So Howard Webb says David Moyes gave him the hardest time when at Everton. That's because we have suffered more than our fair share of poor rerereeing decisions over the years Howard! I am 59 years oldand ok we have had one or two go our way over the years. but I can remember so many incidents where refs have just bottled it when controlling our games. It really hit me when Andy Johnson was repeatedly tripped in games without us being given penalties. The previous season when playing for Crystal Palace, he was given about 10 during the season. Some of the ones when playing for us were so blatant, a child would have given them!

I remember this Degsy. They invited Keith Hackett to view 10 penalty incidents which weren't given that season and he said that 7 of them were clear pens. Then we got our only penalty desision on the final game of the season I think.

Yep that was it. The season before Johnson had been given 7 pens for fouls on him. Very similar ones to what we should have had. It was the way AJ played. He had a verly long stride and could nip the ball away from an incoming defender. who then was already committed to a tackle. He scored 11 pens for Crystal Palace the season before. We had had none all season until Moyes complained to Hackett and miraculously we got one laast game. As you said we provided a video and Hackett agreed that at leaast 7 were definites. We missed a Champions League position (LFC got it) by 10 points. Assuming we scored a few of the possible penalties we should have been awarded, then we surely would have qualified for it. Then there was the Clottenberg Derby match. and I can think of many more. The only two I can think that went for us was Bolton at home were they clearly scored but the ref ruled it did not cross the line and a Europa game were in the 1st minute the ref gave us a penalty and sent their defender off for hand ball and it actually hit him in the chest! I remember the FA Cup derby game were we came back from 2 nil down to only have Hamilton's goal disallowed by Clive Thomas. Add to those the Graham Poll dissalowed Don Hutchinson. I also remember Mick Lyons having a header disallowed. And these are just derby games. I think over the years we have had more than our fair share of injustices. So back to Howard Webb's moan about Moyes and Everton. look up Everton injustices Howard! That is why we whinge at refs!

Thanks a lot Degsy. Hadn't thought about Clive Thomas for a long time. Don't think I've ever fully recovered from that decision.

I think you missed the decision by the "best referee in the world" Collina with the disallowed goal. Oh and Howard I'm suprised sir Alex didn't give you a hard time. Every time you refereed a game with Man U, you should have been wearing Red not black. The audacity by some Muppet's.

It's also amazing that nothing was done when a certain referee let slip he was told to forget certain incidents by the FA!

We talk about UEFA and FIFA being corrupt but our own FA is no different. It's more like WWE wrestling than football these days.

Oh my goodness Aussie. How could we forget that total injustice. Looking back I don't think there was any way we were going to win that fixture. They just couldn't have 5 teams in the champs league now could they!

You're also forgetting the match against Utd. i think we were 3-0 down and got back to 3-3.the ref played about 7 minutes injury time as Utd piled on the pressure around our box, then as soon as we broke on the counter attack and were in a three v one situation and we crossed the half way line the ref blew up for full time. i remember moyes lost it.
