Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

22 Dec 2012 22:03:06
Happy Christmas all, aint been on in a while, but with the January silly season nearly upon us, like all of us i'l be on this site 24hrs a day, hoping upon hope that messi is seen at Finch Farm!!!!

Anyhow, great result and performance today all round, Howard looked solid at the back, and we didn't give away much, midfield was magnificent, Ossi and Nuts were a class apart, great to see Nuts hitting form again and lets face it other htan Felli, Ossi has been my player of the seaon so far.

Up front is not firing at the moment, the Jellyman is out of sorts, but he'll come good, all strikers go through these phases, so give him support not grief, cause class is permanent. Vic still makes me furious at times though, he has the potential to be so much more, when the ball is played into his feet or with his back to goal he is simply quality, I wish he could transfer this to his whole game, then we'd have one hell of a player!!

Now for the officials, we could so easily be facing a defeat at the hands of the officials, its not just us but in nearly every game i've watched this season the officials are having too much of a say in the result. A good official is one who goes the whole game un-noticed, however far too many games this season are being remembered for what officials did or did not do!! I've simply lost count!! we all know Ossi scored a perfectly good goal and that neither player deserved red!! Where's it gonna stop!!

Anyhow delighted with our position and performance so far this season, it really is a time to be jolly if you a toffee!!

And for all you reds trolling this sight, we wish you a happy Christmas too!!

Three city players will be coming to us in jan they will be:

Milner-7M
Lescott-loan
Dzeko-loan

Gandolph {Ed002's Note - That is not allowable.}

Believable2 Unbelievable9

They wouldnt let out Dzeko on loan surely?
Joe EFC

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you mean Ed? {Ed002's Note - The PL rules restrict the number of loan players per season to four in total; the number at any one time to two, the number from any one club to two and the number from anyone club at any one time to one. There are some exclusions for the likes of Goalkeepers and players on a loan to buy deal (As opposed to an option to buy).}

I know Anichebe gets alot of stick and most blues don't seem to like him but I think he's great to have around. He is strong, his hold up play is good and he has that happy knack of scoring goals. The manager and the other players really seem to like him and you might have noticed that when the club puts a contract in front of him, he just signs it. I can't recall him ever turning around and asking for more.

Lay off our Victor!

Believable8 Unbelievable1

He wanted to leave and had agreed a move to Newcastle but broke his leg and it fell through that is why a lot of blues have bad feelings towards him but the thing I have against him is he gets knocked off the ball to easy and rolls around to much, he is a monster of a man and needs to have more pride in himself. He should model himself on Duncan not that red divvy Hesky

It was Hull not Newcastle mate, he done his leg against Newcastle , that red##### nolan PADDOCKBLUE

Just a thought - that might have been posted by others - but why would the board go out on a limb to provide transfer funds in January if David Moyes hasn't signed, or at least committed to signing, a new contract. If he goes, any new manager would surely want/need funds and, even with the increased Sky TV money next season, would we have sufficient considering our debts? That's especially so with UEFA financial fair play rules looming and with the Premier League 'break even' proposal. With our stadium we don't generate enough commercial income, so we're depending on getting into the Champions League group stages so that we could attract and afford better players that would (in turn hopefully) bring continued success. It seems to be a Catch 22 situation for us. I'll always blame the mid-80s European ban and the Agent Johnson period for where we are now financially. Once a blue, always a blue.

Pleeze stop all this jelly bashing, there's a lot of short memories and a lot of fickle blues out there,we paid 5 mill for the kid and are getting good value,he's upped his work rate and the premier league is the highest quality he's played at so for me he's doing ok his convertion rate per chance created is sound,he's got plenty of passion and has only been here for twelve months some foreign players take that Long just to settle in and feel at home, stick with the guy and he will repay us with goals,I have no doubt .........tristen

great ferformance from the midfeild dominated the game anichiebe did well coming back from injurie nothing wrong with osmans goal nothing in the rules to say a player cant occupy the space in front of the keeper.Ed can gibsons red card be appealed and how long would that delay a suspension if we get to january we could have new players to step in if he gets a ban. thgfest {Ed025's Note - it can, and I feel will, be appealed, but I'm not sure by how long mate..

Fantastic win, 3 points is all that matters. We could have scored more on another day and Jelavic should have buried his chances that he got. Ref was shocking and we should appeal Gibbo's red. Merry Christmas blues!

