If Lookman plays then it changes Seamus's role. As I think he then needs to be more defensively minded when playing behind Lookman.
Which again takes away from Seamus's natural game.
He can't keep bombing on leaving that space in behind.
This is not a criticism of Seamus's just my two penny's worth.

Whichever way you look at it Lookman should be starting over Walcott. If he isn't getting games he knows he can elsewhere and will likely be off in Jan/ Summer.

Imo he's going to be a Top player and is someone we can't afford to loose at any cost.

Not sure if Lookman is the answer but he certainly should be given a start. Walcott is definitely not the answer. He is fast but repeatedly just puts his head down and fails to see open players who have a much better chance of scoring than he does. Even if Lookman stays Brands must be looking to strengthen the right wing position as well as a centre-forward.

Another win, against a team who was happy to park the bus an take a draw, and a draw this would of been last season. Right, the saying you don't change a winning side, but walcott an bernard have not had a good game for weeks now and Lookman has impressed everytime when coming on. Would you change an bring lookman in or stay the same? Personally i would play him an drop bernard.

Not Lookman for me, too many sloppy passes.

Not easy that one mate, think Theo is past his best these days and Lookman still a bit green around the edges, maybe some work to be done in the Jan window.

Lookman for the derby with Walcotts pace off the bench.

Two ways of looking at it with Lookman, actually three ways. Playing Liverpool so for me, is the lad hard enough I. E. mature. Does he feel he has the confidence of the Manager? . Third, why bring him in for Walcot a RW who can run the whole front line, would much rather he came in for Bernard. Having said that, I may be blinkered but we found a way to win again without conceding and from where I sit, they just don't look anything like the Everton of last season and that is some going only 13 games in under new staff.

Lookman looks like he's going to make things happen everytime he's got the ball. As for los8ng the ball, Bernard loses possession himself and Walcott doesn't even get the ball half the time. Lookman tracks back, he may not be the best defensively but he always tries to win the ball back. We struggled to break Cardiff down and Lookman was dancing through them. He's young and inexperienced, being 'a bit green is well worth it at the present time and in the future. I would u leash him at Liverpool myself. The kid would be dying to do well in that game and repay the faith and what faith it would be.

Slightly better tempo second half and 3 hard earned points. Will need to be on our 'A' game if we are to get anything next week against our neighbours as they will be more of an attacking threat than Cardiff.

Next week will be a case of putting the chances away that we get, making that right final pass, I have no doubt we will have a go and not sit back, will be tough as they are playing decent.

As long as we do not freeze and get overwhelmed, I see no reason why we cannot turn up and take it to them.

No injuries or suspensions and a strong bench as well, things are looking good for once going into the Derby.

Gotta give credit where it is due bignev (although it sticks) , they certainly are playing some good stuff and they are blooming rapid. I think in this upcoming game you will see Silva attempting to earn his corn and change his tactics slightly, 5 4 1 or 4 5 1 (my preferred against teams such as Liverpool - got to block off the space) .

We’d have drawn that last season, a wins a win! . Good to see another clean sheet, definitely improved in that area this season.

Couldn't agree more. Finally we have enough options to break down sides. Yes next week will be tough, but for the first time in a long long time I feel we may have the players to give as good as we get. Players who won't get lost or lose there temper in the atmosphere. And in Gomes I think we may just have the best midfielder on the pitch, the guy is immense.

Does anyone know much about our young forward Anthony Gordon? I've seen a couple of articles saying the German big guns are interested so I'm assuming he must be good but I haven't seen him play.

I've only seen him play a couple of times Windsor and if i'm being brutally honest he did nothing to make me believe these links, perhaps these scouts have identified something in his game that I missed. Very tidy footballer but don't see where the hype is coming from yet. The lads that impressed me most from the games i've watched were Simms and Adedoyin, I think both could possibly have a big future at the club.

Thanks BB. Those are the two I’ve heard more about so makes sense.

{Ed002's Note - There is interest from Borussia Dortmund in Anthony Gordon as they continue to saturate youth team games in England with scouts. They also have interest in players from Liverpool, Manchester City, West Ham, Fulham and two from Chelsea. They are not the only German side taking this approach with Borussia Muenchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen having approached Chelsea about a couple of youngsters as well and Wolfsburg have spoken with Brighton about a kiddie. This approach will increase as time passes.}
