Agree0 Disagree0

Is that true Degsy? If so I'm more gutted now then when we got blue socks again. At least me little girl had Cahill on her shirt for his last season...

Bluekipper have put 5 fishys on Tim Cahill moving to New York Red Bulls, now I know it may not be true but they dont usually put 5 on until its a done deal perhaps they know something we dont...
Joe EFC {Ed025's Note - sounds fishy to me..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Not happening Joe

SydneyBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

It's all speculation, Timmy went on holidays to the US checked out a few training facilities and put his young blokes in a LA galaxy training camp but said to my reliable source who is also good friends with Tim that the quality is worlds behind England and not even as good as Australia!
He's isn't going anywhere and if he does I'll be very surprised.

SydneyBlue {Ed025's Note - if he goes anywhere..it will be back to oz..

cahill has signed for new york cosmos spoke to stubbs relative 100 per cent truth {Ed025's Note - hmmm..

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Hmmm indeed...the cosmos are in the second tier of American 'soccer'..I highly doubt that a) Cahill would want to end his career playing at that kind of level; and b) the cosmos could afford the kind of wage that would tempt our Timmy to move there.

Murf

Agree0 Disagree0

New York Cosmos? Is timmy Dr Who cos he`d need to travel to the 70's to play for them I think you mean The New York Red Bulls.

ToffeeAL

Agree0 Disagree0

No Al the Cosmos are reforming for next season and Murf they have bag loads of money they are hoping to go back to what the old Cosmos did in bringing the best old players from Europe to the US so they could afford Timmy.

Why does everyone make up rumours about players we will sign what part of we don't have any money don't you understand it's pretty obvious yobo deal is going towards pienaar so if any one else is coming in we will need to sell more {Ed025's Note - i dont believe we will have to sell, imo we have brought in two excellent players, in naismith and pienaar (soon), and with the likes of junior, barkley, duffy etc, not to mention rodders, who will be like new players for us, we have a very competitive squad...there are still a lot of good freebies out there, or maybe a loan, who moyes may bring in..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

100% spot on ed. Terry blue

Agree0 Disagree0

And we probably do have a couple of million from somewhere that isn't sales i reckon

Agree0 Disagree0

You will soon have £8-10 million when you sell Baines...... I'm only joking Ed025. {Ed025's Note - i hope your wrong mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not the fees that our the problem it's the wages that is out of reach someone like hoillet would be a bargain but he wants 70k a week on your bike. I think with Naismith and pienaar nearly done I would like one more striker and that is good business done for our squad really want to see our youth coming through now. Is it worth having a pound on George green to become the youngest prem scorer I know it's a long shot but heard he is playing for reserves this season we may just get a sneak peak , rembember the name Rooney a arsenal 16 years old I believe Vaughan is the current holder I wonder what odds they would give

Hi ed
i keep reading that we are after Leicester winger Lloyd Dyer and F.C. Baku striker Winnie Parks.
Whats the cuances of it happening?
Theyd do for me {Ed025's Note - dyer?...29, and mediocre...not for me...winnie, i dont know much about..

Believable0 Unbelievable2

23 Jul 2012 14:05:48
Me self like I think with Rodders,Francisco jr, and Naismith if we bring in peanuts we will be laughing that's a full set of attacking mids/striker so calm down lad and get ready for the war ahead as toffees we all spend to much time thinking what we could have an not enough time thinking about what we already have COYB in moyes we trust {Ed025's Note - well said mate, i have said all along, that we dont need big changes..

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Totally agree we dont need a lot of new faces we have a really good squad and a bag full of talent with the young players coming through, am so looking forward to this season 4 weeks today and its party time. Terry blue {Ed025's Note - me too terry..

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's not get ahead of ourselves we have a strong squad now and really see barkley as our no 10 the boy is class and can do things out of the normal he is not too young to be put in there now here is my line up if pienaar signs

Howard

Coleman. Jags. Jinny. H. Baines

Felleni. Gibson. Rodwell

Naismith. Pienaar.

Jelavic

to be honest I think we should sell coleman to try buy a right winger, he gives all his heart with 100% effort however , his touch is not good enough and I can't really picture him becoming a great player, although he has looked good in the friendlies

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I agree and tbh I like Seamus but his touch is awful and Im not exagerating when I say my touch is better than his

Agree0 Disagree0

Coleman will be class next season, wait and see...
Toffeepidge

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope your right Pidge but I feel he just doesnt have the ability to play at the top level as a winger, possibly a right back I hope I'm proved wrong next season though.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know he had his problems last year with all his injury's and all, but in his first season he was fantastic. Ability like that doesn't just go away. I can see why people will have their doubts but class is permanent!

I'd quite enjoy the spectacle of our full sided games in training. The prospect of an internal 11v11 on the training pitch is a great gauge of squad balance and depth. Off the top of my head, for instance...

Howard
Coleman Heitinga Duffy Baines
Barkley Rodwell Gibson Osman
Jelavic Vellios

Anichebe
Cahill
Pienaar Felli Neville Naismith
Garbutt Distin Jagielka Hibbert
MuchaAlthough we aren't renowned for possessing the biggest squad, we are fortunate enough to have players with capabilities to command a number of various positions which, in seasons gone by, has often pulled us out of the muck.

Anyone else alarmed at lack of natural width and potency (in numbers) up top? These areas confirm where we need to (if possible) strengthen in this summer window.

(These sides were merely me utilising our best players off the top of my head....but yes, i would rather play ozzie on the left than gueye....for now)

if we get pienaar - then we really need to get one more player - a right winger - then the team will look great from front to back - at the moment we have no real threat from the right other than Hibbo crosses - but a decent winger would mean we were a threat going forwards from all over - left, middle and down the right - defences would have a big problem handling that team

my vote would be donovan - but if not any decent 'proper' right winger will do

pienaar is deffinet you can just tell with the yobo deal going though according to reports in turkey . i think moyes will move for another striker it wont be a massive fee maybe in the region of 3-5 million . a goalkeeper on a free transfer . Also like all clubs even if he gets his deals that he wants done before the deadline day we all now when deadline comes he will make a couple of more signings as the cheap deals are to much to reist for mangers . what do you reckon ed ?? {Ed025's Note - i expect pienaar, and maybe a striker on loan, or cheap..

23 Jul 2012 10:08:24
does the signing with stubhub bring in any money for us ? {Ed025's Note - yes mate...£1.7m

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Is that over the three years or up front? {Ed025's Note - probably 3 years..

Agree0 Disagree0

£1.7 million over 3 years. That's brilliant that.

Hi ed
i keep hearing rumours about Lloyd dyer from leicester and winston parks from f.c baku are coming in.
What do you reckon? {Ed025's Note - they are just names being bandied around mate..

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Winston Parks is 30 years old and has a s**t strike rate in a s**t league, why on earth would we sign him?!
