Jelle Vossen to sign for the blues, good goalscorer, bags of talent.

I think we need to sign 2 strikers this summer. We have had so many games this season were we have been on top and not scored.

Evertons takeover all depends on liverpools application on Stanley park running out , if this is to happen people waiting in the wings with £ , 2 parties stil at the table with bill 4 weeks till we find out !

Believable9 Unbelievable3

I am sure something is going on behind the scenes, as Moyes and the players all seem to be keen to stay, rather than the mass exodus that was talked about.

Agree2 Disagree1

The sooner something is sorted the better, everton could compete with the likes of City and Arsenal if they had a big cash investment. We have the basis of a very good team, it just needs adding to and we need to sign up our best players on lucrative contracts

Agree1 Disagree0

Stop it snodin , i know its you again , you promised this takeover s. .e would stop

Agree1 Disagree1

No one on this earth would want to buy everton, its a team on the down, once moyes goes, relegation fight and then championship football is imminent.

COYB Lets give Chelsea a feisty match again, they don't like playing us. I hope moyes doesn't play 4-5-1 as we need to go for it tomorrow as there is nothing to lose.

Id just like to say, Moyes is going nowhere, i don't care what anyone says he is loyal to Everton. Regarding any takeover I doubt it very much, its true we need investment but I believe fully in Moyes. COYB

Moyes has stated he loves the control he has at goodison. He has 2 years left on his contract, i am sure he would like to get silverware before his contract ends and then he will probably weigh up his options then.

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe Moyes will at least see out the last 2 years of his contract. He states he still has the same passion for the club as what he had when he came. He controls things at Everton and states he likes that

In response to the ridiculous rumour that Baines is going to Liverpool, this is complete nonsense, dream on. And to the simpleton who said he heard it in Carraghers bar, as if. I was in the LFC store last week and the cashier said Messi is a done deal dream on ha ahhaah! Come on you rednoses grow up.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

How come you were in the LFC store? was you on a day trip from your hometown in wales

Agree1 Disagree1

I had ran out of bog roll, that's why I was in there, the shirts in there are really soft.

Owens name keeps getting brought up, but i think we would be better off signing someone who is going to give us a run of games. Bendtner would be an ambitious move for us to show we mean business next season.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Yep we would all take notice of that move , sleepless nights ahead , him and DAVE NUGENT would be awesome

Moyes staying. Told the press hes 'not interested' in the Villa job and its disrespectful to be advertising the position whilest Houllier is still technically in charge.

I hope that the articles in many of today's sports pages will finally put to rest the ridiculous "Moyes to Villa" posts & rumours. Moysie has stated publicly that he is not interested in the Villa post, & that he is preparing for next season in the knowledge that he will not have millions to spend. That doesn't sound like someone who, "thinks he has taken Everton as far as he can", to quote a line I am sick of seeing on these pages. One of my only worries is that we may lose Bainsey this summer. However, it will not be for some of the paltry figures some posters have been quoting, (dream on, Kopites! ). I have heard the only way he will leave is in a Lescott like deal - i.e. someone like Man City paying £25million +. There are some rumours that Moysie may take a couple of players plus cash. (Personally, I wouldn't mind Milner & Richards in a deal like that!) Ideally though I'd still love to have Bainsey here next season.
The main targets will be strikers though, & names already mentioned include Klose, Defoe, C. Cole & Crouch.
An interesting, but in no way spectacular summer awaits. (Again!)
