Not for me, Duffy looks the one we should be signing. Shame we let him go.

I bet Martin O'Neill is a good manager all of a sudden as well.

Personally I always thought he was and defended him when he was linked with us not that long ago. Supporters just seem to give out about players, managers and anything a lot more than they used to. Don't know whether social media has much to do with it or people in general are getting more fickle as time goes on. All I know is I don't like it. Seems to be no patience with people any more.

Anyway fair play to Ireland. That's the four internationals from the isles that are through. Well done to all 4. Great to see it.

apparently we have agreed a fee for wesley schneider [excuse my spelling] of 5 million most papers reporting it tomoz. 32yrs of age and for 5mill i think its a boss signing if it happens. 5 mill was his release clause and we have met that and it is said he would love to join.

He is a top drawer manager and has proved that everywhere he has been always gets the best out of players, just not been given a top job, cut from same cloth as clough, in my eyes mourinho or pep could not of done the jobs that he has done, let's be fair pep has managed Barcelona Bayern Munich and now man city, if you can't win things with them you are in the wrong job.

All done us proud. Even McGeady looked like he wanted to play. Not over weight at all. Could see six pack when he was putting on jersey just before going on!

All 4 played well. Can't understand why McCarthy gets stick sometimes. He's an absolute tank.

Shame we could not offer Neville Southall a role in the club, No nonance say it as it is with Nev, maybe that's the reason he's not been given one of the voices for the club like Sharp, Stuart etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2016 04:59:03
Bazwil66 Southall is scum. Big nev was appointed as manager of my local club (conference team) a few seasons back, he was lazy, didn't turn up most days, then did a runner after a couple of months and stole the company car he was using. He had absolutely no idea how to do the job and when he was caught out thought he could take whatever he wanted "because I'm a football legend"

{Ed002's Note - Twitter and a chap in the pub called Bernerd.}

My pointw was Roy hasn't given Everton players game time. Only 2 outfield players not used and both ours. Ex Liverpool manager and all that.

he has his 2 CB favourites in Smalling and Cahill so Stones would not get in unless an injury, regarding Ross he didn't have the best final half of the season where by Alli was good, is he impressing enough in training, probably not enough to start but so what, I don't want him to play, want him to have a rest then get the Legend that is Koeman working on him with his fitness team, we will see a different Ross next season and within 12 months he will be a starter in every England match, I don't think Koeman will ask him not to track back or tackle anyone, i'm betting he is a stone lighter come September.

Agree4 Disagree1

22 Jun 2016 12:52:23
I agree murf. I don't want them to play either. Let them have a rest and out of the limelight.

I also think the roles of the players are going to become more defined and suited to the type of player they are.

The problem was criticism or the lack of. Koeman already sounds like he's going to give Ross a kick in the ollies and point him in the right direction. Stones and Lukaku the same.

Next season should be better but the season after could be the one where we see all the hard work come together.

Agree4 Disagree0

22 Jun 2016 23:23:59
To be fair though we were playing with a 3 man midfield. Ross can't defend, so has to be played further up. It would basically have changed the formation to 4-2-4 if he had played.

Hi all. Just wondering if stones and Barkley may look for a move as hodgson hasn't played them. they may be thinking if we played for someonee else we would be playing for England. as Ireland looked doomed best of luck in the rest of the tournament.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

22 Jun 2016 11:14:23
So you mean they should sign for spurs, arsenal or Liverpool then. its down to Roy, not who they play for.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jun 2016 12:01:07
Think it's more a lack of trust. Roy likes people who work hard and don't take risks. That's why Henderson plays. 😀.

I know you get very similar questions all the time, but at the moment has there been any genuine interest in anyone at all?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

22 Jun 2016 09:59:14
Short and sweet, ed. suppose what navy is asking is with your in depth and inside knowledge. Do you know exactly who we have enquired about, can you tell us and how far along negotiations are with respect to these transfers?

I, for one, am prepared to hold on for the hopefully exciting ride between now and 1st September.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - This has been done to death on these pages and is subject to change due to the arrival of Koeman and the search for a Direct of Football (or whatever title is given).}

22 Jun 2016 09:19:08
Just seen Messi free kick against USA over night. argentina won 4-0. Wow. pinpoint. Just a word on Brad guzan in America's goal. had a mare. he is awful. poor villa fans.

Hi ed what's the news on coaches like big dunc and uns will they be staying or is rk bringing someone else?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Personally I would expect both to stay and whilst Koeman will look to bring some of his Southampton coaching staff with him there will be roles available. To some extent those roles will depend on what happens regarding Everton's quest for a Director of Football.}

22 Jun 2016 09:23:28
Is Monchi still our first choice Ed or is he likely to be going to PSG as speculated?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Monchi is very much the man Everton want but I am pretty sure that it won't be him. My expectation is that there will be an announcement from PSG regarding the first of the changes in the coming days.}

22 Jun 2016 09:27:30
is Monchi defo going to PSG Ed, if so do you know any other names we have been looking at regarding a DOF, thx.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer for definate but as I have have said Monchi is very much the first choice for PSG, they are soon to make an announcement about the changes and my expectation remains that Monchi will become their Director of Football (or whatever title he is given). I am not aware who Everton will look to as an alternative as this is a very major decision. If you want a wildcard Murf, I will throw in the name of Jelle Goes.}

22 Jun 2016 09:54:05
I don't think jelle goes anywhere. I think it wobbles. hahaha. 'I'll get my coat'

All this talk of New players coming in I would just like to take a moment to congratulate one player we already have,
Well done funes mori on reaching the final of the Copa America, surely he will be a starter next season, if he loses his silly fouls he's going to be world class he has everything u want from a cb and hopefully will learn a bit from koeman, he is the reason I wouldn't be that gutted to lose stones.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

22 Jun 2016 06:59:11
It is all well and good wanting to sign a marque player to make a statement as our new owner apparently wishes but we have to ensure that player who so ever he may be fits into the system and squad in the first instance. Thank goodness we have Mr Koeman, that's all I can say.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

22 Jun 2016 09:32:24
Signing a 'superstar' would attract attention I'm sure!
However he would have to tick certain boxes with RK I'm doubly sure!

At the moment BCT, what with the tournements etc. . . It's mostly 'clickbait' stuff we are getting anyway mate.
