Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

I know he only cost 20k but is there a better RB in the league at the moment, we may have the best LB and RB in the Prem

Blues and Eds, especially 025 and 002, have a great Xmas and New Year guys, onwards and upwards

{Ed039's Note - I will pass your sentiments onto them Degsy)

His current form is outstanding. He is also the most improved player we have (Barkley aside). If Wenger thinks he can get him on the cheap, he had better think again. I know most of you hate him, but I will point out another Moyes signing. Please let us show a bit more respect to our ex manager. Calling him things like Gollum only makes fools of us. Let's enjoy our success and thank Moyes for setting a squad up ready for Martinez to take up to another level. I know Moyes has said a few insulting things (and I am surprised at these) but we should all enjoy what we have rather than being bitter and insulting. Happy Christmas to all you Blues out there. wherever you are. Remember you are chosen.

I'll show Moyes the respect he shows us Degsyp, absolutely zilch, nada.

The only person mentioning Gollum these days is you degsy. I hope you get a new record for xmas because I'm sure I'm not the only one who wishes you'd change yours!

respect should go both ways and considering he has shown us no respect whatsoever he will not get any merry christmas or happy new year cards from me, instead we gave him a tall version of screech from saved by the bell and pocketed 27m whilst doing it so I suppose we can thank moyes for that at least

Pod you just mentioned Gollum! Gosh, so did I.

Seriously mate, stop preaching to us that we must respect David Moyes. Yes, his signing, but did HE spot him. NO. Its the low paid scout sat on a cold Irish night watching Sligo Rovers who found him. Moyes just had to say yes or no. For 100k or whatever, not exactly a hard choice was it. He played terrible football and has shown a complete lack of respect to us. So why should i, or anyone else, show it him? i'm all for opinions and I respect that you have respect for Moyes. But to tell me that I should be respecting him? Jog on, I have no respect for him. And I never will. If you think that makes me a fool then that's again, your opinion. But this fool ain't preaching to anyone. I have my opinion and am happy with it.

Happy Xmas though to u too Degs. What stays on the pitch and all that.

Nice one Colin. I do understand the anger towards him, believe me. I just think we at Everton are a bit classier than silly insults. I was actually amazed at some of the things Moyes was alleged to have said, but put that down to him joining a trash club that has no respect for anyone. Like I say, I understand anger, but I don't understand childish insults like Gollum etc. I guess I was involved in kids coaching and have seen some weird behaviour from parents on the sidelines. That sort of trains you to keep your mouth shut and try harder to win. rather than dishing out rude insults. Have a look at ssn rumours, one of the Utd fans said they should not bid on Baines. After all Everton had ripped them off with Felli and Rooney? Can you believe that? Rooney for 24 million was robbery?!?! They have won everything in the 5 or so years he has been there and if they sold him now they would at least double their money. Anyway, Merry Christmas and I will try and stop defending Moyes.

Fairs, reading back I was OTT. I guess Moyes has just left a very bad taste in my mouth by the way he has acted. Goes against everything we stand for and everything he tried to build over a decade. but the language used was poor on my part. But my opinion on Moyes is the same!

all about barkley as usual and a side note on coleman from pundits but no mention of james mccarthy who I thought was outstanding today he kept the ball when under pressure, always made the right pass and did his job very well, 13m was an absolute bargain for him

Mike-Ox Long

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed Mike he was and has been outstanding. Makes our 4-1 vs Fulham more impressive as he was missing. Just can't get beyond how good Seamus Coleman is. Second half today was simply superb. A captains, skilled winger, tackling defenders, midfield scoring performance rolled in to one.

Svenny

Like I said before Mike, 27 mill for Felli. 13 mill for McCarthy. Who did the best business?

How we have been given 27.5m for Fellaini I will never know. There will one day be PPI like lawyers claiming in years to come they could get the money back. Its complete theft! Could have been worse for the Mancs tho, the last side taken for such a ride were done to the tune of 35m for an object only fit for dragging a plough

We are not playing to our potential and still winning games. For me the sooner Baines is back the better. Our weak link at the moment is Pienaar. Moves break down through him as he is not up to the pace of our passing and he is handing over possession too regularly. Baines left back and move Oviedo to left wing as the think he is a fantastic player. Coleman is playing out of his skin. A striker in jan and a cm are a must. Cm for cover as we are short there and I know he takes headlines and he has been in some matches great but far too often I think Lukaku is actually non existent. I would have given him a 4 today as a match rating but he will start on Boxing Day regardless.

