*ahem*, pardon?

I have done the same. Whilst I appreciate that to many that might sound pathetic, for me it's the only way I feel I can make a difference in this matter. If your happy with the club being criticised and embarrassed by agenda driven ex red pundits game after game that's fine. But I'm not

If anyone goes on newsnow website.look for the video of young kennedy scoring a absolute brilliant goal for our u21's. If he does that every game i'd not be too bothered bout doofy loofy not being allowed to come back. I never realised how fast and skillful the kennedy kid is.get the video watched.

The stadium issue has surfaced again with Terry Leahy saying the club is making progress, with the search narrowed down to 3 sites near Goodison (possibly Kenwright who said that). Does anyone have any idea where these sites are, and have we all accepted that we need to move or do some think we could still redevelop the grand old lady?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ground can't be developed plus would cost far too much as the the inner workings off the ground need to be upgraded. I will also add the church wouldn't and shouldn't not be knocked down another sticking point

Like everyone I'm feeling as flat as a pancake this Monday.
No Champions League spot and a fight for 5th is not what I was hoping for at Christmas.
This might be a knee jerk reaction but I would say 'stuff the Prem position' so what if we finish in the top ten?
Go for the cup, give some debuts to the kids, play Stones, Hibbert etc against West Ham and to hell with the result but then no more excuses please when we send our best (rested) 11 players away to Arsenal.
If Wigan can win the cup so can we but we cannot keep sending out tired/jaded players on a weekly basis and hope that they can perform at the very top of their game against the best sides (Wigan were relegated fighting on two fronts).
And stop press, surprise, surprise some loanees coming back from Tranmere, is RM going for the above idea?
I really hope so, 8th place and Cup Winners would do for me!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Nah Mushy, i'd rather a 5th place finish than an FA cup and anything lower. We get more money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mushy I said at the start of the season top ten and fa cup would do me for Bobbys first season.i would now take winning FA cup and finishing above the "snidey one"

Agree0 Disagree0

Id take top ten, fa cup, lpool 4th an moyes to win champs league, lpool in europa nex season

Agree0 Disagree0

Finishing 5th is now the be all and end all. Trophies are for losers. Its not even a trophy worth winning. The FA should do everyone a favour and get rid of them all.

Premier League = being the best of a division involving Hull, Palace, Cadiff, Fulham is not that much of a reason to get excited about. Not that good of an achievement winning that.

League Cup = Mickey Mouse. Its got 3 handles and is ugly. That is enough of a reason not to win it.

FA Cup = Who really cares? Manchester United couldn't even be bothered entering it one year, says it all. Until they stop crap teams like Yeovil, Luton, Stevenage entering then it will always be meaningless.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - are you sure you even like football mike?..

Can't agree with that. We're in the qf of the FA Cup next week and should be fielding our strongest side. Our aim should be to forget league positions that afternoon and smack the Arse on their own patch. We can win this trophy with a little luck; and boy are we due that after playing really well against Spurs and Chelsea yet finishing empty handed.
So what if other clubs don't take the Cup seriously? I would prefer to win some silverware compared to finishing 5th. The real money is on 4th and CL qualification anyway.
Let's hope AFC's horrific fixture list in the next couple of weeks catches up on them and they have one of those days when we can go there and win. We'll need Lukaku on top form. COYB.

Agree0 Disagree0

All about the FA Cup now for me. We got a chance of a trophy. Emirates we've already done it once. Get them back to our place under lights with an atmosphere and we can go through.

On a side note, there was a lot made of the FA Cup and how it basically means nothing anymore and teams undermine it. In my opinion, the FA undermined it in the 70s when they introduced the pointless League Cup. For me, that cup is the reason for a lot of our problems as a football nation. It should be ditched. By doing so the FA Cup would be the only other way of winning a domestic trophy (bringing back some prestige), 6th place would be rewarded with a place in Europe regardless (like it should) and it's absence from the calender would allow for a mid season break. Solves all problems in one swoop.

Um, why do our players keep getting all of these frigging stupid injuries.most notably hamstring injuries. is their a problem with our medical staff/team or is it just coincidence & bad luck? I'm starting to get suspicious!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's called having a small squad and certain players playing to many games.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think you could say Traore has played too many games mate

Agree0 Disagree0

I fear it's down to our style. It's typical, Moyes was known for drilling them into the ground at training which is why we had so many injuries under him (and Utd have had so many injuries this season). But Martinez demands a style of football that requires energy levels that are unsustainable and leads to muscle fatigue and higher chance of injury. Which is probably why our season has gone from Usain Bolt to Grant Holt

Recently speculation concerning Rodwells return to EFC in the summer must be just lazy journalism--his return would be a backward step--he want good enough when he was at the club and his development is now in freefall

I think you are right Deano, we all though he would be the next big thing but I don't think injuries helped too much mate, shame really as he did have something

still think rodwell, if he is able to shake off the injury omen, could turn out to be a cracking player, but would prefer to see him as a centre back rather than a defensive midfielder. he would be able to command a good place as a centre back and injuries would be less likely as a centre half.

The sale of Jelavic is now looking to be a very unwise decision--we are playing without a recognised striker--big mistake by Roberto

Im with the Ox on this, he was getting slated when he was here and the money we got for him was a big suprise to me

He was awful and could not buy a game, after 6 months at Hull he will lose confidence again and his goals will dry up, he done the exact same thing for us.

Same for Vic too, he will only play well against us, they were not good enough when they were here and Bobby seen that so he got rid, I know we do not have a goal scoring machine in the side and trust me these two would not have helped.

He will have a plan for the summer so trust in Bobby

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep, agree with Degs and Ox.
He was just not doing his job, makingthe net bulge. Too many chances too many misses. Nothing else on offer to make up for it either

7.5 million. We proper pulled their pants down on that one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelavic is good for one season and then he fades.

Half a season PK

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to buy two top class strikers next season to compete for top four. We should have 25m left in kitty from Fellani, Vic and Heitinga sales.

I would like to see us sign Bony from Swansea imo a top class striker. That would leave us 10m for someone else.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am sort of with you except for one very important fact. basic rule of football at any level. get your replacements sorted before you "get rid" of anyone.that includes the tea lady to the chairman.as well as players. I for one would not "get rid" of any employee of any football club until a replacement was sorted. According to half of you lot, we should get rid of Howard, Osman Pienaar, Naismith.and this is this season as well as (past tense) getting rid of Jelly, Anichebe etc. I do wonder when Messi and his pals will be signing for us.

Were we got 25mil from, that must be jelavics add ons or something
