could be persuaded to sell to a fans consortium for say 50 million?

That's 50,000 fans raising 1000 each
or 500,000 fans raising 100 pounds each

(there's other otions as well)

this way Bill knows that he's not selling to an asset stripping shark - so why not raise this with him and see if he really does want to sell everton to the best buyer?

and lets remember Bill's consortium are not putting any money in to the club each year - they simply bought it - and then have used bank overdrafts and loans to fund the club ever since - so they're not putting any money at all into the club - and they'll get back their loan and recover their up front money - so the fans consortium would not be having to put their hands into pocket every year to fund the club - the club would have to run on a break even basis - but that's what it's doing now.

the biggest problem the club has now is that kenwrights group won't pay any money in - but they also want to sell the club for in excess of 100million - much more than they paid for it - so that profit of maybe 100m is GOING TO THEM - it's money leaving the club - to be spent on yachts etc - if the fans bought it for 50 million Ken and his chums would still make a profit of 20 million but the other 80 million would stay in the club -

Kenwright is reluctant to sell below price in case he sells to a shark (or he just wants to keep it - or he does actually want to make a massive profit on his sale) - but he wouldn't have that shark problem if he sold to a fans consortium

How about it Bill?

I've just sent the following to Bill, remember free will guys if you agree with me then you agree, if you don't then that is your prerogatrive. I am a Moyes and BK fan.

Hi Bill

I am a regular user of the Evertonrumours.co.uk website, basically it is where fellow Evertonians have a chat about rumours and general banter regarding the club. I am writing to just let you know that there are a number of people on this website that for some reason like slamming yourself and Davey Moyes, I would just like to let you know that this is a small minority of the fans who do not know what you guys do for the good of this club, that phone video clip the other week was a disgrace and they should hang their heads in shame for trying to ridicule you and get a reaction, just ignore them next time Bill.

Please keep up the great job that you are all doing with the resources that you have at hand as the majority of us know that blue blood runs through your veins. Bill you have saved this great club from the Johnson era and have managed to run it outstandingly in such a tough environment, I don’t think I need to tell you that gates are falling slightly only due to our recent performances and after a couple of wins they will start to rise again. Finally Moyesee is and will always be the man.

Regards

Multi millionaire kenwright has paid NOTHING into everton since he's been the manin man top banana at EFC - nothing!
And now he and his chums want to sell a club they bought for 30 million for 150 million - after asset stripping it of its best players.

They're taking us for a ride - and if they really loved everton they would ask the fans to form a consortium - raise money - like maybe 80 million - and sell the club to the fans - and run it like these big sanish clubs that are owned by the fans

if he really loves the club - why not sell it to the fans - instead of trying to make a 100 million profit on it?

I can see why he might not want to sell it to some international shark who might asset strip it himself and then sell it before selling it himself at a profit - but if kenwright wants to protect against that happening he could ask for the fans to form a consortium and sell it to them

fans do own some very successful clubs - and it could work - so why not Bill?

Wake up n smell the coffee bill kenwright is killin club done nothin 2 forward the club .agree with u moyes deserves credit but the opinion ofbeveryone outside everton is he shud walk .what does that tell u .the board have hid behind moyes success offering him wen he needed to push on wat nothing .don't blame fans for caring .write something based on fact .everton fans have every write to be angry .bill kenwright has put himself n everton in this position by allowing people to have a major influence on r club ie earl n green who have shown don't care.we r a selling club with no ambition .because of who u tel me

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this BK himself, sounds like your trying to get everyone on kenrights side, are you mad, the bull s*~@er is destroying our great club, hes doing exactly what johnson was doing before he left, I think BK should do the same now and sell the club to someone who has the finances to run a premier league club cos obviously he hasnt, so do the right thing bill and sell instead of dismissing genuine offers from ppl who have money and STOP TELLING LIES!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ur writing that crap from the minority 1 thing is for sure as badly as this club has been run the propaganda machine is certainly running smoothly most of the money must go into that goebbels must be reincarnated from the third reich how many has bill got on the payroll staggering comes to mind p.s all can be seen of u d is ur toenails as the rest is up bills a££e!

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh DDDDDDDD, you poor lonley sick individual, get real, wake and see the light billy liar will destroy our club with people like you supporting him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gates are fallin slightly, more like rapidly, do you even go the games??

Agree0 Disagree0

Blue Union out in force today, most of us are in work

Agree0 Disagree0

What sort of a statement is that "do you go the games". I have had a season ticked for the main stand for the past 25 years so don't question my loyalty pal. Also even if i didn't go the game would I not be entitled to a say, are armchair supporters lower that people who go the games, get real you numpty. Oh yeh I was at the game when Bill came out and 95 percent of the fans cheered when his name was called, you must have been sat on your armchair thinking of ways to slag the team, manager, directors, tea lady off

I dont think it has to be sold to a billionaire a millionaire who knows how to make a business profitable even if that means hes not everton true and true but wants to make money by investing wisely and reinvesting to make more money we wont care thats life but at least then u no there will be a new statium on the cards thru some clever business negotiations and money on new players to get us excited again

all the people slagging the blue union off need to step back and think, kenwright took control of our club when johnson sold a player to please the bank. he was the saviour and for a few years he did a good job, what has happened from wayne rooney onwards is our best players getting sold,27m for rooney who was 18 and the best player at the euro championships, he was replaced by marcus bent, under moyes we got a got a good team together and then when he needed to find money for a couple of players 1 being a top class striker he failed, all he has done in the last few years is sell off our assets,he has done exactly what johnson did .he and the board are taking the piss out of every fan here, no AGM, they release the odd statement trying to justify were the money goes. he sold arteta in the summer and the money has gone. the football this season has been awful we are hardly on the tele now so get no tv revenue.the money for league placings is gonna drop this season as i cant see us getting more than 44 points.the whole board has failed . how he cant sell a club with evertons history is a joke, this board is killing our club by either not selling or providing funds to by good players

This is not a rumour, but im sure as football fans alot of you watched the Cardiff v Palace game last night, One player inparticular caught my eye, the young lad ZAHA! nt sure if he is a winger, striker or an attacking midfielder but he was fast.. skillful, enthusiastic, and lookd just as sharp after 120 mins as he did after 20! Just what we need i think and surely well within our price range coming from Palace!
what you think?

Palace want 10m for him

Agree0 Disagree0

I've been keeping my eye on him too Mickey. He does seem to stand out from the rest. A very tricky player but he simply can't shoot. Something for him to work on, but the last thing we need is another player that can't hit the target. I reckon there will be a lot of other prem clubs looking at him too, so we'd be instantly priced out sadly.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Juan Iturbe has said he wants to go out on loan for the rest of the season as he's not getting enough starts at Porto. Bolton are apparently in the running for him on a loan deal.