Svenny

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bit harsh on Lukaku mate. Makes a lot of good runs without getting the service. You see this if your at the game, but rarely see it on TV. Main thing I think he needs to work on is ball retention when played into him, otherwise more than happy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seen him live only 3 times as I live in Sweden but pointless runs don't deserve service. Today Mirallas and him were through, 2 on 1 and he just needed to dart towards the near post and he scores, just hung next to their defender. Love his attitude, love his attributes, WILL be the best out and out striker in the world but he is still learning and the fact that we have nobody to challenge a guy still learning his trade needs to be addressed.

Svenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Okay so Lukaku probably should have gone to the near post but there were another coiuple of occasions when Kev could have played him in but decided to shoot instead. Look on the bright side we are still winning games while Lukaku goes through this dry spell once that's over then just how good will we be?

Merry Xmas one and all

SA90

Agree0 Disagree0

I was at the game yesterday and Lukaku was a constant Thorne in the Swansea defence. Yes he didn't score and yes he's had better games but his running off the ball is sometimes not seen quickly enough and the chance is gone.

I'd give him a 7, 4 is a bit harsh but I understand if you were watching it on TV that it may have seemed different

Good win despite not playing to our potential but being picky, despite Ross being MOM and brilliant in possession, I would like to see him use his physical presence by pressing defenders in possession and not drift 10 yards off.
Also, Mirallas has enough top level football experience to know when to release the ball to team mates in better positions. Felt for Romelu today.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mirrallas biggest weakness is his ego - because it makes him selfish and he's the biggest goal grab there is

Congrats today folks 3 points at Swansea is a big result, and into the top 4 you go. Hopefully we will make sure you stay there tomorrow :-) but should we fail to win our next two, please wave nicely and don't forget to indicate as you over take us :-)

Well done again, lots of teams will drop points at Swansea that's a very big banana skin avoided today.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cheers gunner, it's always nice to get a win away from home regardless of who you play. I still have faith that Arsenal will win it this season although that hinges on whether you buy a class striker in Jan. All the best!

Barkley, McCarthy and Coleman the 'new' Ball, Kendall and Harvey (okay I know Coleman's a full back)!
100+ million value over next two years?
Tim Howard a great shot stopper but is still having 'Dracula' moments.
A very good win this one which showed great team spirit and determination after letting in a daft goal in freezing conditions and torrential rain.
This is a very special Everton team and I am increasingly considering the possibility of an incredible next six months with many great years to come.

bit harsh on Howard, could do nothing about the deflection off Oviedo. The fault has to be blamed at Pienaar for not dealing with either the cross or the player eventually connecting with the ball. Coleman's goal was a bit of a strange one, for me I understand it swerved in the air and the conditions were wet, but the keeper was no where and the ball didn't exactly nestle in the top corner. suppose we should count it as lucky/ poor goalkeeping as if we reverse that I would expect Howard to deal with it. As for Barkley's free kick it was simply outstanding and can't think of many keepers who would have saved it if any! The top 4 performances are creeping into our game now, where we don't play to our best but come away with 3 points. especially in games away from home. There won't be many teams in the top half of the league who will come away from Swansea with 1 point, let alone 3 points. Fantastic start to the festive period, a couple of games which could see us stay in the top 4 and push through into 2014, especially with the top teams facing eachother, while we don't have to face any of the top 8. Although no game is easy in the prem, surely its easier playing the lower positioned teams than the top teams (stating the obvious), I see Southampton as the potential upset, but still fancy our chances to keep this unbeaten record going and dare I say pick up maximum points until January 3rd. Sunderland and Southampton at home, then Stoke away. COYB let's take the game to these 3. CraigHuytonBlue

Does any one eles think Coleman should of got man of the match today. BSM

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I do like mini Messi mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

I do as well. Seamus has been fantastic all season but yesterday was his best game yet. He continually foraged up that right wing, scored an excellent first goal yet tracked back when he needed to. It's clear that Barkley's free kick (and what a strike) won him the man of the match award but I would still have given it to Seamus based on that performance.
If Baines is currently worth 15/16 million what price would you put on Coleman?

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't sell Coleman Daveyboy, player's with the quality he possesses are priceless. You don't sell your best players.

Two great goals, which if they'd have been scored by certain others - including him that has just signed a double your money contract as a thank you to his fans for their loyalty, but has still inserted a get out clause - we'd have still been hearing about it next Christmas,
What a shame Seamus isn't English.

Anyone got 2 spare tickets for fa cup?

I can't book as I'm not a season ticket holder :(

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wait for general sale. No way will they sell out that quickly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you want to go to that game GD?
As we all know, the FA Cup doesn't matter (or has never mattered). It's best we go out early as it could be a bit embarrassing if we win try to win a trophy mate.
We need to get to the magical 20 years and no trophies just to prove how good we are.
Best just saving your money I think.