Excellent 2nd half got stuck into them I think if Neville would have been available last week at stoke we would have got 3 PTS. Watching LFC v Fulham I have got to laugh at the Liverpool supporters twice now they have played the ball back to Reina and they started clapping muppets lol.

You can tell they have been training with howard on the training pitch as the last few games he is looking a bit more assertive in the 6 yard box with regards to punching crosses and catching them as well. really stand a chance today against Coles shot though, Heitinga backed off him too much. And if we had a top class striker on the bench would you really see Jelavic in the starting eleven. his confidence has gone in front off goal and you can see him trying too hard now too get that ball in the back of the net.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

He had a bit of a shocker today, caught offside looking across the line on countless occasions.. And had one or two good chances. Think he needs a rest. I'd start Vellios against Wigan. He deserves a chance, at least {Ed025's Note - I see your point mate, but with Vic playing up top with him, and doing quite well actually, it was yet another partner for him to get used to, i think we need to cut the guy some slack, he is giving100% every game, and not a lot is going for him at the moment, I agree that a bit of a rest may be the answer, but do you really think vellios is going to improve us?, because I don't..

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not questioning his desire or commitment, just think he may benefit from a breather. And if there's one game, bearing in mind we have a few games coming relatively quickly, we could get away with it, then it would be Wigan at home. No disrespect to them, of course. I don't think Vellios would improve us either but may be something for DM to think about

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Nice one Ed025. The birds you 'pipe' are a bit like Everton. They were better 20 years ago, not bad up front but easy to penetrate and definitely not tight at the back.

Great result today, does anyone fancy a run out in the midfield on Boxing Day?

that has to be one of the worst referee displays ive seen in a long time, none of them were red cards, the osman goal was A GOAL, he gave throws, corners, free kicks the wrong way all game, BUT, we won and battled well with a few players out, coyb {Ed025's Note - gibbo will be a massive loss though..the ref was pathetic, yet another good goal ruled out, they say these things even themselves out, if they do.. We will be fighting it out for second..

I am convinced there is a conspiracy theory and it is called EVERTON. How is that not a goal by Osman.

Premier League Refs are a joke!

Aussie Toffee

Believable4 Unbelievable0

It's a joke!!

Fluffy01016

Agree0 Disagree0

All of the officials today were absolutely shocking. The ref didn't have a clue or the bottle to overrule his linesmen. Osman's goal should have stood and that was never a sending off offence for Carlton Cole. Terrible, terrible display of refereeing by all concerned. The only decision they seemed to get right was the Gibson sending off sadly but it still begs the question would it have been a sending off if he hadn't sent Cole off for no reason earlier?
1eyeblue {Ed025's Note - I thought that none of them were sending offs 1eye, very poor display by the ref..

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't put my point across too well there ed. What I was trying to convey was that out of the two sendings off Gibson's looked like the worse challenge. But, I felt the ref only sent him off to atone for the wrongful dismissal of Cole and try to appease the home fans. In reality neither really merited a sending off and a better ref would made more sensible decisions in both cases. 1eyeblue

Agree0 Disagree0

I wrote this comment at Half-Time, however the Refs and linesman were terrible. I wrote this in pure frustration and I am sure all of us were thinking the same thing. Arsenal gifted goals, Everton ripped off every week.

My team for today

Howard
Coleman Jags Distin Baines
Pineaar Osman Gibson Oviedo
Naismith
Jelavic

Last few time I've seen Ovideo on the left he looked good. Think he should get a chance and if it didn't work, he could come off, Pinaeer back on the left and Barkley on

Fluffy01016

Believable1 Unbelievable0

A site I saw reckoned:
Howard
Jags Johnny Buzz Baines
Ossie Nev Gibbo Peanuts
Big Vic
Jela

It reckoned that Coleman was injured and that Vic and Nev were back and in the starting X1. Personally I'd like to give Barkley a chance today and also Nace in his preferred position behind the striker.

Av bin earing a lot of negative jangling in regards to stevie Naismith,I say let's stop this now, let's back him and get fully behind him,his form is improving and he's getting sharper and fitter, and how refreshing it is to see a footballer that doesn't seem to have an ego and takes time to help the homeless and put his hand in his pocket for those less fortunate ,stevie Naismith a really decent young man,........tristen
