In the car park behind the park end used to be where I took my kids. Most players drive in and then walk past the supporters with kids who want autographs. Some players are brill and sign all who ask. others not so brill. Most will sign a couple. Tim Cahill used to sign and chat and pick kids up for photos etc. great human being!

Thanks for your reply mate, that’s great. How early before kick off should I be getting there for do you reckon?

Hi Brightwell, as degsy said, go to the players entrance which is on the corner of the Park End and Bullens Road (you can't miss it it's protected by barriers and will have other people after autographs there as well) .
My lad was a ball boy a good few years ago now and we were told to be there for 1.30 for a 3.00 kick off so he could meet and greet the players as they came in to register pre match.
Good luck, hope your son gets a book full of autographs.

My advice would be to try and bag a signature from one of Brands signings. My guess is signatures from anyone else may have a limited shelf life of the summer.

Hey Ed 025 have you read the report out yesterday re Mr Moshiri's 3 year era at Everton and now is the time to belatedly act, really good read from when it all started going wrong under Moyes through to the present time, best article I have read yet,

{Ed025's Note - i have not seen it yet GB but i will get around to it soon, we all knew this was not a quick fix but the regression lately has been very worrying, its very important that we secure our safety asap so that we can move forward mate..

Going wrong under Moyes?

It went wrong under Martinez and got worse since, if it knocks Moyes it is a discrace.

I have read this article and it does not say a bad word about Moyes, it says things went wrong in the boardroom. If anything it praises Moyes, the article is about matters at boardroom level not really about the managers.
So Guernsey it is wrong to give the impression that Moyes was at fault.
The article can be found on toffee web.

Sorry lads did not mean to say it was Moyes at fault just that it started while he was at Everton with the board at fault, no offence meant.

It started well before Moyes. When Royle wanted to sign the Icelandic center forward Gudgonson (sorry about spelling) and Peter Johnson refused him the 1.5 mill needed. Royle quit. It went downhill from there. We had just won the FA Cup and Kanchelskis had left Man Utd to join us. But Royle quit in protest and then we plummeted. Moyes brought some stability by signing players cheap and selling on expensively. Moyes' last season we were playing the best football for ages and when he quit we had a great squad. Martinex allowed that squad to age and in fact signed older players and let younger players go. Only Lukaku and Barry saved Martinez. By the time Koeman came in and Lukaku and Barkley buggered off, our squad was old and knackered and without a left side. We are still rebuilding. Things might not be great defensively but at least we are getting younger and more attacking players in. If we can stop leaking goals we will be ok.

Spot on that degsyp but still not sure we will be ok in the future with Silva . time will tell but have to agree with the rest.

Degsyp it was Flo that Joe wanted to sign.

Everton agreed a fee for flo and Eftevaag, the selling club then wanted more due to having to pay a percentage elsewhere, Johnson then pulled the plug saying Everton’s offer was fair.

It tarnishes a bad picture on Johnson but let’s not forget since the cup success, we were struggling the following season, could be wrong but something like 2 wins out of 12 and Royle dropping Southall twice to play Paul Gerrard.

Rumour was Johnson was trying to bring Bobby Robson in, to replace Royle due to the poor results.

In hindsight, poor move by both Royle and Johnson.

Can't see the point in arguing where and when and who other than lessons learnt it is all in that past so in my opinion it's all about getting it right going forward.

I enjoyed most of the Moyes era but, we were definitely up in the top 6/ 7 with our wage bill over that period. Moyes used to play the underdog card well though.
He was responsible for overseeing some of the longest runs against the big teams without a win though.
