No offence but why is everyone on here hyping up Holtby ok he is an Evertonian but is that all he is that makes him an appropriate player for us ! {Ed025's Note - he is actually a good player..but i am with you that just because he is a blue, does not mean we should sign him!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

1) Germany u21's captain
2) Lifelong wish to play for Everton
3) not a 30m player
4) Schalke's number 10, typical number 10 of that, playmaker, pace, play on wing, cross, passing...

im a swan but ive always loved the toffee's dont know why but i hope they do well becaus ethey are a hard working team and deserve a decent finish in the premier league or the fa cup because they had the hardest run to get to the final vs chelsea and get very close at 2-1 and breaking a record by scoring a goal in 26 seconds. well done toffees keep the faith ! {Ed025's Note - cheers mate..

we all know moyes will buy somebody we've never heard of and make him quality look at arteta cahill pienaar and fellaini there just a few of his talents hes made {Ed025's Note - the first 3 i will agree with...but having paid 15m for fellaini, hardly makes him a magician!..

Vellious got a brace for the reserves so i think moyes should give him another start! Bolton are a big team so vellious's size and strenth would be handy, saha may be too fragile for games that are likely to be phyiscal (bolton and stoke) he would serve better as an impact player for games like this! Would also give denis a start! Playing 442 with 2 big strong front men will cause boltons back line alot of problems! With drenthe coming in to pick up any loose balls in and around the box! But i can not see moyes playing 442 let alone giving vellious and denis a strt! I hope to be proved wrong! Come on davey mix it up a bit!

Donovan plus one striker of proven quality will do me in january. It would obviously be useful to have Pienaar and I always loved watching him play, but in his last year with us it was becoming increasingly obvious that despite all his class he wasn't delivering in terms of goals and assists.

i can see us finishing around 7th or 8th, just got a feeling - especially if we finally bring in 1 or 2 players who can finish off the chances we create!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Ive said that since the beginning of the season when everyone is going on about us maybe going down !!
Over the top, moyes knows we are lacking creativity and a top striker he has said it 4 or 5 times this season.
I think Moyes and the players know what there doing, i expect until January we are going to play like we have done all season pretty crap but if we can stick in there and be around 10th 11th place in january and we can pick up a couple of players weather it is loans or the money that is available a striker and a creative player, we will push up there and finish 7th in my opinion.
I think we are the 7th best team in the prem, you have the top 6 who all spend 100s of millions and then we are the best of the rest and thats a achievment considering we spend nothing like Newcastle, Aston Villa, Sunderland and Stoke.

There is a very good chance we will have new owners within 3 months, January transfer window will come to soon. I personally would have clear out sell hibbert (as I would play 3-5-2) billy, cahill (he quality but getting on a bit might as well get some money for him stoke in for him last window and we have to play system to fit around him), saha doesn't do enough would rather cash in and give someone else a chance.£12m in plus arteta money £20m to spend. Desperate for striker in January defoe to play off velios proven goalscoring machine. Others in henessey to understudy Howard, albrighton. Come next summer invest in more depth in squad. Probably need another Cb,Dmc,St plus got young green to come through.
Gk - Howard/Henessey
Rwb - Coleman/Albrighton
Lwb - Baines/Garbutt
Cb - Jaglielka/Heitinga/Distin/Duffy
Dmc - Fellaini/Rodwell
Amc - Drenthe/Barkley/Osman
St - Vellios/Defoe/Anichibe

Believable1 Unbelievable3

The odd thing I agree with but thank God we have Moyes!

Agree1 Disagree1

All a lot of crap it will be at least a couple of years until a takeover

Agree0 Disagree1

Anichebe!!?? {Ed025's Note - i know!!....he started off so well, then just lost all credibility with his last choice....what a pity!

Agree2 Disagree1

Albrighton? do you really think if we had some money we would sign Marc Albrighton? (P.S. He is a midfielder, not a defender)

Agree0 Disagree2

Marc Albrighton is class and young so yes why not buy him and yes hes a midfielder but Rodwell, heitnga, coleman are all defenders but they all play in midfield, and drenthe is a midfielder he can play LB and i think Coleman and Albrighton down the right hand side would cause any team a problem both very quick and have good footwork and like i said are both young

Hi
Had Bill Kenwright in my shop the other day. He bought a Daily Mirror and a Mars Bar, imagine my surprise and shock, he usually buys a Daily Star and a kit-Kat.
I asked him how it was going with sale of the footy club. Not so good was the reply, there are plenty of buyers but none of them are Evertonians. They have all these big plans, they want to build a new world class stadium with the best corporate facilities in the world, they want to buy world class players as well as developing the youth system, they want to make Everton a world brand with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and inter Milan, but when you ask them who scored the winning goal in the 1995 FA cup final against Manchester United they just give you a blank stare, that’s when I chase them. What is it you want? I asked. I just want someone who started watching Everton from the boys pen in the Gwladys Street end, someone who remembers the 1966 FA cup final against Sheffield Wednesday more fondly than the England world cup final against West Germany, someone who has named one of there children after the 1970 Champion winning side, even if it is his Daughter, Oh and he has to be a Billionaire. That’s not too much to ask for is it? With that he paid for his goods and left.
So there you have it, Blue Bill wants only the best for Everton so if you know any one who fits the criteria above you know what to do.

He bought a paper and a bar of chocolate?!!
He must have sold Victor!

is it just me or anyone else has also noticed that baines is not going forard and putting crosses in that much this season, i think more of his involvement in the game is crucial

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Thats because he knows drenthe wont track back enough as he should so if he is bombing forward and gets caught out then weve had it

Agree2 Disagree0

He hasn't got forward that much since Pienaar left in January !!
Him and Baines were telepathic and in my opinion the best left sided pair in the league.
I was gutted when he left, but thought oh well we still have Arteta who can link up with players and maybe play on the left........................ We need to replace Arteta and Pienaar.
We have good, solid, honest midfielders in Osman, Fellaini, Rodwell, Coleman and Drenthe, none of them playmakers like peanuts and Arteta though

Everton had problems getting the ball from defence to midfield as wolves got in their faces the red s**te used similar tactics against chelsea other teams will see how to stop everton if neville is fit he should play and link up with felli and rodwell (if fit) neville is good at linking with the defence and would improve things

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Getting in the oppositions face is something we really need to start doing. Giving them no time on the ball forces errors. This, in turn, lifts the crowd and the players. Remember last seasons 2-0 victory in the derby? We were straight into them from start to finish and it worked. Pure passion that was great to watch. I know this is a long time ago but I've not seen it as much since and not at all this season. We just back off and back off and invite pressure, resulting in the inevitable! Get into them from kick off and the goals will follow.
